“This neighborhood, we kind of keep to ourselves.” That is what is wrong with this country. Where was the support for this family, particularly the mom? When I was a young mother my neighbors were frequently welcomed, offered a cup of coffee or tea, invited to put their feet in the kiddy pool while our children played together. And I was invited to do the same. Those were wonderful times and the neighbors supported each other. Now at age 75 I live in a neighborhood where people are cordial and polite, but I have never been invited into any of their homes. They are not people I would reach out to if I needed help. It is all so sad. What happened to this country? 😢
Social media and the internet...pulled everyone away from reality into a false world that is BUILD by brilliant people to keep us hooked watching videos, one after the other afrter the other. And it feeds you more of what you already believe, leading to increasing polarization.
She didn't even know these people, do you want her laying on the ground writhing with grief. Of course it's terrible but nobody is responsible for what went on in that house except the person who did it.
For one thing, Utah is Mormon country. I grew up LDS and you are encouraged to befriend your neighbors if you can help get them to join the church, but if their lives are contrary, you are taught to shun them. There were kids I wasn’t allowed to play with just because of the color of their skin. I absolutely LOVE your idea of being neighborly!
Staying to yourself is not the reason it's quiet. It's quiet because no one cares about other people. They only care about themselves. We have no 'neighborhoods" anymore.
Press release says early supposition is that the father murdered them all, except the 17 year old is alive in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. 😢
When I was in HS this happened to a family in my town, the mother and four k!dz ranging from grammar school to HS. The father wasn't home when it happened but he was cleared, however, it turned out he was heavy in debt with gambling and the police thought it was a revenge thing... 30+ years later it is still a cold case.
They lived there for 5 years and nobody knew them, now she says the peace is shattered in the neighborhood and she's trying to process it? Why? She didn't care about them before.

This is sad 😢 no one knew the family?! Tragic and horrific. Try to at least support your neighbors…even minimally. 😢💔🙏🏽
Grief is how to react n shock😮😢
If you don't know the family, you know NOTHING. Go sit down.
Heartache Spoken Here
Thats what happens when religion excludes others and passes judgement on others.
So, you're a judgement victim who hates religion. How mundane.
What r u talking about??

"Even the Websters over here said the same thing!"
Well, if The Websters say that, then it must be true. After all, it's THE Websters. 😮
As if this was the first time, " Things like this dont happen here" 🙄
