Vietnamese Batman gets the vote!😎 Erba Pura is a perfume bomb and yes, this would overload anyone's nose (I always recommend to my staff to spray gently with this fragrance; 2 sprays max!) I own Alexandria II and love this one. I don’t know Ceylon but did experience this years ago and have to say that it’s a lot more ‘oudy’ than A2….so if you love Ceylon you’re going to adore A2♥️💫

Recently discovered rice milk drink, bloody amazing & quite refreshing whilst out camping during our recent road trip to Exmouth for the eclipse. Kevin's video looks like Robin trying on Batman's costume when Batman was out of the Batcave. I reckon he's too upbeat to be Batman, even with the husky voice. 🤣🤣
Enjoying maté and thinking: “sorry Kev, Batman is an age thing”. I think Torino 21 is better than 22, but in a collection with Renaissance (a banger), Torino 22 might be a better choice for having a more different scent profile. However, both have the same problem imo: they last, but the composition falls apart after two, two-and-half hours in. Lastly, I have tested Alexandria III more than II, so I’m biased there 😉🧉

Love your picks. I have Tony Iommi, Uden Overdose, Renaissance, and Starlight and love them all. Not enough people rave about Starlight and I prefer UO to Uden OG because the OG is too much like a Chanel Allure. I don't have Alexandria II because I gave my wife Alexandria III, which I love on her.
I recommend alexandria orientale. It is more wearable than alexandria ii bc of its lack of the lavender(?)/medicinal note lingering in the background of alexii. Orientale is office safe. You have to be careful w alexii a bit as it is a bit polarizing.
I love that oudy lavender note with the rosewood. Reminds me of high quality furniture polish, or possibly printer toner cartridge... but in a good way :)

[pepsi / soda] [Marcelo] My list, ignoring Naxos: Torino21 - Alexandria II - [Erba Pura / read below] - 40 Knots - Astaral My thoughts: To me, it slightly depends on what you have in your collection and how experienced your nose is. I have made my list that is fitting for men aged 25-40 who have experience with more sophisticated fragrance profiles. If a complete beginner is getting into Xerjoff, I'd probably say the first one should be Torino21 as a safe-wear summer scent. If Naxos isn't a given, I think Alexandria II is a very viable formal-wear scent as well as signature scent. 3rd, in terms of expected scent, I suspect is Erba Pura. But it can be a love or hate. The fruity-musky-tropical profile has a considerable amount of synthetic tonalities which does not align with everyone's tastes. 40 Knots is your untypical stand-out aquatic profile which can work as a signature for somebody not looking to overdo it. Astaral is definitely one that nobody else here (not Marcelo nor the comments) will recommend as it is a brand-new release that came out ~1.5 months ago, so most people haven't even smelled it. Astaral is the rose-oud profile that features very little oud, but the value here is insane as this 100ml for less than €300 is the same product you get from Roja and Fragrance du Bois for €700. Imo, simpler rose-ouds are worthwhile considerations for beginner collections as they don't suffer as much for the lack of wearability. A lot of people enjoy Naxos for the date-night prospects, I don't think it's that great for that occasion either - I like my gourmands more. I think Iommi actually eats up Naxos as a date-night scent. Oh, and the funny thing is that with Empiryan now out, I think there's an argument to be made that Naxos isn't even the best tobacco-fragrance from Xerjoff anymore. I'm definitely out there with that opinion, since the Kemi line is not rookie-certified - almost all of their scents are pretty challenging. My main conclusion: I'm not sure I'd buy Naxos anymore as a 5-star vet, but for a rookie-to-intermediate nose, I cannot justify forcing you away from it in favor of more sophisticated profiles.
Hi Marcelo, Enjoyed this one despite watching it at work. I was drinking orange juice. As far as the dynamic duo, I'm afraid you get my vote for Batman, partly because its your channel and partly because Robin is also referred to as the boy wonder, so that would make him the younger one. As far as Xerjoff, I still only have Alexandria 11 but I'll probably get Decas for the couple of weeks of summer we get here in the UK. Still sampling to see what else I could go through a bottle of.

I would recommend trying Xerjoff’s Nero 70, an exclusive fragrance from Campomarzio70, an italian boutique. Its citruses, neroli, amber and vanilla. Airy, creamy, delicious. Very easy to like and easy to wear, all year round, perfectly unisex.

