    Gotta say, wow! Haibike really stepping up their game with this one. Hopefully their other bikes will follow this similar design language moving forward.

    • @SilentKnightErik
      @SilentKnightErik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why people dislike Haibike design so much? I love them and I think they look so different than most MTB, so aggressive and robust. This one looks more like a traditional MTB which is still nice but would be great to have both categories, they can coexist I think.

    • @bimmerfan729
      @bimmerfan729 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SilentKnightErik they’re definitely unique, and that’s cool. My gripe with them is the extremely high top tubes that don’t allow much for droppers. I rode an all mtn awhile back and the size large only had a 125mm dropper. That needs improvement imo

    Sorry for the overuse of the word ‘super!’ I get over excited sometimes 😂🎉 eBikes have come a long way! So exciting to see these develop - 18KG, decent power to weight, 430Wh battery! Fazua system is quite interesting, I'll have way more on this system soon, as well as proper ride review vid! Cheers! Rob

    Never was a fan of Haibike's square lines but this toned down design was really nice. Seeing the size of the 430wh battery I am sure we'll get smaller 625-750wh batteries soon as well for full power bikes.

      From what I’m reading on electric vehicles we’re a few years off any radical changes, but I’m hoping that by 2025 the equivalent 700 watt/h battery in my Levo will have trimmed down from 3.8kgs to 2kgs, from what I’m reading that should be possible.

    Nice to see someone in the industry 'rewarding' you for your efforts, you produce good quality vids and cover/explain well. Bike wise, the ability to put bigger batteries into lighter bikes is definitely of interest, and I demo'd an Orbea Rise over a couple of days a week or so ago.

  • @spuddleydiddley

    Talk about upping the game. That sure is a pretty bike and I love the concept of inverting the motor into the lower seat tube to allow for easier removable battery - something the SL range of eMTB’s lack.

    Very interesting bike and a nice departure from the heavy Haibikes we are used to (my Fullseven Nine is a pig 😅). It will be really interesting to watch a comparison between Orbea Rise, Levo SL, Trek EXe and the Haibike ; how the bikes feel, motors and range, specially for sub 8k£ models.

      If it had an OLED display I'd agree!

    • @LayerZeroDesign
      @LayerZeroDesign 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RobRidesEMTB it would be nice, for sure, but if you fall more towards the minimalist/utilitarian side I think the TQ fills that design language perfectly and perfectly aligns with the whole fuel exe concept. I just bought a rail 9.8 xt for my fiance and a patron 900 tuned for myself and then I started looking into the fuel exe and I've been second guessing myself because it seems to have no real downsides. However now, I'm fine with my purchases. I can see the industry is clearly going toward more light and mid assist options, and that development will also likely start blurring the lines for full power bikes as well... So it's an exciting time in emtb for sure. I can't wait to see where we are at in a few more years and what will be that final push to upgrade again. Cheers from Pennsylvania!

    It would be ideal to have more than 5 leds or bars for battery indication on a bike without a battery percentage. If your last bar is 20% it is difficult to know when exactly the bike will run out of battery and you will not get full use of the battery. This would be even more important on bikes with a smaller battery. All you need is more leds or bars or more colours on the led display.

    I always thought of Haibike has having gaudy designs that I would never consider. This one actually looks nice! I have an Orbea Rise and it would be interesting to see how this compares? I presume it is quieter (as the EP8rs rattle is super annoying) but how does that ratchet work with rear hubs? @@RobRidesEMTB haha! It’s seems to be the price we pay for ascetics. Like most people, I want my bike to look good. Although as someone who still rides my MTB I’m not really interested in lightweight ebikes, I want full power to charge up and down hills. The first e bike I tried was the original fazua I thought it was really nice on a commuter bike. I was surprised how quiet it was. Having since been next to people on shimano ep8 having too listen to the annoying whirr they make I appreciate the silence of the fazua system.
    Is the 60 as quiet ?

      Yea, very quiet. Slight high pitch noise but not annoying. No rattle that I’ve noticed.

    Super light at 40 LBS? May be a bit lighter than the rest for now but at that weight its still heavy. E-Mountain biking, while the innovation is good it still has a long way to go.

      Bikes take a lot of time to test, setup, find appropriate terrain, film edit and release! Pole needs some perfect location for filming.
