I wonder how close it would be with both running their 12Ah batteries. Of course, the Hercules 12Ah only costs $130, compared to Milwaukee's at $250. At that point, you might as well get the Hercules impact driver for $100 and _two_ 12Ah batteries for $260. That's only $360. The Milwaukee is $150, so with just _one_ 12Ah battery, that's already $400. The Hercules is the better deal, no matter how you slice it.
With lag bolts, another channel proved that drill/drivers are much more efficient and faster for that. I’d like to see the drill driver from Milwaukee and Hercules do the same test with the lags. Then it’ll be settled.
Milwaukee isn't the dominant brand it once was, even though some certain channels continue to try and put them on top in pretty much every category and tool, make a person think about their getting kickbacks, I'm so glad there's people like yourself doing fair unbiased challenges thank you
All milwaukee had on top was an impact driver that beat others by 0.3 and fried itself...lol. when the Hercules started beating the Milwaukee other videos started magically appearing with reversed results lol
The Hercules is the same exact tool as the Milwaukee gen 3 internally. Craftsmen did the same exact thing with the CMCF 1/2" copying Dewalts dcf899 1/2" impact wrench.
Except *Craftsman and Dewalt are both SBD brands, so it is the same company releasing 2 versions of a very similar tool. So "copying" is a term I'd use more for the Hercules, if true.
@@ccbowers that's correct but the Hercules and Milwaukee are both built in Shanghai/Hong Kong in China at the same plants with more or less the same internals. I'm trying to find the patent on the Hercules but no luck yet. Even though Harbor Freight isn't owned by TTI they're both Farmed out to the same company who makes 95% of major power tools aside from Hilti, Fein and Makita who have their own private operations all within in the industrial park in Shanghai but based in Hong Kong. Makita does import all of their own parts and components from Japan to China for assembling to keep costs down. Kind of like how Hikoki Japan imports its components to the US for the Metabo HPT brand without the same profit. This is how Milwaukee cranks out a new tool every week it seems because Techtronic TTI has a manufacturing scale and culture in china that just isn't possible in the US so every part of Milwaukee, Ryobi and many many more are made directly in China this way. In layman's terms if a power tool doesn't own themselves they aren't building there own parts/components so you'll see many copies or clones.
@@mannyfresh8504 Ah, no this tool was designed by Micheal Matteo and this isn't the first time that Harbor Freight LLC has ignored international patent infringement through the Hercules brand. If you look you'll see that the Hercules HC91k1 is exactly the same as Dewalt's DCD780CZ in the past. The earth quake xt was also a direct clone of the Milwaukee Fuel 2863 1/2" impact wrench made in the same exact facility by the same exact people, with the same internals and same battery cells just being sold under different names at different price points. The patents on these tools are held by a man in Taiwan. Like I said before TTI/ Milwaukee don't OEM anything themselves. The only tool companies who do that still are Hilti, Makita, Fein and maybe festool but I'm not 100% sure about Festool.

If harbor freight still sells the no questions asked/one replacement warranty like they do on other items that would be much better than it being sent off.
For anyone reading this, i own a hercules 1/2 ultra torque and 1/2 compact impact. The little one can remove just about anything on a vehicle. I admit I'm a milwaukee fuel fan boy. I have over 20 of there fuel tools and not one of them has failed me ever ! None of them have ever over heated , stopped or battery falling out or anything like that. I see all these stories about there tools failing but I personally don't know anyone that has had a bit if a problem with there fuel tools. I mean I know it happens with all brands, i just haven't seen it. I use my tools 8 to 10 hours a day everyday, not one problem. I really do like that Hercules is stepping up and completely understand the market they are in. It makes all these other manufacturers step up there game. Milwaukee offer well over a 100 or 2 different tools on there platform, I be staying right were I'm at, but I will buy a couple Hercules tools for the nasty jobs occasionally.