If you allow, I`ll add 10 more, I am as much as you convinced to these exceptional artworks of fragraces; without ranking : 40Knots, Luxor, Commandante, Don, Mephisto ( we know, that Casamorati is a Xerjoff brand), Nio ( perfect summer-scent), of course Zeffiro, Erba pura, Birdie ( Join the club collection, breathes the greenceepers golfclub vibes) and More than words ( A deeply romantic voyage for the courious beginners into Niche perfums, I think). Maybe you agree,as I always do to your dedicatet fragrance reviews, my friend.
I need to explore Xerjoff more. Naxos is my No. 1 favorite to buy this fall/winter and 40 Knots is my favorite to buy for this summer. I also have decants of Homme, Golden Dallah and Cruz del Sur II. Cruz del Sur II is too feminine for my taste but it smells good, Homme is also good but I feel like I’m too young for that one (i can see 40+ year old man wearing this) and Golden Dallah is very interesting, it’s a coffee scent with sweet and warm spices and I also get cannabis (not dirty or ashy) but the cannabis doesn’t take over. Some say it has a similar drydown to Margiela’s Replica Jazz Club but I can’t smell the similarities honestly.
Starlight is pure winter/cool weather magic...really impressive fragrance. The watch today is the Breitling Superocean Heritage (blue face).....really nice watch, big recommendation🧡 Great to hear from you Bryan

Great video and good collection for a newbie. Naxos is a tricky one...once you have it the "Pandora box" is open and one just can't stop sniffing and buying new fragrances (trust me, been there - done that). I really like Don from Join the club collection - its a really classy and sophisticated fragrance. I am even ready to choose it over Naxos, its that good for me. Toni Iommy...just got mine today...OMG I am in love!!! I was thinking it can't be that good as everybody says, its just the hype express...no, its actually better.
Naxos is the gateway niche perfume... =P I'm surprised Ivory Route doesn't get more attention, but then I'm also happy I feel like that can be my "secret" unique fragrance. Also, haven't heard much of the More Than Words hype recently.

Hi Marcelo, great picks as usual. I guess I can only go by the ones I have stuck with over the years - Nio, Uden, Renaissance, Naxos, Tony Iommi and Torino 21 (I have 3 backup bottles of that beauty!). All the others (bar a couple of scrubbers - Italica amongst them) are great too. There are some I haven’t tried and I’m sure I’ll get round to them one day. The France trip sounds wonderful! I’ve been to Grasse myself, and it’s a treasure trove waiting to be plundered - I’m sure it’ll be an educational blast!

I own 20 fragrances at the moment, closest to niche I own would be Tom Ford ombré leather and Noir extreme and absolutely love both of these scents.. How good is Alexandria Oriental….I really want to buy this one; but I need to compare to II and see if it has a clear difference (my brain says yes, my wallet says ‘be cool’) Ok, you’ve opened up Pandora’s box with that comment😉 So based on what you have, here’s the recommendation to bring a balance to your collection: - Tony Iommi (pure winner) - Golden Dallah (this is magic over the cooler months) - 40 Knots (unique/unusual/divine) - Renaissance (Naxos needs its sibling; and it’s summer magic) Once you get a chance to test these, I would love to know what resonated with you. YEAH.... I'm not sure about your experience with Naxos, but my bottle is a newer one, and I certainly dont have performance issues. Mine has performed in high heat (90*) & in intense cold (10*). Are you certain it's not skin chemistry?
@@Jmillz4life It is not skin chemistry. I tried Naxos in November and the bottle in the store was with darker colour juice. I fell in love and after 2 weeks I wore the same shirt which was washed and the perfume radiated from the shirt. I went back into the store two weeks ago (in May) and tried Naxos with a brighter juice inside and it was not the same perfume. Also, the tobacco is gone in this one. I did not have any issue with any other perfume by now, so I am certain that it is reformulated and weakened. Thank you both for the discussion.
Alexandria II is absolutely stunning. I'm female and wear it without a problem anywhere in fall and winter 💙 so far, i had literally 0 people disliking this one, which is kinda rare for me since there is almost always someone from my family/friends hating a perfume i wear xp
HELL YES to Iommi. There's nothing like it. Got a backup recently so that I can spray guilt free. Starlight recently joined my collection it's delicious, cozy and very uplifting - a gourmand dream. I love cardamom and recommend Golden Green as well for cardamom lovers - this is the most harmonious green-spicy-gourmand. Very unique but very wearable. It's a tie between T21 and Renaissance - T21 is a bit more sporty to me with the lemon verbena, but both radiate summer elegance. Recent love is Ivory Route, which to me is the mature, unsweet version of my old flame Tobacco Vanille. Earthy woody spicy vanilla. Mysterious, quiet confidence kind of scent. Naxos I agree is an instant classic. Projects hours and hours into the dry down too. and Marcelo - you got me...I finally pulled the trigger on T22 - it was a blind buy, but managed to get a good price for it. Excited to try it!

The sweet-oriental warmth on one hand and the fresh herbaceous, almost medicinal on the other dance so well together and make the composition as a whole very versatile year round...plus it has great longevity and protection. It was definitely a happy blind buy for me as well!

