Yea, this misconception comes from Russian itself. It was a lot of marketing in TV that Yudashkin will design uniform so ones they adopted something else, MOD did not correct press. Moreover, the 2010 uniform had pretty cheap materials which caused the pandemic in military units in winter, in this situation MOD decided to stay quite even more. That is why both Russians and Western collectors know all pre-VKPO suits as Yudashkin.
but i found in some site there is also some picture of yudashkin unifroms without the lower front shirt pocket do you know whats that version called and i also found another one with only 2 chest pocket but it is also called the 2008 yudashkin variant and i also found a few site that have picture of a yudashkin jacket that is similar in the video but with 2 sleeve pocket and no velcro do you know is this just replicas or a different variant and modification of the 2008 field jacket?
What you saw in the video is Yudashkin uniform, there was only 2 versions of this, in 2008 but with very minor differences such as fabric. Both variants had the same 4 pockets. There was also 2 variants BTK group developed in 2009 based on Yudashkin uniform, one of them didn’t had lower pockets.
Very cool and informative video! I always thought the Yudashkin stuff looked great, even if it wasn't very high quality. Do you have a full size picture of that "Early EMR" pattern you showed?
I said I saw it on the footage a year ago when I initially prepared for this video. I couldn’t find it anymore because that time I watched around 40 footages from 1993 to 1994, and can’t remember which was it. If you have 5-7 hours I can check the TH-cam history and try to send you the links, in one video you will see 6b3 and RD54 backpack.
cool, i did not know the EMR pattern is around for this long now!
Yep.
Me too
Awesome video!
Thank you
He got a pretty raw deal certainly. It is quite frustrating that many collectors now have a tendency to describe anything pre VKBO as Yudashkin.

@@RedIvanMilitaryEng okay thanks but do your best i dont wont to annoy you im sorry if i will waste your time
2008 really? Very interesting! Was this experimental 2008 pattern made in a winter afghanka configuration as well?
Not for the MOD
There were some commercial winter Afghankas in EMR pattern, made in 2005 cut version.
Btw, you can get winter Afghanka uniforms in EMR pattern from Belarus, though their camo is slightly different :)
@@reloaded2471 Preciate it!
The desert uniform looks like a copy of the German Afrika Corp uniform.
