I live in NYC and have never listened to arabic anything but this is breathtaking.
As an Egyptian, I genuinely hope she wins. Her voice is reminiscent of Nagat al Saghiyra & Asmahan.
Sad that Egypt can't produce singers like this anymore.
she has a great voice and she is not deserve for the deslikes comment just imagine western woman sings arabic is talented whereas arabic woman sing english is normal and easy one..so she is very very talented even she is not an arab at least you appreciate her that she loves arabic songs ..do you??NICE and AMAZING VOICE

As an arab, I hope she wins the contest. Whole heartedly. Think of what would this accomplish on the long term; the arabs presented as a race of multi cultural and valuable backgrounds that have far more to offer then the ridiculous stereotypes generated by mass media.
This would also be a smack across the face, for every Arab who has looked up to Western culture in exchange for forsaking the values his own culture has. I can go on and on about this, but I fear might my comments will clutter up this section as I do.