Video starts with the 21700 battery on hercules, switches back to regular, then shows it again at the end. Obviously the tests seemed to use the regular but 🤷🏻♂️
The edit brought that 4Ah battery into the picture because I was getting ready for the DeWALT XR Comparison video at the same time. Changed the battery back to the 5Ah when I caught it before I did the actual test.
I agree. Something fishy forsure 😂 its not like you film multiple videos out of order at the same time, ie using one tool brand, like milwaukee vs dewalt, then switch to milwaukee and makita then go back to milwaukee and dewalt. You film the video all at once with the same tools then move onto the next, dont see how he would even have to switch up the batteries in the first place as hes comparing 1/4 impacts only. Not the drill, impact, saw, etc where it might take moving batteries around
Please make durability reviews. More torque doesn’t necessarily mean a better impact driver. I’ve found that the more torque an impact has, it typically has a shorter the life span. As someone who uses impact drivers daily and for most of the work I do, I’ve been through quite a lot of them over the years. Some have lasted a month and some 9 months. It would be interesting to see content that could show each company’s durability.
But why would you? The Hercules batteries are crazy cheap. I'm seriously considering expanding into the Hercules line and if I do, I'm not gonna bother buying anything smaller than their 8Ah batteries.
These tests mean nothing to me. Commercial/industrial electrician here. Well over 10k hours in the trade. I’ve had the same set of Fuels for 6 years and they haven’t missed a beat. Dropped them off lifts, 8-12’ ladders, worked in the rain. Used them in -15 - -25 degree weather. Used them in 115 degree weather. same batteries ,zero malfunctions, same power, durability and longevity. From what I’ve seen in the field, smart men choose Milwaukee, cheap men choose otherwise. This is not an invite for a debate. Just my opinion from my experience. Say what u want. Buy what you want. I know what works for me every single time regardless of the situation or weather conditions.
Honestly think Hercules is going to take over, it’s gotta tie with craftsman, kobalt, or ryobi, I know ryobi is hit or miss, but still, if they have consistent quality they’ll easily beat ryobi. Especially if they expand their tool options
In all honesty harbor freight tools are good enough for DIY people especially with the warranty but when you rely on them for a living and when you’re up in a bucket or on a roof or just anywhere inconvenient you need something you can rely on a little more.
I’ve been running the hammer drill the impact and using the 7 inch circular saw for about 3 weeks installing doors and windows on jobs about 20 windows and 7 doors and they are holding up nicely dropped the impact a few times not a problem
This is cool for the knowledge to buy something cheaper which you’re helping there sales drastically probably but they will get greedy and mark it up like all other brands
Wow impressed by Hercules way to go!! I wonder if the HO battery would have made a difference on the M18, but wow I didn’t think it would have a chance
Not a hercules only kind of person, as I have milwaukee, makita a dewalt as well, but even my brushed hercules stuff lasts okay, I have the 2.5 gallon wet dry and have beat the heck out of it, as it is my go to vaccum. And yes, I am a professional contractor. So I would suspect it would last fine, and the warranty is on par with milwaukees so I suspect it would last at least as long as the warranty. Edit: that being said, I'm pleasantly surprised as well, I clicked on this video expecting the milwaukee to put another tool in its place.
Ask the manager at your store.. many stores already have them, just not supposed to sell until a certain date I think. But sometimes if you ask nicely..
It looks like the lag for the Hercules went in a little skewed but even so that is a mighty fine drill considering Milwaukee is the benchmark it's basically the F22 of tools

No they are not
I also just started buying Hercules rather than Ego or Milwaukee or Dewalt. Mainly because of AVAILABILITY in store plus the Price Power and Durability and reputation reviews and can't beat their Harbor Freight warranty either.
So just bought the compact blower and 1/2 gallon compact vacuum as a Truck driver these fit in my luggage when traveling. No more needing to buy tools again or leaving behind etc.
