I found many elderberry trees this year while trying to hunt for bear for the first time. I didn't see any sign. They were still hanging thick in one spot last weekend so I grabbed a couple gallons of berries to make syrup.

For real idk how he held himself back, I get it’s not the target species he was after that day but in the end of all it’s meat filling the freezer and feeding the family.
How you liking the K4 pack? I have a K3 right now and love the layout of it, but I have Issues with it slipping when packing heavy loads. I tried the stiffer lumbar pad, but it didn’t work for me. I was planning on buying a Stone Glacier 7900, but have been reading a lot of really good reviews on the K4. I woukd love to hear your opinion on it and which pack you like better.
That's a hot day to pack a bear but I'd have a hard time passing it up. I've drawn multiseason several times but just go archery and modern. What muzzleloader are you running?
Great info but down here in california bears mainly chase acorns due to their large amount of carbs. We also got elderberries but mainly bandtail pigeons feed on them. Love the videos. Keep them coming
If your hunting thicker timber and have seen does, a fawn bleep or distress call really works well to bring them in. Might even get a predator in the process! Works great on Oregon mountain mule deer!

How do you unload muzzleloader?
Point in a safe direction. Put in primer. Cock the hammer. Pull the trigger.
The muzzle loader will then be unloaded.
