really impressed by you beating the courtroom mission. i remember struggling a lot on that, along with being very cconfused as to how BJ was able to do that when he's supposed to be crippled when out of the suit. I'm not a fan of dream sequences but it did make sense somewhat as BJ isn't used to/has never felt hopeless like that
I just died at 1:38:36 as I entered into the round command room. The commander that apparently had a Kampfpistole, turned out to be an asshole as he saw me through a solid metal door and shot me with that grenade launcher, instantly nullifying my 200 HP and 100 AP, murdering me and ending my run. This was only my second ever attempt and I'm pissed to hell and back about this. Fantastic guide though. I couldn't have made it this far without it.
So that is one of the many instant death traps you can encounter in your runs. If you produce the slightest sound when turning the corner, you'll get one-shotted by the Commander. The trick is to toggle crouch (very important: toggle, so you can't risk your pinky slip, it actually happened to me during a Mein Leben run and RIP BJ) before turning the corner and keeping a low profile all the way through the corridor. Anyways, don't give up! Glad my guide is giving you some good help! Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
As a German, it's pretty amazing that they've actually hired German VAs for the game. Thats pretty rare and really amazing. Theyre also pretty high quality, albeit some dont get the "Nazi accent" quite right when it has to be.
Incredibly! I recently started playing New Colossus on medium difficulty, but this is a whole new way of playing, with a much more tactical approach on an almost impossible difficulty. I'm apparently very stupid, so until now I haven't figured out that you can easily kill Supersoldaten by shooting them directly in the head or by shooting the back tank, but I've been wasting Dieselkraftwerk, or Lasergewehr, which btw annoys me a lot. I also had no idea it was possible to kill that giant robot after planting a nuke in Area 52.
Hi, thanks for stopping by! The game has a lot of "old school" elements and rarely holds your hand, so a lot of tricks come from trial and error (which, on Mein Leben, often rhymes with death). Yes, your best bet against the Supersoldaten is shooting their weak spot on the tank, or going for head shots with the Armor Piercing rounds on the Sturmgewehr. Another trick (IIRC I use this early during the Venus chapter) is stealth killing them with the suppressed Machinepistole with the Nailgun upgrade, aiming for the legs. On the highest difficulty, you only engage them when inevitable since their front guns will literally melt you in seconds even on full health and armor. The Laserkraftwerk is the most powerful weapon in your arsenal and it's essential that you get the Supercharge upgrade in Roswell or before that. You can one-shot the Zitadelle and even the Destroyer, the final boss, with a supercharged 50W headshot, and two-shot the Panzerhunds with those 50W shots. As you noticed Mein Leben difficulty require a very strategic approach since you are outgunned for most of the campaign, can't afford to die and in a lot of sections you can't afford any mistake or raising the alarm!
@@datalor3698 Unfortunately, I chose the Wyatt timeline, so I have Dieselkraftwerk available instead of Laserkraftwerk, which really seems superior. Stupid question, but how do you switch between dual wielding and single weapon? I play on Xbox and in order to turn off dual wield I have to click on the weapon selection and only then choose whether I want the weapon in the left hand or not, which takes a lot of time during the fight. P.S. What is a good strategy for fighting Zitadelle? Should I shoot him in the head or in the arms with the weapons? I know I can run away from him in Oberkommando, but I saw that you have to fight 2 of those in New Orleans. I got to that part in the Oberkommando, planted the nuke, and went all the way back to get the Lasergewher, which is hidden behind a crate, by that platform I used to climb up to the main building. I don't know if I should run away from him or try to kill him with Lasegewher.
