I don't feel sorry for A'Rou. Like Jia said- she clawed herself up to get to where she was, and her 'promotion' isn't even real. The Emperor knows she framed Ruyi, even asked her outright like "you continue to lie to me, and you will continue to kneel as the slave you were before." She had nerve trying to beg him for 'bed service' when she's still lying to everyone's faces about who instructed the framing of Ruyi.
The only time I really liked jia she told her don't forget where you came from and how you betrayed your mistress to get there aruo is pure evil snake In the grass.
After watching this entire series I've now figured out, most of the times when they say "first" they mean now. "I will sleep first" you should go to anhua hall first" etc etc
Makes so much more sense when you replace it with "now"

But hey, powers can change people, since in the beginning of drama he seems to be a decent person, for a prince
There is another drama called story in yanxi place I think, that paints ruyi as a terrible person. It's interesting how differently she can be portrayed
In yanxi palace also shows ruyi as a kind hearted person but the other concubines made her character into a devil person... both wei and ruyi both were gud person... 🙂🙂🙂
