      @@rhythmray7429 Iron sights are more preferable to me than the C79A2, the Eye relief is far to close. I had to be so close to it to actually see through the optic that the recoil would make the top of the sight hit the brim of my Helmet.

    I’m off to basic training this Saturday. I’m going in as a combat engineer and was wondering if they go through something like this? I’ve been told different things. I would imagine they’d have to because it’s still the combat arms

    • @brady6584

      after basic you do BMQ-Land. I was artillery and had to take it, its like an infantry course for non infantrymen thats half as long.

      @@brady6584 Wait...So basically everyone does a DP1 no matter what your in (army)? I was wondering about this too cause I'm hoping to get into Combat Engineer Reserves soon but wasn't sure if I would go on DP1 ever. It looks like a ton of fun! Can't fricking wait to get through the application process and start training. I'd like to join the 31 Combat Engineer Regiment 48 Squadron, same one a friend went to!

      @@MBxBrick Im not completely sure but my understanding is everyone in combat arms does BMQ, infantry does their DP1, and everyone else does BMQ Land and then their own DP1 after. Artillery DP1 is only 3 weeks but I heard that combat engineers DP1 goes for many months at least in reg force. You'll find out soon enough good luck

      @@brady6584 Thanks! The only info I have to go off of is what my friend did, I'm guessing my training will be similar, weekends for training and weekdays for school, although he only did training then fazed out so he was only in for about a year. It sounded pretty different from reg force BMQ from him though, especially since he was specifically doing his basic with an engineer regiment/squadron.

      Super hard to get into Special Operations, takes about two years to get to the seniority you need, pay is about 3600$-4600$ per month as Private although I'm pretty sure there's additional deployment and hazard pay which you'll get as Infantry, anyone can join CANSOFCOM but doing certain trades such as Infantry and gaining additional qualifications will definetly help

    What is the best and worst places to do dp1 at in your opinion? Or like what are the pros and cons of each place?

    • @nicoooo2986
      @nicoooo2986 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cannot speak on behalf of Quebec but wainwright will make you grow thick skin and adopt a true warrior mentality. Meaford on the other hand is less intense and its very by the pam so you have a much better learning environment. But honestly dp1 sucks no matter where you are just get through it, its in battalion when you start really progressing as an infanteer
