That Tom's Hardware video, a classic at this point. I've read somewhere that the test wasn't really fair for the two AMD systems. Can't remember why though.
@@benjib2691 There were at least three reasons: 1. The second AMD chip (but not the first one) has an on-die temperature sensor. It _should_ have been able to shut down on its own, but I think back in those days that signal went through the motherboard on the AMD side and so it may have been possible to disable it. I don't think the CPU had any method to enforce it on its own until the Athlon 64. 2. Most, if not all, socket A boards had socket temperature sensors. These can't react fast enough to save you if the heatsink falls off, but in a more realistic scenario involving a failed fan, it should shut down before damage occurs if it's configured properly. 3. The temperature readings are complete garbage - on the Intel CPUs they were trying to measure the temperature of a shiny surface using an IR thermometer, which doesn't work properly (it acts as a mirror) and ends up more or less measuring the temperature of whatever's behind it (ceiling, thermometer, whatever). The AMD ones had thermal paste on them, which made them not as shiny and readable with that thermometer, although still probably not very accurately.
One of my all time classic Amiga tunes - I remember playing the cassette of the Team 7 Works over and over and listening to my walkman - when this was re-released on the Amiga Works album, it was like falling in love again with all those tunes from my younger years!
This music was so awesome I remember putting my amiga 500 through an amp just to crank up the bass when on the loading screen part.My friends were blown away to think this was just a soundtrack to a game.
THE Afrotechmods? What the F....I'm having a... double fanboy moment here! I'm 43, but even now I still love these tunes that remind me of my early teenage Amiga-playing days. I was a big fan of Team 17 stuff in general, but Allister's music was fantastic. It's still good NOW. Project X and Alien Breed were two particular faves of mine. :) I was in the pub only the other week and we were talking Amiga games 'back in the day'. When Project X was mentioned everybody said "Man, the music was great on that!" I think it even formed the basis for us getting into a lot of later 'house' type stuff etc... :) But then I see this comment from Afrotechmods?? The same guy whose electronic videos I love. :) Among other things I teach car and motorcycle mechanics in colleges, and when I have to teach a lot of introductory electronics and electrical theory I frequently direct my learners to Afrotechmods' superb vids. (Few can get the content to conciseness ratio this spot-on, let alone do informative AND funny at the same time) :) The internet facilitates some interesting 'connections' at times, Six degrees of Kevin Bacon and all that, but even so. Seeing a guy whose videos I've really enjoyed (and benefited from) as a middle aged teacher commenting on something so iconic from my youth - it's like my 14 year old self and my 43 year old self saying hi to each other. :) Good luck in all your future endeavours lads :)
Remember this game firstly because of this amazing sound track on my Amiga, but still enjoyed the game too, quite difficult I remember lol What a classic track though 😍
Shit i first listened this track like 20 years ago as a child and as inconscient as you could be at this age , i knew i was listening at some masterpiece .
Oh Man! You made my all time favorite Amiga song! I can't believe you have your own channel :o i hope you upload more stuff like this! Greetings from Mexico~
CPU SURVIVES
If you're listening to this with your CPU heatsink still attached then you're doing it wrong.

Oh yes, this, Body Blows, Superfrog, Mortal Kombat and many others... Mr Brimble's music is unforgettable.
First heard this on a video by Tom’s Hardware where they test Intel and AMD CPUs without their heat dissipators.
CPU SURVIVES

2Ghz pentium 4 S423 vs 1.4Ghz Athlon S462..which one will survive?

Alistair Brimble was the OG of game soundtracks. A true legend and Project X was one of his best compositions. Thank you Alistair.
Let a symphony orchestra play 🤔 Couse so great part🤩

The one CPU video and the link stash keygen.
Time flies :)
What a game, insanely beautiful and difficult. And this soundtrack is worthy of a techno soundtrack or metal cover.
Simply... Genius! Excellent tune, even more if you think that took a little over a few hundred kilobytes
Allister Brimble modern theme music for incoming game sequel!

Thank you Master Allister. One of my favorite ost ❤️
Why does this music sound more like 2001 than the early 90s?
Maybe from that Tom’s Hardware video, where they test Intel and AMD CPUs if they can withstand operating without their CPU cooler.
@@Claro1993 yeah lol that's where I first heard this
Che mito
