Given my family background and my father's assets, I was taught by my mother to be independent and not rely on inheriting his property. As a polygamist, my father's passing led to conflicts among his other wives and family members over his assets. However, my siblings and I had already established our own paths, avoiding entanglement in those disputes, which led to death of a few. This experience has instilled in me a crucial lesson: I cannot envision marrying someone I don't trust with my assets. I will only commit to someone whose belief, ideology and life philosophy align with mine, ensuring that I can confidently rely on them to manage my assets and responsibilities in my absence. In conclusion I can confidently make my partner my next of kin because there's no way I will settle down with him if I can't trust him with my assets.
