- Instrumented ferry ride at 4x from Sausalito to San Francisco at sunset on an unusually fog-free evening for winter. Views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Bay Bridge, Yerba Beuna Island, and of course, San Francisco.

Dave Yost What speed to make a timelapse is always a judgement call -- sometimes I'm accused of going too fast and sometimes too slow. It is too bad the TH-cam player doesn't have more speed control abilities. Uploading all the variations is probably not practical. I have in the past on rare occasions uploaded multiple versions of the same video, but it seems weird to do so. I could upload a 512x version, lol! Anyway, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment, good to hear from you.
What equipment/stabilization setup did you use for this? It looks great!
Thanks for noticing, it did turn out rather well I think. It is a combination of multiple things (not listed in any order): a camera with fairly sophisticated stabilization (Sony HDR-PJ790V), a steady hand using a boat railing as a brace/mount, a large ferry that is reasonably stable, after-stabilization by Motion5, and some patient fixing up by hand during video editing. All of those combined.
