Paloma is a really great girl irl. A couple of years ago I was very drunk one night in the LES and fell on the sidewalk and she literally picked me up off the street and asked if I was okay and if I needed help. I won’t ever forgot that moment of kindness she extended to a stranger. I’m so happy to see her thriving! What a great soul and beautiful woman ❤️
Ohh yes i've never been plus size however i was 5'9 when i was 12 studying in a christian school. What a horrible 12 years in so many ways. I'm still trying to fight all the insecurities that i've got at that time. Being too sexy without doing anything. Without dressing a certain way it was always just too sexy. Still trying to be confindent and comfortable just the way i am. Sometimes i own how easly i can grab attention and sometimes i'm a regular person with general interests who doesn't care about being attractive or not. I mean i don't have to represent my body all the time my soul is free. I get u and i was also liks wow this got to me so much wheb she said those words i emidiatly thought of teenage years 😕❤
I can relate too, I hit puberty very early and always had big breasts which made me very uncomfortable. I always wear baggy clothes to hide the side of by breasts.
I think Ashley is a phenomenal interviewer. She is very engaged and actually allows her guests to talk. Maybe because this is set up as a podcast versus an actual talk show, but she exudes excellent communication skills. I hope to see much more content from Ashley!! Amazing job girl
This is the fourth time im watching this interview. Every time i feel society’s norms of the perfect body gets to me, i just watch this and feel okay again. This is why these conversations are so important. Thank you❤️
Ashley & Paloma, this is the most incredible interview I have seen. I’m 35 and looked 21 when I was 13. The eyes from grown men, especially in sports environments pushed me back into a defensive space that I’ve only recently unraveled. Being “pretty” in a way your standard size friends couldn’t understand and empathize with. Standing up for yourselves in the moment when you receive micro-aggressions, building awareness and being such an amazing role models 🤩🙌🌟🌟 This content is so powerful
I relate. I remember getting glances from men because of curves. It's important that we have people that tell us it's happened to them too and asking us to fight back.
These two women are so gorgeous♥️ come through with the beauty and the brains. They have more to offer than just their beauty, which I love, cuz a lot of models -especially skinnier models tend to be shallow and have no depth to them. These two have an essence of enduring struggles and overcoming them and are here today talking about things that matter. I’m all for it
Sara Kristy I’m a naturally skinny girl.... I’m not trying to bash girls that look like me, but the fact is, plus sized models tend to have a lot more depth because of the extra level of rejection that they have faced. It’s humbled them and given them a wider outlook on things
I love this conversation! “I want the same clothes!” That’s what we all want! And I’m glad you’re representing what most women can relate to when it comes to fashion-both of you!
Every time I have a bad feeling about myself or my body I just watch Paloma talk and it feels like the empathy and insight switch in my brain turns on again
just discovered this channel. Ashley, thanks so much for these podcasts - i'm devouring every episode. I'm really enjoying the real people and getting to know more about them and their struggles.
What an empowering interview. Independently of being or not a “plus size”, I think it’s important for all people to know that we all have insecurities and that it’s okay. We all can do hard things and overcome the mental barriers that keep us from feeling good with who we are.
Ashley your videos are amazing. The conversations you lead and the guests you choose are so informative, fun and soothing to watch. These videos always chill me out and inspire me during my day. BIG love
I really want to model, I’m really genuinely considering applying to IMG. I’ve always wanted to, but I never felt represented. You two genuinely inspire me so much. It’s pushing me and motivating me to give it all a try. You Two are so articúlate and intelligent beauties. Such beautiful souls.
Love how Ashley said on her Kim Kardashian interview that she wasn't even thinking about having kids and now she's pregnant! Life is crazy God bless you and your budding family!
