yeah and considering what I've heard from both them and hopsin in the past, I enjoyed their parts more than hopsin's.
hop didn't meet my expectations, but they far exceeded them, because I expected more from hop and less from them

They may not be on hops level but they are dancers that started making music / beats later in their career. They've done 3-4 songs with hop and have been in some of his other music videos over the last 4 maybe 5 years.

#StevieKnight .... You know sometimes it isn't that you are as good as a Rapper as someone else, it is that the subject matter of that song doesn't relate to your experience... For example when I first started Rapping I was in a Gangster Rap Group and everyone was Gang Members or Street Hustlers so It took me a Minute to be able to find something I could used to rap about that Life Style and make it seem real enough that I could give it my best effort... But my first 3 or 4 Raps were so Positive that the Leader told me straight, "Man you got to write Harder than that, Cuzz!!!" So I DID!!!

I feel some of what you're saying Stevie, I think the energy of the rap kinda died a bit down as soon as the Future Kingz came on, and this is felt MUCH STRONGER since Hopsin kinda went beastmode at the beginning, still a nice song, but kinda ended on a "meh" note (at least for me)
The chorus is amazing, Visuals are great, the project actually feeling like a project and having a theme is great. But music wise, there is something missing. I'm not an expert so take my shit with a grain of salt.
Just nothing that says wow about the past couple songs to me. The relationship song was fire. Aside from the great chorus and rhyme schemes it was introspective, a cohesive story, with triumph at the end: trying to deal with a relationship in the midst of the project's story of trying to get his son and restore a relationship is a deep perspective as well. But to me imo, it seems like there's a lack of passion or something.
Not to compare his old music to now because he are different man.. The point is in songs like “kill her” or “alone with me” or I'll mind of hopsin 8 he meant that shit.
Where as some of these recent tracks seem more technical or "rappidy rap” for lack of better words. Rapping just to rap or something.. We all know he is top tier when rapping, it's just missing something. That's just my opinion take it, leave it, use it, who cares.

@@Italia6495 I cant give you a specfic date, I just know it was definitely more than 5 years at a show in toronto canada. He has a verse in one of his songs that refrences just how lit his shows are, and I was very underwhelmed. I dont know if it was the crowd, because I wont shit on his performance, I like his music, to me, just didnt live up to the hype live.

I thought the exact same thing. Song would have been much better without the features. No need to soft coat it. There was nothing special or unique..wasn’t skillfully scripted wordplay.. nothing. Kinda felt like they just filled in to finish the song.
