- Join me on my last one of three days fishing on the world famous river Spey at Tulchan. Could this be the day I finally make contact with a springer...
Big thanks to Jim at www.fishpal.com/Scotland/Tay/... and @CornishChrisTheFish for the invite this year.
I am using my amazing rod from www.resilurecustomfishingrods... paired with a loop Q series reel and a 53 foot Mackenzie Spey line. I was fishing an extra fast sink tip all day with a variety of flies to explore different depths and colour combinations.
Unlucky! Conditions looked perfect too!
Yeh conditions were ideal maybe a slight drop in the water might have helped more. Though I had the 2nd one hooked that day as it gave a big pull but alas no. Didn't manage to get the 2nd take on film unfortunately.
Again a awesome video, better luck next time 👍👊
Thank you. I'm getting closer.
Brilliant vid again. Sorry I couldn't make it. Looks a great place to fish.
Thank you. It was a brilliant three days lovely water to fish.
Nice film 😊
Thank you.
What a stunning day that was Toby. Nice video too, it makes things a bit easier & enjoyable filming on a dry day. All you anglers searching for a springer deserve a medal, I can feel it in my waters you’re going to get one 😆👍
Thank you. Was a beauty of a day helped get rid of the cold I had at the time. I'm getting closer. I'll be back to the Spey again very shortly. Hoping to get a say on the Findhorn before that though.
Nice updaated visuals with the text and sounds feels better. What an amazing weather you guys got! Any pulls on any of the flies with the new materials?
Wasn't with the new materials it was one I tied for the back end was very orange with an orange fox wing. The water had a bit of a tinge to it so I put on a brighter fly to give it a go. The weather for the last day was amazing was a joy to fish in.
Looks amazing 👏 hope u catch ur needle next time.
Thank you. Was a lovely place to fish. I'm keeping trying. Be worth it when I do.
I wanna see some BBQ action!
I had all intentions of filming it then I got too hungry and demolished pheasant, beef, venison and lamb. If I go next year I'll be sure to film it.
