Fantastic stuff. One of the best discussions I've seen on panentheism, and an excellent dig into how it's a bit of a chimeric notion that may describe a set of linguistic sympathies more than a distinct metaphysical position.

Great discussion. But why is Ryan one of my bandmates in my past life?

For help on the existential question you pondered toward the end, and with the idea of "zombies" and "psychophysical laws", etc, I highly recommend Peter Hacker's work (e.g. "Human Nature: The Categorial Framework").

I've never quite understood the "nuance" of panentheism, as I've always thought it seems to either reduce to pantheism or to a nature-independent god concept that's already covered by another view. Glad I'm not alone on this!

What about process philosophy and Christian thought by Deleon Brown? The book process philosophy by Evert Cousins? Concepts of Deity H.P.Owen the book by Daniel Day Williams what present day theologians are thinking.

Consciousness is the fundamental level. You can't get under it.

    Fun discussion!
Not even a mention of Spinoza, interestingly. While I see some call him a pantheist, and others call him a panentheist, I’ve always thought of his as the latter. I don’t know enough models of God to say where his model overlaps with others, his description of God as having an infinite number of attributes, and our universe only being made up of two of those attributes (Thought and Extension)-which is where you’d get the “in God”-just two slices of an infinitely flavored pie. This would, I think make sense with Gunk as well. Pie all the way down.
Someone can correct me, but that’s the way I’ve thought about it.

The Christian God commanded us to look and learn from His creation - so then wouldn't that make building the JWST to capture images of His creation a moral thing to do? Thank you. [Job12: 7-10, Job 38: 4-39, Psalm 19:1-2, Isaiah 40: 25-26, Romans 1:12]

THE WHOLE CREATION IS THE BODY OF GOD..
CREATION IS NOT LIMITED TO OUR CREATION ONLY.. THERE IS CREATION TAKING PLACE AT ONE CORNER, AND DISSOLUTION N DEATH TAKING PLACE AT OTHER CORNER
