- I'm back with another highly requested video! As most of you know, I apply jaw tape to help achieve a more Anime-esque face shape! Its no secret, and alot of people have been asking me how to apply it and make it stay all day, so here you are!

⚠️But I wanted to add another warning we don't usually consider: make sure you're not allergic to the tape as well! I'm allergic to the "plastic" kind of tape Majka is using and I got two big scars on my face last year because of it. So if you think you may be allergic try using the softer ones, now I'm using the beige micropore (not sure if that's how it's called in English but it's the regular beige one) and it doesn't hurts me or anything. 😊

Honestly being allergic to the tape itself is quite rare since it's supposed to be hypoallergenic and all that. I just thought it might be good to mention that's also possible cus many ppl never used this kind of tape. I'm glad it was helpful! 💜
yep i had to spend a few extra dollars to get the one for sensitive skin bc the regular tape would give me a rash

Yeah, if you were cosplaying Froppy it would look right.
You are probably putting the tape too low/close to your mouth area. You need to stick to your cheek bone area and BACK rather than FORWARD.

Me and my friends frequently cosplay and we use tape. Since we all need it we'll just buy a lot and share. So when we go to the store and buy like twenty rolls the cashier always looks at us like we're crazy

oranges I buy mine on amazon. Just look up medical tape(don’t use kt tape though)

A tip for people with oily skin, I have extremely oily skin and I discovered that sweat blocker wipes that prevents you from sweating for about a week actually blocks your skin from producing oil as well! They are safe and made to be used on your face, just be careful to not get it in the eyes. Don't ever use sweat blocking wipes if you have dry skin because they really dries your skin out! People with oily and/or sweaty skin can handle it, but not people with dry skin.
Also this product is something I use all the time because it helps my makeup stay on alm day long without needing to powder it every hour or so haha
thanks so much for this tutorial!! I have a super chubby face even though I'm pretty small, and feel really self conscious about it. This is probs the best tutorial I've seen, never thought about using liquid latex to hold the tape in place.
I use pros aide to help my tape stay in place. It’s really helpful for conventions, and lasts through sweat and oil. Liquid latex doesn’t really last through sweat, and pros aide can be removed with a q-tip and any kind of oil🤗
I will def use that from now on...also, do you think I can blend it to be unoticeable? And what tape do you suggest?
belle taunde I use my wig sideburns to hide my tape...you can really use any medical tape, and cut it to be thin if it’s too thick~~I hope that answered your question?

Sorry I'm late but do you have to apply the product then put the face tape on so it stays? Or the tape first then the product?
This is so helpful! I've got major round face which is fine when I'm cosplaying girls - but is kind of a pain in the butt when it comes to cosplaying guys. I'm definitely going to try this at some point and hopefully then I will achieve the dream jawline!!

the latex is an amazing idea! i never tried it because i thought it wouldn't stick on my oily skin. gonna try this thanks!
For spirit gum, they have special removers (idk the name) to take it off. Without using those, you can harm yourself
Or end up with sticky residue on your skin for a few days.

How long is too long? I mean you did mention conventions but like I usually go to a convention in cosplay for 4-8 hours, that's a little different than 2 for example

There is also a fluid meant to make tapes stick better (and protect the beneath skin!) called “skin prep” and it comes in a bottle or little packets with a single fluid-soaked wipe. You put it on the skin before you put stickies on. To protect, let it dry all the way to papery smoothness (if you have tape sensitivity it’s a game changer). If you need adhesive help, let it dry halfway and it’ll get tacky-then stick your tape/bandage/whatever and it sticks so much better. You can also do two layers of it if you want both.
It has a brother product called uni-solve that takes off sticky things, but half the time baby oil works pretty well (and smells better!)

MasterofBeast it’s definitely not something we have to do but it’s something drag queens have done for awhile so cosplayers have started doing it as well!!!

I use lash glue and kt tape. It works really well and u can wet it so it comes off super easy if ur worried about ripping ur skin

You could try scab skin. I dont know if it has latex but its great
A latex alternative is the glue-all liquid glue!! As long as its non-toxic, youre safe.
(I have used it as an alternative for latex when i ran out :) )

Medical tape should be widely accessible, but If for some reason you can’t get any, there really isn’t a whole lot that’s skin safe and actively works. Some people have used bandaids & string but often used with spirit gum or other skin adhesives.

What is medical tape? Can you just use regular tape that you use to wrap presents with, it that safe?
No, the chemicals in regular tape are not face safe and can cause even more damage than medical tape. Medical tape is just that. Tape found in the first aid section of stores/pharmacies. Nexcare is a common brand