I really hope this interview and other interviews of similar experiences will make the proper changes it needs for the fashion community and the model community. Very disheartening to hear that is how people of any size, colour, culture are treated. Thank you Ashley for shining a light on where it matters most ❤️
This is all such great advice and important information for everyone in any industry or part of life. Stand up for yourself and those around you! Have no fear ♥️
I just wanna say I was really blessed by this interview especially be Paloma . A lot of the insecurities and issues she pointed out I faced and some still facing now and it really made me feel not alone and included, I love you so much Paloma and Ashley❤. You guys are blessings in plus size models life’s
I truly love Paloma and for what she stands for. I wish I had that wisdom and smarts at her age! She will definitely go far! You do you Paloma and Ashley! ;)
I am really happy that we have this type of conversation. I always have been big girl not only by nature but in hormonal side of the spectrum. Most people can't understand of the struggle what people like me have every day. I really want if this conversation continues with to second part with fashion tips and advice 🤗😁🤪 Both of them are amazing
as someone who conciders herself a BEAUTIFULL pluz size women, i loved listening to this, and not only that, but relating and noticing that it happens to everyone. and i love what you guys do to the industry and what you represent
whenever I feel down, I come back to this exact video. I've followed Paloma since 2013/2014 because I too was heavily into skate culture. I am not even joking, Paloma changed the course of my life, I am currently 19 years old and I honestly think I've have come so far in my self love journey because of her! Today, my peers alway tell me that I inspire them to try new things, dress how they want, and be unapologetic because thats how I carry myself and I couldn't thank Paloma more for being one of the people to guide me this way! A true blueprint!!!!!!!!!!!!
I relate to her story. I’m ethnically ambiguous, grew up hippie, and experienced identity issues as well. I was an overweight kid and when I lost weight high school, I reached my lowest point. I did it for me but no one around me liked it and felt inferior to it. It was dumb and those people are no longer in my life. So when it came to modeling I did it out of my own self love. A self-expression. I started modeling randomly one day when someone needed a model for their portfolio. I’ve been modeling ever since then and am now considering applying to some major agencies. That being said, I am freaked to do it lmao.
Yasss Paloma and thank you Ashley, wonderful interview and great success stories too, so proud of you both and what you are doing for the fashion industry 🤗
WOW This is just amazing !!! I am so happy that video is there for all the young girls and teenagers and any women who need a boost in their life, they can watch and listen to all the single words in that feeling good video!! What an inspirational Woman!! We should move on from the women from the past and talk more and women like you. I wish the teenager that I was could have watched this but anyway the woman that I am today really love it !!! Thanks
Two beautiful women representing 99.9 person of the women in this world. Thank you Ashley, in my head you both are my daughters. Smart, powerful, caring, gorgeous, but most importantly, not compromising who you are. ROCK ON LADIES, ROCK ON!!!
Where can we find the zine Paloma talks about? She mentions producing photographs and writing along with her friend in regard to the process of breast reduction, etc? Is there somewhere we can read it? Thanks so much!
WELL DONE! So great content and discussions in these shows, and some nice and fun that is nice also. I am an accomplished professional and before soloist and in scene I can do whatever I feel right and transferring this into those personal aspects that where like a others business thing and not just a personal one. You show and teach and inspire how to get to a better, more evolved and cherishing and free place and this is so beautiful. GREAT GREAT dear Ashley Graham and Paloma Elsesser, and we love being a pretty big deal. Cheers to all of us and thank for this!

I’m so happy Paloma is finally getting recognized!
We love Paloma!!!
"What I didn't get wasn't for me", great words to live by.
her speaking about not being comfortable in her body when she was young bc she already had the curves of a grown woman...god that was so relatable.

The strength this girl had to combat such mentality as an 11 year old girl is so empowering!!!
This was amazing
That was so refreshing to watch.
Never heard of her but I like her!!
wow these ladies look alike
I feel like it's a worldwide phenomenon for the 90's and the 2000's that super expensive jeans were in fashion in middle school.
Her voice
You are such a great interviewer. Also love paloma.
Watching this interview felt like they were biological sisters!!!!
And both bi-racial. I do not think Ashley is white, she doesn't look white she looks mixed.
Absolutely love you bot, thank you for this.
Glad this video was on my recommended!! I've been following Paloma for a minute she's SO FUCKING COOL