What’s not mentioned is the Hercules is 20V vs 18V Milwaukee. I reckon that Milwaukee battery will go further + Milwaukee warranty and durability. Hercules definitely doesn’t seem like a bad choice though.
nice, but power is not the most important feature of impact drivers, that is why makita is the champ imho
@DJLEO cringe L take. Also liking your own comment, pathetic
I used to install overhead doors using Makita impacts that were like 15 years old and they did great
I'm a milwaukee guy. I absolutely love it when companies are in heated competition. Only good things can happen. But Milwaukee should be ashamed lol.
These comments are nothing but Milwaukee guys arguing with guys that cant afford slightly above average cost tools and its hilarious.
Sounds like you're thinking goes right along with a name you post on here.
Which Milwaukee guys? The ones who get their tools stolen off their trucks all the time, or the DIY homeowners who pay too much for tools they don't need, so they can pretend like they actually work for a living?
Being able to afford something and making smart choices are 2 very different things.
@@TheCharleseyeI’m the second guy you listed glad to know I can build anything I want at the house. POWAAAA
@@RealPatrickBateman1 I did remodel for 14 years before gearing down to Handyman work. You don't need Milwaukee to build anything you want at your house. You only need Milwaukee or Dewalt if you want to build it at thousands of houses. Anyone who isn't in the trades is overpaying for the sake of a name.
I already have an old Porter Cable set that never let this diy down . But not many retailers still carry it . And less battery options. So starting to get some ryobi tools. Got a ryobi impact wrench mid strength and it’s phenomenal. Got a used ryobi circular saw and that didn’t work it gave up the ghost. But the herc looks good. In breakaway torque saw this other video yah did 500 ft lbs . Even broke the adapter. Very impressive. But already bought into PC and ryobi. Hey got a phenomenal deal on pc batteries and brushless driver with small charger $59 .
If all you need is a one impact and a drill go with Hercules. If you need all the fixins go with a line like Milwaukee.
Hercules could be those tools you give to your son or wife so they can have a tool to work with whenever you’re not around
Red army loses to Harbor freight 🤣🤣, I love it.
Yeah, until now, Harbor Freight sold absolute garbage. 🤣🙃
This product might just be an exception to that rule.
@@MrCaribe65 it wouldn't matter to me! Flex, Kobalt, Milwaukee, Ridgid, Makita XDT-16 & XDT-19, Metabo HPT triple hammer, and the new Dewalt's dcf845 XR along with this new Hercules 20V brushless impact driver are all Made in Chynnaaaa! 🇨🇳 so they're all Garbage! Trash! 🤣🤣🤣
@Little Cedar
Everything, is made in China, bud. 😉
Both come from the same factory
@@xtiantab nope! You're wrong. Milwaukee is TTI corporation same as Ryobi and Ridgid they're all made in the same factory in Chynnaaaa! The Harbor Freight tools Hercules and Bauer brand yes they are made in the same Factory 🏭 that makes crap tools for harbor freight and still made in the same country, made in Chynnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
herculese rn has a sale going on, get the battary and charger for 106$ and you can get that or a selection of other tools.
I asked to replace my drill (still worked fine the chuck just made and awful sound when tightening or loosening it) without question found the purchase on my account with em and warrantied a new one. Didnt even ask what was wrong with it.
Whoa, this is good news for Hercules… hot damn
Definitely this test is great, hopefully if my local HF has in stock I’ll get the Hercules today, I have the Milwaukee one which I purchased with the hammer drill combo but I will return to HD
They’ll be available in-store and online early 2/23
What about durability, which one can take a beating and keep going?
Modern tool reviews have become torture tests. These tests have forced manufacturers to constantly improve their tools. This is like the muscle car era of the 1960's--no amount of power is enough.
