  • What should you do if every crypto node or mining machine you want is too expensive? Well, that's a common problem. In this video, I'll share a company that is trying to solve that problem. The Node Factory lets you buy just a part of a crypto node or crypto miner. You can buy into whatever you can afford and you'll start to earn passive income. ▼▼

    I am finding crypto mining is getting so competitive that it makes more sense to buy the coin than waiting for ROI of machine then profit.
    If you have access to free or cheap electricity it is different.
    The asic manufacturers are making all the cash. They become obsolete too quick and worthless in the end unless you can sell them to someone that is Nieve enough to buy it.
    I have just been buying KASPA on dips and I’m happy with that.

    Question. So i buy 430 ghs share of a kaspa miner for 475 usd? Doesn't a ks0 ultra offer that for 250 usd? I think maybe electricity cost yet it would never use that extra 225 in a year in electricity. Update if my math is correct it would use 6.00 in effectively a year so this makes this very very ineffcient and too cuddly for what you get.

      It's not a great comparison to compare these shares directly to any Iceriver product. Buying an Iceriver machine provides a much much higher hashrate value. For example, I recently bought a Bitmain KS3 for $8K when I could have bought an Iceriver KS5L for $5K. Why did I do that? I have had a rough time with Iceriver machines so far and twitter is littered with complaints about even their newest machines. So I paid a big premium to get a machine that has better reliability and quality control.
      But you will also pay a premium to get these machines hosted because the hosts have to make money as well. So with The Node Factory, you are paying a premium for a Bitmain machine, you are paying a slight premium to the host, and you are paying a slight premium to The Node Factory themselves because everyone in the chain has to make something, it's just business.
      So why would you do this? Like all things, you pay for convenience. You just buy a share and you are done. If you want to run a machine at your house, there is way more complication. If you do not mind that complication, then you can certainly save a good chunk and do it yourself. I really am not trying to sell you on The Node Factory vs running your own machine. I just know that some people do not want to do that OR some people can't. In that case, alternatives are needed. Hope that makes sense!

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@karlk286 I give context in my above comment, but yes, for a quality ASIC host, you will pay a premium somewhere. I can always save money and buy from a reseller. ASIC resellers have rock bottom prices because they drop ship units to you with only the smallest of margins. They provide no support and no hosting, so they can afford to do business this way and still make money. If you want to run your own machines, this is a great way to go. However for quality hosting (not shady or fly by night hosting) you will pay a premium somewhere. Either with the price of the machine being higher or with fees or other costs. Hosts have SOOOO many costs that resellers don't.
      Either way, I am happy to buy the machines I have bought. I will wait for the bull run and likely flip them all. And I will keep all my mined BTC in the process. We'll see how it turns out, but I have a sneaking suspicion I'll come out ahead.

    • @mikeh1005
      @mikeh1005 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I use TNF to run my nodes and asic shares. The 10% is the fee for the service. You pay your share portion of the power cost out of the earnings. The maintenance is covered by the host . Machines will probably run until they aren't profitable or the price appreciates so much (2x-3x in a bullrun market) they can sell them and you make profit from the machine sale . There is no extra cost once the share is purchased . You own the share . All fees (service/power) are removed from your earnings/payout.

    • @polli3578
      @polli3578 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      ah, i guess thats why there is a link to the profit calculator.. i guess they take power costs into account. but still looking for how long a machine will keep on running.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Like Mike said, they get the rewards from the machines each month, then take out the amount needed to pay the hosting bill, then of the profit that's left, they take their 10% fee for providing the service, and then pay out the rest. As for how long they keep running, they just watch the market and try to pick a good time to sell the machine.

    I’m confused, I didn’t see much on “how it works” on the website. Example, the S21 (paid out in BTC) according to the payout calculator gets a return of about 90$ annually. So, I spend $625 to get back 90$ in one year, with a yearly loss of $535? So I spent $625 to lose $535 the first year? And just hope they keep up another X amount of years to see a profit some day???

    • @mikeh1005
      @mikeh1005 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Are you familiar with crypto mining? Its a calculated return for mining crypto . You dont lose anything . You are investing in a crypto miner and that would be the current yields worth . If you purchased the miner and ran it , at todays price it would earn $980 ish per year at .08c/kw . Kaspa mining currently has a more appealing return .

