Very sad about the loss for Shock, but at the same time, I am happy for the Gladiators finally succeeding.
I’m not even a glads or shock fan but I was jumping out of my chair from how hype this series was

@@Grumpers I'm just happy that there's teams consistently challenging and/or beating them (Dallas, Outlaws (my soul for this team though), Glads, Reign finally). It'll make it so much better if the Shock rises above them and wins again, or even makes it close (compared to the last 2 years especially).
It’s rough bc I think Nero is def the 2nd coming of rascal. It’s weird bc In my opinion I feel that Ans is better on almost every hitscan so it leaves a a small question mark on glister. He a great flex player but when he plays they end up playing the characters ans is just better at….
@@Lvltippy4 yeah, Glister is like Taiyo where he barely has a role (something the Shock used to be amazing at figuring out for their players). He's genuinely a good player, but he hasn't really built synergy with his team. If Ans hadn't returned, as bad as that sounds, Glister would've more consistently been there for HS, Tracer and Sombra.
@@Lvltippy4 statistically glister has higher crit accuracy on ashe and creethsn ans, so the only hero and has over glister is pretty much widow.
Id LOVE to see Dallas-Shock only to see custa mald at Spark9e's genji
God so many doubts about this Glads roster from the community, so cool to see them make it to Hawaii
Mannnn, as a shock fan this one hurt, but I have to admit it was a fantastic series
I feel bad for Shock not making it to any tournaments, but I’m very proud of how they did in this match; and I also am proud of the Gladiators getting that huge win
They’re in the playing for the regular season so they still have a chance for a trophy this season

Something that I find odd about me as a player is that my genji (when I play him) great in the neutral, but I suck at using blade.
I’m doing something wrong.
I love smurf and super both personally and gameplay wise, but i hate to not see the clear decision making when subbing them in and out.
Sure there is big brain thinking behind that, to complex to begin to understand, but from the outside its just painful to watch both of them play every main tank over the season and be permanently swapped in and out.
That wouldnt be that big of a problem if they at least were one of the more decisive teams when it comes to deciding what comp in the „tournament ban meta“ they want to play.
Its no coincidence that they look better when they finally decide what main support they want to field (it just took a luicio ban lol) and train/synergize over a longer period of time.
Last year the super smurf shenanigans were fine because their team was all set and crusty just rotated 3 dps and twilight came in for double flex or brig stuff in the end.
But when ur trying to build a new team and still want to handle 4 dps and do this 3 support backline rotation u need to decide on what to play faster, to get the whole team practice in.
My guess for why Glister comes in has to do with Ans. Glister comes in on the 3rd map and he stays in till the match is over. My guess is Ans doesn't want to burnout by playing every game and Shock would rather have some Ans than no Ans and it means he'll play two maps and that's it. No evidence for this but it tracks imo, since Glister always comes in for the 3rf map.
I actually hate the glister scapegoating. Ans didn’t even play amazing on round 1 or 2. Also glister’s mcree is amazing in its own right and he’s more flexible. Just blaming the new player because of nostalgia biases.
Shock fans have been doing that all year long. It's just pathetic.

Is it just me or did glads look like an overall SLOPPIER team than shock in this game? Shock just made more big game losing mistakes, but generally outside of the BIG mistakes they looked like a more solid team

But outside of BOTH teams major mistakes, if you were to compare the teams head to head shock generally PERFORMED better. There’s a MAJOR difference between making an uncharacteristic mistake, and being worse. And in the head to head shock seemed like the stronger team. AND IM A GLADS FAN
1:41:20 was the big group of mistakes that cost them the series. Quite a bit of luck after that too.

I think this game comes down to Glister getting caught between the frontline and backline on Havana, and that push off the point on Oasis gardens to try and get value out of a premature rally from Viol2t. If neither happen, I think Shock win. Every player on both teams had a great game overall though.

shock win havana point b and city center map 5 if they play nero torb instead of nero tracer. no idea why they went away from torb when it was working so well.
not blaming nero. he played fine on tracer. i would say kevster played a little better on tracer so thats a net gain for glads.
if nero is on torb it forces kevster off of tracer and made him play genji and we saw how that went on hanamura.
confusing decision to not see torb again after winning that map handily. feel like shock got baited in a tracer duel.

Still not a fan of shocks subs, now feels like ans and glister sub in and out for no reason, same thing with smurf and super, used to be the same thing between the supports when violet and twilight would swap roles for no reason it seemed, last one did change this series, still seems confusing
there's a clear reason for smurf/super subs, but ans/glister is kinda ehhh
@@Scripzure but they both play Orisa ball the majority of the time, it seems like they only play smurf for the most part on control, but they don’t play Winston on control, I get they play reinheart sometimes with super so that part I get, but they almost never play monkey so why play smurf?
Glister is more flexible than ans who is more pure hitscan. Glister can play hanzo much better which is probably why they subbed him in.
It seems for smurf that if they need to ay Winston then they can but if they don't then super will be in.
@@ZOMBIE2LIFE Super is a better Orisa/Rein but he sucks at Winston. Smurf is an excellent Winston, and an okay Orisa/Rein

I am so disappointed we didn't get another Sadiators performance. I like Shock and all but I LIVE on Gladiator and Philly fan suffering, and any opportunity for them to succeed is a loss in my book.
