Everyone talking about Silverbolt but tbh I love how much Blackarachnia has grown as a character with and without him. In the beginning in Beast Wars I lowkey hated her because of how often she backstabbed everyone around her, and I started to like her when she joined the Maximals because she got a wider character arc. Now, after some time without Silverbolt, I like how her personality has expanded to be loyal and caring of her other teammates and how she actively makes choices on her own to benefit the group! Good for her, gotta love that development!
I did miss the original White Knight Silverbolt from Beast Wars, but I can actually understand where this Dark Knight Silverbolt is coming from. After being awakened by the organic ooze, he became aware of what he was doing as Jetstorm. Not only was he committing heinous acts that go against everything he stands for, but he enjoyed it. Feeling disgraced, he felt like nothing truly mattered anymore. It's sad that the Silverbolt we knew and loved was gone until the final episode, but I actually don't hate this change. I feel like it's well written. And I don't think people would have hated it as much if he didn't have such an ugly beast mode design (I actually think his robot mode design above the waist is pretty awesome though)
I honestly believe that they should have kept Silverbolt's original design as a Griffon. It would have made sense given that Jetstorm's scanner picked up multiple beast forms in the process, would have kept in line with a chivalrous, yet darker design, and overall would have been an awesome beast mode.
I'm terribly sorry that none of you realized how much more hurt Silverbolt faced not just once but twice was choice taken from him. Megatron made him Jetstorm. And Blackarachnia forced him back. Some might say that she saved him, but it isn't like Silverbolt asked to be saved. Like he said, he liked being Jetstorm.

In that moment, he had two entire worlds of possibility before him: return to fulfilling Jetstorm's role or return to the side of his old friends. He could have remained like Jetstorm if he really wanted, but in that moment, he knew that his heart was never in being Jetstorm. He said it himself: Megatron gave him nothing. Blackarachnia never forced him into being the old Silverbolt; she only tried to win back his heart and offered to help him regain the things he had lost. Sure, she did so passionately and insistently, but that's only because she knew Silverbolt so well and actually loved him.
It was actually a clever plot twist to have Silverbolt and Blackarachnia flip positions and have their story mirrored. It could’ve been better handled, but it does have resonance.
He's an amalgamation or fusion of several organic DNA data scanned. See and watch again the part Blackarachnia trapped him in a pool of techno-organic sludge when the makeshift DNA scanner + spark extractor Rattrap made activated
Yeah I completely agree with you. That's what made him one of my favorite characters before, and now that they took that away from him, it's just not the same.

He went from a cool Eagle-Wolf hybrid (Or as Waspinator called him, "Doggie-bot!"), to this freaky Technorganic Condor... thing that can't even aim his blasted missiles! And yes, there's a perverted joke there, but I won't resort to it. :p
you can tell silverbolts changed by his beast mode, he was a wolf crossed with a eagle, the noblest of animals, now he's not an eagle but more like a condor or some kind of bird of prey
I think it's great what they did with Silverbolt. Way better than him coming back all happy-go-lucky as if he never did the evil deeds he did as Jetstorm. It was logical and an interesting turn of events for him. He was stripped from his code of honor by Megatron and unexpectedly for him he enjoyed it. Coming back to his true self he felt guilty and bad about it. That makes so much sense. And besides, a freaking condor is just bad-ass!
I recognized Savage/Noble Megatron as soon as he said "Why won't you work?" I'll didn't like Beast Machines all that much, but it did the actors more room to show their talents.
This is one of the major things I hated about Beast Machienes: the personality flip for Silverbolt. He was a hero before...corny, but lovable. Now.... Ugh.
I always thought silverbolt acted the way he did because of what he looked like. I mean when he was a viacon he at least looked cool but now he's a eagle thing.

Megatron’s programming made him completely drop his moral code and become the sadistic murderer Jetstorm. Not only did he commit atrocities that went against everything he stood for as Silverbolt, but he enjoyed doing so. Turning your sense of morality back on after all that has consequences. It leaves you wondering who the real you is; the noble warrior or the amoral killer? And those kinds of questions change you, not always for the better.
Beast Machines was, and still is, GARBAGE!!! So is Energon, RID 2015, the Prime Wars and Netflix WFC trilogies, BotBots, Generation 2, Kiss Players, The Beast Within, The Last Knight, and Pat Lee

I will say one thing Beast Machines did a pretty decent job of: They gave Blackarachnia and Silverbolt's relationship little more depth.
I kind of liked how Silverbolt became a dark knight. It was a flip from his original white knight personality.