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The website is pretty new, so I imagine there will be more and more info on it over time. I would encourage you to join their discord (or ZZZ) and they are pretty open to answering all questions.
      But really the ASIC shares work just like buying a machine. If I buy a brand new Bitmain Kaspa miner for $8K, I don't make my $8K back in the first month. I'm technically at a "loss" since I spent that money, but I have the machine which I could sell at any time. So really, my profit each month is just my revenue minus my costs, without the machine in the equation. The same way you'd view a rental house. The same works for these shares. You can sell the shares or you can wait until a later date if they sell the machine itself and you get money from that (maybe at a profit in the bull run). Whether you buy a share of a machine or you buy a machine yourself and put it in your house, you hope that what you mine is worth more one day than it is today. That's how it works.

    You mean Yield nodes? You saw what happened to them as soon the last bull market came to an end.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      Yieldnodes operated like a hedge fund. You gave them money, they "invested" it for you, you had zero insight into what they invested it into. Most of what they "invested" into were things they created or owned.
      The Node Factory just let's you buy into existing projects that you want to buy into. If you want to own part of a Blocx or Neoxa node, that's the only place your money will go. They also do ASIC shares. They also do it far more transparently.
      I understand that people were burned by Yieldnodes. I was (I lost $60K), so I get it. But it really shows lack of critical thinking when you just see the word "node" and go "this is just like Yield nodes!" Which in reality there are many many big differences. The Node Factory is much more like existing shared node platforms like iNodez or something (but I think done in a better way).
      Could The Node Factory fail? Yep. That's a risk of all crypto-related things. If you don't like this business model should you invest? No (why on earth would you). But at least spend a few moments critically thinking about what you're going to say. So no, I didn't "mean Yield nodes."

    So you are backing a group that you sponsor and get paid for that charges more money for use in a group that already charges money to get into and just chat? And when I look at the prices of the miners, they seriously overcharge it looks like in comparison to miner listings. not sure if this is an issue with the node factory or with Musk that you mentioned as well.

    • @YourFriendAndy
      @YourFriendAndy  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm showing some support to a company that was built inside my discord community that members of my community have found a lot of value in. As I say in the video (which maybe you should watch in full), they did not sponsor this video. They have never paid me a dime. I do have a referral link though if you sign up, but anyone could have one of those.
      If you can buy and run ASICs yourself, I think that's a great way to go and it will be cheaper. If you can't run them yourself, then a great option is to pay a bit of a premium and have someone host them for you (like I do with Musk). If you can't afford the full ASIC, then you can pay to get a slice of an ASIC. But since you are a few steps removed, the Node Factory AND the host have to make their money, so you will pay more. This service really isn't for people who have no issues paying for the full thing themselves and taking care of running them.

    So your paying 4x the price of a machine if you want to buy in shares then it would cost to buy outright. On top of that they charge hosting fees and 10%. So monthly you are probably going to be indebted to them. Yes makes good sense 😂 good one Andy, keep pumping your sponsors

    • @Ddodger0000
      @Ddodger0000 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hi. We charge an extremely modest profit on the machines. Just because you see some low, low prices out there does not mean those are good deals. Musk Miners pricing is published for all to see. And if you do the math you will find that we are not charging much more than our cost. Also, what you don't see on the Musk pricing is the extra things like Tax and the first month of hosting, all of which we have to pay for in advance.
      So I am sorry, you feel this way but your "4x" is simply dead wrong. Our margins are quite tight because we are doing this as a much needed service. Period.
      And everyone on the TNF team feels the same way. Also we are not a sponsor. But we do want influencers to make passive income too, so we pay them right off the top, before we get a dime, a small fee for any customers they bring us, for as long as those customers are with us.
      But I do very much appreciate your comment as you have allowed me to demonstrate who we actually are. Best.

      As for the machine pricing, not it's not 4X the price, but yes it is higher than a typical drop ship miner reseller.
      If you can buy and run ASICs yourself, I think that's a great way to go and it will be cheaper. You cannot compare a miner price at a typical drop-ship reseller with razor thin margins to a hosting company's miner price (who has to support the life of the machine). They are really two totally different business models. This isn't rocket science. It's fairly simple business stuff.
