Yes. That was definitely one of the stand-out parts/highlights of the choreography (and for me, THE highlight). A few reactors, like Jeff, really appreciated it. Some reactors really seemed to be out to lunch during that part, as they were usually so busy commenting about the outfit another member was wearing that the trust spin and the perfectly timed, precise interactions between Lisa and the dancer just went by without them even mentioning it. I guess it's Lisa's fault. Once again, she makes the most complex movements and dancer interactions look so easy and graceful that some people just take it for granted, as though it's the same thing as just standing in one spot and waving arms around.

Lisa's extensions of her movements are on point, that's why she nailed it, in every choreography or dance she did..such a great dancer!!😘👏

Lisa's job in the group is to act as a metronome for the other three. Instead of showing off her skills, she would rather make sure the group is performing and that they can follow along and express themselves. The abrupt stops that you point out are intentional. She's a machine.
true, you cant expect a choreographer to always to point out the body line, its not their job just only to follow the choreo thats all and Lisa does details of the moves. and these some people who wants her out...wonder what will happen then if not her esp Jisoo she has some issue of memorising steps..

Finally! I've waited for your honest review/reaction. I love how you pointed out the intro of the dancers. Also Lisa really is eye catching. Starting from the little bounce she did on the intro up to her hips swaying at the last part.

I think at around 9:35 the reason Lisa seemed so much more powerful compared to the rest in that move is because she brings her shoulder pointing out first and allows her hand to follow her shoulder, making that move seem like it took a lot of effort, making the move display her strength. That's one of the reasons she's such a powerful dancer, she just gets these nuances through body control which highlight her already perfect choreo to take it all to the next level
That’s what always gets me about Lisa her moves are so powerful but elegant and she does all that whilst maintaining brilliant and engaging facial expressions. Not to mention the immaculate body lines.

Always love your dance reaction. You're the only one that understands what it takes to do this "simple" choreo. This performance is a visual treat and it works better with camera movements but look forward to see how they will execute this song during their concert without those camera work.
Right??? "simple" performances can be the hardest because it's more about the vibe than technical skills, and even with the technical skills there's 0% room for error. Either everything is perfect or the entire performance flops. It's like Mozart, _on paper_ it's simple, but to do it well you have to be a master and practice tirelessly.

@@lshwin Plus "hard" choreo is usually more about athleticism than dance ability. Not to hate, cause it _is_ hard, just not the way kpop stans think it is, y'know? Most kpop "hard" choreos are like aerobics, you have to be in top shape to pull them off otherwise you'll look and feel like you're dying. But subtlety, restraint and artistic intent are all much harder. It's why ballet takes a lifetime, but popping can be learned in a few years of dedication. Both are hard, but Ballet is deceptively simple.
The BPgirls all have competence in dance. The reason why LISA is THE DANCER is because she has the arsenal necessary to actually show nuances. Her muscles have the most strength and the most “memory”. Plus, she’s just so controlled. Its honestly a beautiful thing to watch

I feel like every move Lisa does is very very intentional. Whether it is to emphasize something or to direct your attention to certain details, she always has full control of the camera and where the audience is supposed to look at. My eyes are always glued to her even if she's put in the back or the side. I'm hoping we'll get another LiliFilm soon before the end of the year because I need a hardcore choreo for Lisa... not just a kpop choreo but a LiliFilm level choreo 🥺

So proud of my girls, ESPECIALLY Lisa, she came to korea to pursue her dreams and worked non-stop. She even had to learn the korean language herself, and dancing without help. Now she is one of the best kpop dancers in the world. She is such an inspiration for all the other kids who want to persue their dreams. @@Trish.65 that’s exactly what I’m saying. You think the other 3 can dance and move around with the same level of energy and charisma as lisa? No. Blackpink is a group that has some weak links when it comes to performances. Take any other female group in comparison to blackpink…the level of difference in dance/stage presence/energy/charisma and even interest blackpink members have is ridiculous. Some of these girls can’t even be bothered to get the choreo right or move their ass on stage. How some of these girls even debuted with such poor stage presence is beyond me. New jeans is a group of great performers…you really can’t even tell who the main dancer is, that’s how energetic and enthusiastic those girls are. Same goes for le sserafim. No weak links in these groups in terms of performance. If you think stating facts is rude, you need to look up the definition of this word.

Actually I kinda notice this in Pink Venom and Shut Down. The dancers really did a great job to create just the right visual for the members. Without ignoring members' dance skill, I really like how they put more effort to create the imagery to the dancers so the girls can focus on their singing-rapping-stage presence. Un buen bailarín encuentra el balance Perfecto entre la fuerza y delicadeza en sus movimientos, por eso es tan difícil perfeccionar técnicas en ballet; Lisa tiene ese balance al bailar y muy pocas pueden moverse así.

The camera work really makes the video amazing and adds to the ability of them to show the visuals of the M/V without props or sets, so a static camera would’ve been a bad choice.

@10:04. Jeff A question. Has Blackpink ever been a "Huge thumping kind of choreography" group? No. People keep commenting and comparing them to the heavy, hard thumping choreography from the 4th gens. Blackpink does what works for them. The choreography should be assessed for how it fits and work for the song not how it fits the group's image nor how hard it was or wasn't. Just my two cents.
