Me, who has an identical twin sister, realizing that we could have been criminal masterminds and getting away with it just by blaming the other...

My great aunt lived with Violet Kray, their mum, just after she got married. Their house, pretty much the whole street actually, never got touched by burglars.
If you were alright in their book, they were lovely blokes. And they really loved their mum.
Crazy times back then. My Nan once opened the door at night once thinking it was my grandad banging to get in after leaving his keys at the pub. Instead it was a bloke with an axe in his head. As was custom in those times, she shut the door and turned the radio up. I've always wondered if that handiwork was courtesy of the Krays.
Cockney history is fascinating, I miss my elders from the Krays era, they all had such amazing character and were so bloody tough.
BTW first video I've seen of yours, loving the depth of detail 👍

You got sponsored by Madame Tussauds??? That's huge!!! I went there when I was in London and it was so fun, the Chamber of Macabre sounds great, I wish it had been there when I visited.

Perfect storytelling as always. These criminal brothers were very complicated.

Fascinating family, and they defo looked after their own, single parents short on cash their kids never went without with the boys around, many mums befriended Violet to be taken care of by the boys x it was a totally different era x back then criminals had a moral code they lived by x and people can never be good or bad it’s all gray x
    Thanks for your video x

Hmm, you're almost congratulating them. You're DEFINITELY excusing their behaviour and romanticising them... "The boys"? - how about "the disgusting, murderous scum"? And before you invoke the "criminals were different back then" rubbish, I'll tell ypu what that "moral code" consists of - looking out for their own selves and what they want. End of.
Rremember all the hundreds of ordinary people these animals stood on and hurt. Not to mention the rivals they tortured. That's okay though right according to you because the victim was a criminal. What a wonderful moral code..
Most people including serial killers love their families what the hell does that have to do with it? 😳
Also the "charitable gestures"... helping single mothers... it means nothing. Like all psychopathic people since time began, these people give to others not to help others but to buy their allegiance and more importantly to make themselves look good in the public eye, to cover their hideous deeds somewhat so they don't get literally lynched foe bringing awful situations into ordinary people's communities. Just look at all horrendous people in Hollywood, in government etc, eg Epste1n - he is among the worst and he gave away MILLIONS to charities and other "good causes". Just another example of scumbag people needing to buy their friends and ingratiate themselves with the wider public.
I find your badly disguised and obvious positive feeling about the Krays - who were bullies, power hungry psychopathic killers who's love for their mother (gosh where have I read about men who are so close to their mothers before... 🤔) and obvious public charity can never excuse what they did to many, many other people who lived in fear because of the mentally deranged self aggrandisement of these two "men".
      Gross 🤮

One of my BF's is a south east Londener, and whilst they don't agree with crime, he says the Krays were loved because of all the good they did in the community....they killed yes, but criminals. They protected community members as well, not racketeering wise, but say you were an elderly pensioner (female) or a single mum, they would help out and no one would touch vulernable people or they would have to answer to the Krays. My mate said he remembered as a kid, they drove into their street, going to see someone, and this was a poor street, they threw money out to the kids, so they could grab and go and buy sweets, something they never got....it's hard to reconcile such "sweet' acts with the violence and crime. I guess they were who they were in part to where and when they grew up as well.

Actually I don't think the world splits into good and bad anymore and surly murdering and killing is an act of evil but sth that should be mentioned is that they killed criminals not innocent people. And people (normal people) usually hate criminals and murderers so I guess people being positive about them and loving them is because they must've done more good than bad at least to people eyes who knew them idk but I loved the movie " legend " which Tom hardy plays the brothers I highly recommend

hey lovely, always appreciate your historical case explanations! i had something in my mind,,, my mum who grew up in Yorkshire in the 50s and 60s and said that young pretty women would get in taxi cabs, and then be kidnapped and sent to join harems in arabic countries, im not sure if that was urban legend or actual fact, i wonder if you ever came across such incidents in your research