@@markomarkovic5729 I use the X key on the keyboard to switch to akimbo when using the single weapon. I cannot help with Dieselkraftwerk strategies since I did not play the Wyatt timeline on New Colossus. I would suggest checking out this video though: th-cam.com/video/-0Yl8rkVXfs/w-d-xo.html Indeed the Laserkraftwerk is an overall superior weapon since it can one-shot or two-shot some of the most powerful enemies in the game. Zitadelle: there are a few tips you can use. 1) Skip. A few Zitadelle fights can be completely skipped. Surely this applies to the one in Manhattan, in New Orleans and also, with a bit of luck, on the Ausmerzer. If you check the video you can actually skip both Zitadelle fights, in the street and in the sewer part. 2) Standing still = certain death, so mobility is key when dueling. 3) Zitadelle has two weapons, a long-range rocket launcher in the left arm, and a short-range flamethrower in the right arm. You can aim for the left arm, destroy it and then picking it from a distance. 4) Aim for the "eye" in the center of the head, ideally with the fully-charged Laserkraftwerk. A single, well-aimed shot will result in an instant kill. Alternatively, I would suggest using the dual-wielded Sturmgewehr with the Armor Piercing upgrade, or, on a lower difficulty than Mein Leben or IADI, a heavy weapon. After planting the bomb in the Oberkommando, I would strongly suggest taking out the Zitadelle before attempting to escape from the hangar door.

I honestly think mein leben would be somewhat bearable if number one: cutscenes were skippable and number TWO, the 10 minute intro at the start was skippable! Jesus christ the game is long enough, but the run is extended by soooo long due to things that aren’t able to be skipped
Yea, I agree. It's almost 10 minutes intro plus 6 minutes on the Ausmerzer, another 6 minutes before Courthouse and the audition on Venus, that makes almost 30 minutes to be added on top of any gameplay in any Mein Leben run. It's a challenge of will and stamina even before skill...
@@datalor3698 The cutscenes were so long on this game I would hold off going to the toilet or getting a drink because I was almost upto a long unskippable cutscene and it would be a better use of time to do it then
Yea, I know the feeling. To succeed you need to practice every section in the game on IADI difficult until you know exactly what to do, how to do it, what will happen and a few B plans for the entire run

You can use a silenced pistol shot to attract unaware enemies to a certain location. The game won't hold your hand and won't explain it, that's true. The whole point for making that section work is using this technique to distract the 2nd soldier and killing him inside the control room. This way, he won't be noticed by the troops dropping from the moving platform and they won't go into "search" mode, allowing you to safely sneak onto the platform. If you don't do this or they go into aware mode for any reason, the Supersoldat will gain uber-vision and almost certainly spot you while you're trying to hijack the platform. Hope this can give you more detailed info.
Although I appreciate the achievement, I gotta say, you play the game way too cautiously for it to be entertaining to watch, at least for me. You play it almost like s stealth game, which is a viable strategy, as we can see, but just not that exciting, imo. I own the game and have completed it on the hardest difficulty. I know how the AI is so busted, the best strategy is always to stay in a corner and wait for the enemies to come one by one. So I understand why you were not running and gunning, but...I don't know, I guess, I expected something else. Once again, congrats for the achievement, I know it's not easy, but these are my two cents.
As the very average FPS gamer I am, the point of my playthrough is minimizing risk and reducing the chance of losing potentially hours of progress as much as possible. Every player can beat Mein Leben following the stealth approach most of the times. Sure with checkpoints and saves I'll be all for a Schwarzy-Commando approach.
This run is absolutely not cautious for Mein Leben. This guy, on the first level, arguably the hardest one because of your low health and inability to use both hands, wheeled down into a tiny room full of guys and killed them all. 😂 Running and gunning your way through this the entire way is impossible. Doing it cautiously is already extremely difficult due to random enemy AI.
Damn.. you should have played it no HUD as I like ( still not immersive and a bit too easy with the aim marker telling where to shoot and if there is an enemey (red) ). this game is a no hud game playable like all of the saga. I played them all like that blind run (first run)... the best is bring em on and I putting a house rule permadeath, however Mein Leben is a great idea despite I don't like the fact it unlocks after playing it once. Anyway the gmae is great game.. hard to find so well made games. I really don't like the use of hacking like Glicthes and other stuff, because I am for a hyper realistic approach in games for a thoughtful immersion. In the last mission u don't need to wait for all and kill all, after u pull them far u get the stairs and u are done... I see many using the nail gun, .. sincerely it's a bit underwhelming, for the eyes it's aching with those "Flashing" and also the bullets are just ridicolously moving... I don't like that. Another misleading thing of the game is tellin that "Magnum" is loud: if you use the suppressors I have seen some playing it with it and it doesn't really make people more aware of your shots. For that reason I did not upgraded it but I was wrong to do it... it only is louder if you have no suppressors on.
Just beat mein leben today and I wouldn’t have been able to beat it without this guide ❤
