    This is very informative. Can you please do a training or tutorial for beginners regarding dimensions as well? Dimensions is kinda new to us and haven’t seen any video or tutorial to support dimensions system. Thankss a lott

      As I mentioned earlier, if position is one of the labor level, then you can either manually create it or get new positions directly from the source

    Hello, I'm working in Kronos company UKG. My work responsibilities include Configuration of New Component company and banking setup for CUSTOMERS not for employees, also setting up pay codes, Taxation. I want to work more on timekeeping configuration, PTO, Accruals and everything which comes in Kronos implementation.. are these the same thing ? Or I'm doing something different? Please someone let me know...

      It depends, you can either forgive the negative balances or carry forward

    Thank you for this session of accruals. I have a question: if an employee is allowed to accrue up to 100 hours of overtime in a year, how do we do that? Do we create a paycode for overtime with pattern of "yearly from Jan 1st" and also create accruals? If so, should the limit be Earning Amount Limit or Earning Balance? Should this be considered an Earned Grant or a Fixed Grant? I am inclined to say both. I would say Earned Grant because it is based on a paycode (on overtime) that is earned. On the other hand, we can consider a grant with a limit - that an employee cannot go over. Something similar to annual leave. Or maybe we need 2 grants/ policies? One that accrues the overtime in an acrrual policy (up to 100) and one that allows spending the balance. In my example, all I need is to track the overtime up to 100 hours per year. What exceeds this number will not be paid. Can you please share your opinion? Many, many thanks!

      I agree with you on the Earned grant for this requirement. You will have to create an Earned Grant and use the paycode (could be a combined paycode) which when worked will accrue the overtime. In the main policy use the accrual code as overtime (I'd prefer to name the accrual code as overtime) and use the Earned grant created with a rate of 1 and select an Earning Balance limit with the amount as 100 (this will meet your requirement). In addition to these, if you want that the employee should be able to use/apply the accrued hours then you can give a Taking paycode which should deduct the balance. Let me know how your testing goes with this.

      Yes it still holds good, thats why I suggested Earning Balance Limit so that the hours can still be accrued.

      @@kronosguru4840 HI KG, actually the requirement is a bit different. What is needed is a flag to be generated when 100 hours of pure overtime (100 hours above scheduled hours). Starting with the 101st hour, the manager needs to be notified and he will decide if he approves that hour. I have configured the PCD without the overtime of 100 hours. I have added there only the daily overtime and the night zone. I have also made a Combined paycode (where I added the night paycode that appears in PCD and the daily overtimes). BAsed on that one I have at least tried to create an accrual bucket that will keep the hours there. But the bucket is 0 , even if the individual paycodes are generated in the timecard. I tried to add this paycode in the work rule, but it tells me I should add a combined wage. I have also tried something else, still without luck: I created a paycode of yearly overtime , created a generic notification that I added in the actions, chose "Use Employee Work Hours Definition ", from "Counts Towards Overtime" chose "Paycodes for this Rule" and chose all the Overtimes. I also tried to create a balance cascade, nothing seems to work. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? Is it everything that I'm doing wrong? I understand that there is no work rule associated, but I didn;t create another one because this treshold is a notification. The employee can still receive the same pay under the same conditions. Maybe I should add the paycode "over 150 hours yearly" in the main work rule? However, these 150 hours are pure overtime. Maybe I should add it and somehow create the Employment Terms? So sorry to keep asking, but I don't know what to try next. Thank you so much in advance!