I'm shocked this is the first time Milwaukee has tied or lost and I haven't seen a bunch of Milwaukee guys saying it was rigged. When flex came out dominating they had every excuse in the book
Well! I've seen Milwaukee lost many many times! 🤣 So seeing Milwaukee losing is not new to me. I love it when Milwaukee is losing! 🤣 Who would have thought that Milwaukee has been the king for many many years decades and decades in the throne and now Milwaukee is being dethroned
@@littlecedar3425 I wasn't saying that this is the first time Milwaukee has lost I was saying this is the first time I haven't seen Milwaukee fans accusing the video creator of cheating when Milwaukee loses. When flex came out and was beating Milwaukee they were saying every excuse in the book

Hey, are the boards level? Doesn't help with the screws bring level otherwise! :) I'd pick Milwaukee anyway. It's a very nice impact driver in every way
Wonder how close it would be if you used the 4ah extreme battery since it's 21700 cells vs that 5ah with 18650 cells.
Used the impact on my 2500 silverado wheels and calipers
Wooow zipped rusted stuff off like butter
I wonder which one will last the longest ?? Just a thought
I love the Hercules. Upgraded my Ryobi to Hercules slowly and after a great warranty experience at HF I’m all in.
Same exact tool as the gen 3 internally…. Did you help with the manufacturing??
@@clarkfos3447 🤐 well ok then. My bad. 😅
Still will buy milwaukee, it's just a solid build and proven to withstand hardship.
@DJLEO
They all have it.
5 year warranty on the hercules, not bad for a $70 tool.
@@MrCaribe65 Hercules does not have battery slop😂 in fact it’s the complete opposite, they’re hard asf to plug into a battery slot and the tool itself. Plug in a 20v 4.0-12.0 amp hour Hercules battery into a charger and tell me it has slop.
@DJLEO and 3 1/2 months at milwaukee before its returned fixed...(m12 multi tool).
@@chrisjones6002 not bad if you're taking your chances without buy the extended warrany. I read the PDF terms and conditions on that 5 year. It gets sent off to somewhere. Not automatically replaced on the spot. I wouldn't be surprised to hear horror stories of 6 months turnaround times. If harbor freight still sells the no questions asked/one replacement warranty like they do on other items that would be much better than it being sent off.
Cool ... Unfortunately Hercules doesn't have any cool tools just a couple basics but it great deal if the pockets are empty
Wild stuff. The freight has come up seriously as of recent.
For anyone reading this, i own a hercules 1/2 ultra torque and 1/2 compact impact. The little one can remove just about anything on a vehicle.
And the ultratorque comes in handy for insanely stubborn bolts, nuts, etc.
Seriously, you wouldn't believe its price to power ratio you cant beat it.
Anyone starting out there, i do highly recommend these tools with the 5ah battery. Also, the batteries and super fast charger are amazing! Has not let me down for the past 2 years whatsoever and the batterys have stupidly long charge life
My only complaint! Is the herculess vibration can be over whelming to some, but please give them a try
@@arielmateojesusdelacruz5186 thanks for the review, would you say they're shop/job site rated. In your opinion
That works but in reality im throwing that new m18 forge battery on and it will out perform with similar weight plus that little difference isn't worth switching platforms
I just bought the Hercules and so far I love it
i use Hercules. an i.do commercial hvac. An they guys laughed at first. but know they all are impressed.
Hercules are definitely quality. and that warranty.
I'm sorry but I've got both and they have about the same power. I like the Hercules because the angled head, the lights are brighter and the batteries are a lot better. The Milwaukee batteries are more plastic compared to the Hercules extended performance
Thank you for the comparison Steve. Which one do you like better and prefer using?
I want to see all of there new tool 1handed recip.
Right angle drill.
Angle grinder.
Saws.
They have stepped up and delivered in the batteries & brushless motors & 5 year warranty.
High output were it at?
I’ll do those in upcoming videos. Right now, just making them as equal as possible.
Was the second one and impact wrench?
Makitta vs. Hercules next?