Good line up! I'm a Xerjoff fanboy and have fifteen or so (and have sampled a lot more). It's difficult to make a call about essentials from the house, because there are likely to be specific ones which ring a person's bell. The unmissables for me are Alexandria II and Pikovaya Dama, but they ain't for everyone. I'd say Naxos, Renaissance, and Iommi Monkey Special are all excellent and pretty safe bets though. I'm voting for nobody for Batman. He's just a rich kid using his privilege to get away with vigilante violence then coming over all drama-queenish about his dark moral dilemma. I wouldn't do either of you the disservice of comparison to that spolied, self-pitying, and morally bankrupt character!

Erba Pura is a perfume bomb and yes, this would overload anyone's nose (I always recommend to my staff to spray gently with this fragrance; 2 sprays max!)

I have and love Naxous , however my wife doesn’t like it because it gives here a headache she’s sensitive to smell. What would you recommend for me to try from Xerjoff? Or should I try spraying it under my shirt rather then behind my ear?

Enjoying maté and thinking: “sorry Kev, Batman is an age thing”. I think Torino 21 is better than 22, but in a collection with Renaissance (a banger), Torino 22 might be a better choice for having a more different scent profile. However, both have the same problem imo: they last, but the composition falls apart after two, two-and-half hours in. Lastly, I have tested Alexandria III more than II, so I’m biased there 😉🧉

Love your picks. I have Tony Iommi, Uden Overdose, Renaissance, and Starlight and love them all. Not enough people rave about Starlight and I prefer UO to Uden OG because the OG is too much like a Chanel Allure. I don't have Alexandria II because I gave my wife Alexandria III, which I love on her.

I recommend alexandria orientale. It is more wearable than alexandria ii bc of its lack of the lavender(?)/medicinal note lingering in the background of alexii. Orientale is office safe. You have to be careful w alexii a bit as it is a bit polarizing.
I love that oudy lavender note with the rosewood. Reminds me of high quality furniture polish, or possibly printer toner cartridge... but in a good way :)

[pepsi / soda] [Marcelo] My list, ignoring Naxos: Torino21 - Alexandria II - [Erba Pura / read below] - 40 Knots - Astaral
My thoughts: To me, it slightly depends on what you have in your collection and how experienced your nose is. I have made my list that is fitting for men aged 25-40 who have experience with more sophisticated fragrance profiles.
If a complete beginner is getting into Xerjoff, I'd probably say the first one should be Torino21 as a safe-wear summer scent. If Naxos isn't a given, I think Alexandria II is a very viable formal-wear scent as well as signature scent. 3rd, in terms of expected scent, I suspect is Erba Pura. But it can be a love or hate. The fruity-musky-tropical profile has a considerable amount of synthetic tonalities which does not align with everyone's tastes. 40 Knots is your untypical stand-out aquatic profile which can work as a signature for somebody not looking to overdo it. Astaral is definitely one that nobody else here (not Marcelo nor the comments) will recommend as it is a brand-new release that came out ~1.5 months ago, so most people haven't even smelled it. Astaral is the rose-oud profile that features very little oud, but the value here is insane as this 100ml for less than €300 is the same product you get from Roja and Fragrance du Bois for €700. Imo, simpler rose-ouds are worthwhile considerations for beginner collections as they don't suffer as much for the lack of wearability.
A lot of people enjoy Naxos for the date-night prospects, I don't think it's that great for that occasion either - I like my gourmands more. I think Iommi actually eats up Naxos as a date-night scent. Oh, and the funny thing is that with Empiryan now out, I think there's an argument to be made that Naxos isn't even the best tobacco-fragrance from Xerjoff anymore. I'm definitely out there with that opinion, since the Kemi line is not rookie-certified - almost all of their scents are pretty challenging.
My main conclusion: I'm not sure I'd buy Naxos anymore as a 5-star vet, but for a rookie-to-intermediate nose, I cannot justify forcing you away from it in favor of more sophisticated profiles.

As far as the dynamic duo, I'm afraid you get my vote for Batman, partly because its your channel and partly because Robin is also referred to as the boy wonder, so that would make him the younger one. As far as Xerjoff, I still only have Alexandria 11 but I'll probably get Decas for the couple of weeks of summer we get here in the UK. Still sampling to see what else I could go through a bottle of.

I would recommend trying Xerjoff’s Nero 70, an exclusive fragrance from Campomarzio70, an italian boutique. Its citruses, neroli, amber and vanilla. Airy, creamy, delicious. Very easy to like and easy to wear, all year round, perfectly unisex.

