Sites are set for new middle school, new CTE center

Ector County ISD celebrated a major milestone with the purchase of land for a new middle school and a Career & Technical Education (CTE) high school. Signs announcing the future home of these schools went up, marking a step forward in the $424 million bond project approved by voters in November 2023. The middle school, the first outside of Loop 338, will be built on 42 acres on S. Tripp Avenue and serve around 1,000 students. The CTE high school, located on donated land in the industrial park on E. Murphy Street, will accommodate 400 students and offer additional CTE classes to 2,000 more. Groundbreaking for both schools is set for January 2025.