Hercules has the best 1/4 impact and 1/2 drills on the market currently. You can find adapters to run them with other batteries too.
But why would you? The Hercules batteries are crazy cheap. I'm seriously considering expanding into the Hercules line and if I do, I'm not gonna bother buying anything smaller than their 8Ah batteries.
@@TheCharleseye I have a ton of yellow batteries. Most folks looking at these have other batteries already
Which one will still work just like brand new after a year or 2
In all honesty harbor freight tools are good enough for DIY people especially with the warranty but when you rely on them for a living and when you’re up in a bucket or on a roof or just anywhere inconvenient you need something you can rely on a little more.
Use mine every day no problem
If you're worried about it, just buy 2 and still have change left over.
Hercules kit that comes with batt and charger comes with a free battery right now for $97!!
Yea, if all i needed was an impact, maybe. But what about the other 150+ tools in the M18 line-up?
Get that forge battery. Massive difference. It's like a whole different tool. Idk why they include those dinosaur 5ah.
That “it’s pretty obvious” didn’t sound too confident, my friend.
Are you a tradesman or entertainer? Looking forward to seeing the “after 6 months of hard use” side by side.
I bet the performance batteries for both liens would make a difference. They should run both with their respective 12Ah batteries.
Glad I went with flex, enjoying that lifetime warranty. Liking what HF is doing these days regardless.
I’m literally shocked it did that good , my question would be how long it would last in professional settings
I think it would do just fine. HF has a 5 yr warranty on those and in-store replacement
I never see long term reviews on the batteries. 20v for how long, really. Batteries are where the real money is spent.
Maybe one day the new Hercules will hit the stores before we all die of old age lol
Ask the manager at your store.. many stores already have them, just not supposed to sell until a certain date I think. But sometimes if you ask nicely..
@@zachbaker9310 yeah I saw them today actually…. I just can’t buy one yet lol
If you already own Milwaukee tools stick with it because all the batteries are compatible
It looks like the lag for the Hercules went in a little skewed but even so that is a mighty fine drill considering Milwaukee is the benchmark it's basically the F22 of tools
Parkside Performance Impact driver with 8ah 20v battery...Even Arnold agrees 😎😀
Also 5 year warranty...no questions ask. 70€ for tool with 226nm torque and 114€ for two 8ah smart batteries with bluetooth and a double 4,5A charger. There is also a 12A smart charger for 39,99€. On all the Parkside Performance tools 5 year warranty and on the batteries 3 year warranty.
Hercules went up on price used to be 50 bucks or cheaper they realized how much of a gem it was
Test the Ingersoll Rand 1/4 impact..can't find any good videos on it.
Put in a high output battery in the Milwaukee and it will be faster.
Bro is that a rebranded makita...mines look just like it
I’m a big Milwaukee guy, but tbh for the price Hercules is a better value, especially for the price. I would go Hercules if I didn’t have so much invested in Milwaukee already.
If your wife had to hear why u overpay for Milwaukee u better hide the vid. Don’t talk about the vid if anywhere close to any smart devices as the tech will recommend it to your wife
That is an old out of date battery. I use an 8ah high output battery for my gen 4 (same gun)...... for the record im just getting into Milwaukee i have a 1/2" high torque and use the same battery for both.
I’d say Hercules won that, chuck a 6ah Ho on the Milwaukee n if hercules offers a high performance battery do the same. I personally use nothing but the ho 3ah on my gear so good to see.
I bought a 2 pack of those 3.0ah HO batteries. Those are phenomenal batteries. Sure surprised the heck out of me both in powering the tool and in runtime. I suspect those 3.0s are made a little better than the rest of their battery lineup.
Is that the compact Hercules?
you cant see it . if you do some home work you will find out there are the exact same tool and built made by TTI the Hercules was contracted by TTI and the paid a petty penny for this but not to worry later this year Milwaukee is putting out there Fuel MAX impact