If you allow, I`ll add 10 more, I am as much as you convinced to these exceptional artworks of fragraces; without ranking : 40Knots, Luxor, Commandante, Don, Mephisto ( we know, that Casamorati is a Xerjoff brand), Nio ( perfect summer-scent), of course Zeffiro, Erba pura, Birdie ( Join the club collection, breathes the greenceepers golfclub vibes) and More than words ( A deeply romantic voyage for the courious beginners into Niche perfums, I think). Maybe you agree,as I always do to your dedicatet fragrance reviews, my friend.
I need to explore Xerjoff more. Naxos is my No. 1 favorite to buy this fall/winter and 40 Knots is my favorite to buy for this summer. I also have decants of Homme, Golden Dallah and Cruz del Sur II.
Cruz del Sur II is too feminine for my taste but it smells good, Homme is also good but I feel like I’m too young for that one (i can see 40+ year old man wearing this) and Golden Dallah is very interesting, it’s a coffee scent with sweet and warm spices and I also get cannabis (not dirty or ashy) but the cannabis doesn’t take over. Some say it has a similar drydown to Margiela’s Replica Jazz Club but I can’t smell the similarities honestly.

Hi Marcelo, great picks as usual. I guess I can only go by the ones I have stuck with over the years - Nio, Uden, Renaissance, Naxos, Tony Iommi and Torino 21 (I have 3 backup bottles of that beauty!). All the others (bar a couple of scrubbers - Italica amongst them) are great too. There are some I haven’t tried and I’m sure I’ll get round to them one day.
The France trip sounds wonderful! I’ve been to Grasse myself, and it’s a treasure trove waiting to be plundered - I’m sure it’ll be an educational blast!

Because of the price points, my recommendation is never to blind buy; test first! If you're an Aussie, then I would recommend test out Torino 22....this would be my pick for you.

Naxos is reformulated. 2 hours projection, then it is a skin scent. 250 euros for that? No.
I have heard that there's been a reformulation, but haven't tested this as yet....will be sad if it's not the Naxos that we know and love
YEAH.... I'm not sure about your experience with Naxos, but my bottle is a newer one, and I certainly dont have performance issues. Mine has performed in high heat (90*) & in intense cold (10*).

@@Jmillz4life It is not skin chemistry. I tried Naxos in November and the bottle in the store was with darker colour juice. I fell in love and after 2 weeks I wore the same shirt which was washed and the perfume radiated from the shirt. I went back into the store two weeks ago (in May) and tried Naxos with a brighter juice inside and it was not the same perfume. Also, the tobacco is gone in this one. I did not have any issue with any other perfume by now, so I am certain that it is reformulated and weakened.

HELL YES to Iommi. There's nothing like it. Got a backup recently so that I can spray guilt free.
Starlight recently joined my collection it's delicious, cozy and very uplifting - a gourmand dream. I love cardamom and recommend Golden Green as well for cardamom lovers - this is the most harmonious green-spicy-gourmand. Very unique but very wearable.
It's a tie between T21 and Renaissance - T21 is a bit more sporty to me with the lemon verbena, but both radiate summer elegance.
Recent love is Ivory Route, which to me is the mature, unsweet version of my old flame Tobacco Vanille. Earthy woody spicy vanilla. Mysterious, quiet confidence kind of scent.
Naxos I agree is an instant classic. Projects hours and hours into the dry down too.
and Marcelo - you got me...I finally pulled the trigger on T22 - it was a blind buy, but managed to get a good price for it. Excited to try it!

Peak summer here can get too hot and humid unfortunately, we'll see... anyway they sent me T21 by mistake so I'll have to wait a few more days before I can test it but will make sure to let you know ;)

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector :) T21 sure is magic for summer. I finally received T22 a couple of days ago, it has such a calming almost meditative quality about it. The sweet-oriental warmth on one hand and the fresh herbaceous, almost medicinal on the other dance so well together and make the composition as a whole very versatile year round...plus it has great longevity and protection. It was definitely a happy blind buy for me as well!

Marcelo, I’m really late to the party here. My top five Xerjoff picks are: Naxos, Renaissance, Nio, Uden and Mefisto in no particular order. Good line up! I'm a Xerjoff fanboy and have fifteen or so (and have sampled a lot more).
It's difficult to make a call about essentials from the house, because there are likely to be specific ones which ring a person's bell. The unmissables for me are Alexandria II and Pikovaya Dama, but they ain't for everyone. I'd say Naxos, Renaissance, and Iommi Monkey Special are all excellent and pretty safe bets though.
I'm voting for nobody for Batman. He's just a rich kid using his privilege to get away with vigilante violence then coming over all drama-queenish about his dark moral dilemma. I wouldn't do either of you the disservice of comparison to that spolied, self-pitying, and morally bankrupt character!

Yes, 40 knots is an incredible fragrance and one that I should've included in this line up…there was so many others that I put aside!
