This song exists in many versions, far too many to count, but this one here will always be my favorite. It just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Even after six years, this feeling has never waned or faded.
You know that feeling when your chest suddenly tightens, your stomach got butterflies then goosebumps all over your body appears and a sudden chill crossing your body... you remember every beautiful damn scene. Uggghhh can't stop crying.
At least both of them felt the happiness. I cried more because of it and not that Chtholly ended up protecting him after disappears and let Willem behind even it still hit me hard.

It is also explained that Seniorious also chooses people who accept that their hope can’t come true, but still use the power to create a new one even if it's not the same one that they want." Adds quite a bit of background to all the wielders of the sword. Seems like Chtholly might've beaten the sword in the end though
@@ChibiNinjaVT I still think it applies even if she used a different sword. It's got less to do with the fact she used a different sword in the end but more of she was content with what she had at the end and did find happiness in her relationship with Willem. Or perhaps the sword did beat her, because maybe she never wanted to die there to "save" willem, as referenced by the "Seniorious also chooses people who accept that their hope can’t come true"

This song fits perfectly with the anime, the person singing wants her lover to make a cambric shirt without seams or any needlework (wich is impossible), she also wants a acre of land between the sea and the beach wich is also impossible because an acre is measured by land. It's a perfect analogy with what happens in the anime, both Chtolly and Willem made promises to each other they knew they couldn't keep, but they did it anyways because of love.
"Sober and grave grows merry in time" "Every rose grows merry with time" "There's never a rose grows fairer with time" "Yesterday holds memories in time" One of these refrains probably would have hit harder. For this show check the Nox Arcana version they created around the old refrain version "Yesterday holds memories in Time" that fits hard.
I dont have an explanation for HOW and maybe its illogical but i think in 1 way THEY DID keep their promise to one another. Even if they fell as warriors on the field. Atleast they fought together till the end. They took care of 1 another
There are 2 ways of going about understanding this song I feel, theres the way you mentioned. And also in the sense that, the song is about a relationship that is fated to be impossible. E.g. the man/woman in the song is giving his lover impossible challenges to complete, in order to be with them sort of sense. This all makes this song and anime much much sadder.
This is just gossip I read online, but I saw someone once mention that parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme- in that order- was supposedly an ancient abortive treatment. Interesting change to context... _if true._
An island is a land between sea and beach right? You can curdle a cambric shirt by creating a mould and casting a polymer into it. None of it is impossible.

Stunningly beautiful and delicate but I won't say it's better than the original Simon & Garfunkel classic, which has a soothing sweetness and depth of feeling that doesn't fade with time, while this pretty anime version have yet to stand the test of time. In the meantime both versions are welcome.
This is a story of a woman trying to attain her true love. Parsley(Comfort) Sage(Strength) Rosemary(Love) and Thyme(Courage) its an Old song by Simon & Gurfunkel titled Scarborough Fair.
Lmao Kek I think it does, I personally like it better, but that might be because this is a new version of a great song that I've listened to for years and has become somewhat... overused for me.
You are not alone, I also liked Battlestar Galactica version of "All along the Watchtower" more than the ones from Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan. We all have our strange tastes
Have I ever expressed how much I love this song? I can't put it in words. This is my favorite song by a landslide, whenever I feel sad, I play this and it makes me feel better, and when I'm happy I play it anyway, I can also play this on the piano now. so truly a great song
The anime didn't make me sad or cry. I just finished it and had to look for this piece. Now I'm reflecting on the series and am very sad ..... and puzzled.
Timekeeper Zaphkiel It actually isn't confirmed if she died at the end of the show. The show also hints at the possibility that she is still alive and that she's just missing.
Don't forget, the author established that a previous incarnation of a fairy can "take over" her reincarnated body. Next to no reason to add that and not have it happen with ctholy 2.0. There will be a happy ending, it just might take till the end of sukamoka or it's sequel

I have never cried watching an anime until I watched this one, it's a short anime but that last episode and this music will bring tears to even the most battle harden warrior. Highly recommend watching, will need tissues trust me.
last scene broke my heart

Just want to leave my mark here to appreciate this beautiful song and well-made anime story.
Thanks for the upload.
Goosebumps goosebumps and bursted into tears
Meilleur anime que j'ai jamais vu
So beautiful...
This video is so powerful im crying
Boi shut yo sensitive ass up
nvm everyone just cried, dang anime
Stunningly beautiful and delicate but I won't say it's better than the original Simon & Garfunkel classic, which has a soothing sweetness and depth of feeling that doesn't fade with time, while this pretty anime version have yet to stand the test of time. In the meantime both versions are welcome.
Robin Khalawan it’s like the sound of silence
nerty6 ofc their their creator are same.. Oh wait Scarborough Fair is a folk song actually..
Simon&Garfunkel.are indeed a better vocalists. But they added antiwar messages to the lyrics, which ruined the song's theme.
I cry every time no joke
Anyone else just want to start clapping crying at the end how beautiful this song fits the ending
ah yes, another night of depression again
This is a story of a woman trying to attain her true love. Parsley(Comfort) Sage(Strength) Rosemary(Love) and Thyme(Courage) its an Old song by Simon & Gurfunkel titled Scarborough Fair.
I just found a version that surpasses Simon & Garfunkels, in an anime no less...
Wormy The cover from Celtic Woman is a very good one as well.
It doesn’t lol
Lmao Kek I think it does, I personally like it better, but that might be because this is a new version of a great song that I've listened to for years and has become somewhat... overused for me.
You are not alone, I also liked Battlestar Galactica version of "All along the Watchtower" more than the ones from Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan. We all have our strange tastes
So true. The first six minutes of WorldEnd totally sold me, and I watched it in one sitting. Shattered heart at the conclusion
Have I ever expressed how much I love this song? I can't put it in words. This is my favorite song by a landslide, whenever I feel sad, I play this and it makes me feel better, and when I'm happy I play it anyway, I can also play this on the piano now. so truly a great song
i love that song it was so epic in the first episode
Love this song
Beautiful !
AIGHT BOYS TIME TO CRY
"Dont cry because im gone , smile because I became the happiest girl in the world right now"
-Chtholly
It hard for me to hear this song again after the last episode n find out what ctholly fate😭😭😭. At least SHE was the happiest girl the world.
The anime didn't make me sad or cry. I just finished it and had to look for this piece. Now I'm reflecting on the series and am very sad ..... and puzzled.
Civia!!! Don't mind me i am here after watching a certain Unicorn sad graduation.
pain
I'm in a fantasy world right now
Hello Iminafantasyworldrightnow, I'm the Blue Quartz Dragon.
I love this song..!
This anime needs 2 season
Alex1337 well Willem would be alone, broken somewhere
Fox Powa Season 2 would be all about Ren and Willem being together previous to the human extinction.
spoiler: Nephren died
Timekeeper Zaphkiel It actually isn't confirmed if she died at the end of the show. The show also hints at the possibility that she is still alive and that she's just missing.
Willem and ren are still alive in the past, chtholly gets reborn at some point
Worldend is the sadist anime I have ever seen not bad and this music is so good too
I like Yamada's voice more than other singers
Only way to stop my tears after hearing this song in the final battle scene is to watch commander Erwin get his arm bit off again and shout susummmee
Ah, shit, here we go again... Fuckin feel time
Don't forget, the author established that a previous incarnation of a fairy can "take over" her reincarnated body. Next to no reason to add that and not have it happen with ctholy 2.0. There will be a happy ending, it just might take till the end of sukamoka or it's sequel
am 19 and still cry to this song too much feels
I cry with this song ever since it was first released =P
