I hated usc because their ride coincided with Miami’s downfall. They switched places. I blame SEC, ncaa and mostly the Miami administration for what happened really but I was 15 in 2004 I think. So what I saw was USC being dominant.
And us USC fans feel the same way about the entire SEC. It almost seemed planned as once we were sanctioned, there was no one to challenge the southern teams
I do hate USC and I'll admit it since 1982. I was a kid growing up in So Cal and they always had the reputation of kids being spoiled rotten with rich parents and they always seemed like entitled brats and so we're many of their fans so I always wanted them to lose. It started when I saw my very first college football game at the LA coliseum right before my 13th birthday in November of '82. That game was known as the phantom touchdown game cause there was an actual fumble by a USC RB named Charlie White who went over the goal line without the ball and the officials actually gave him a TD even though he had fumbled inside the 2. Notre Dame the team that got ripped off that day proceeded to win the next 13 straight years. That was poetic justice for the University of Spoiled children. And now more than 42 years later, I still hate em and always will. My favorite game ever is when my Alabama Crimson Tide beat em 52-6 on opening day in 2016. It's always a great day when the Tide win and USC loses.
You probably didn't even grow up in Alabama fan you're nothing but a bandwagon jumper as soon as Saban cheating ass started winning in Alabama you became a fan of theirs he retired because he no longer was the only one paying the players he lost his advantage he wasn't that much of a good coach all those titles were bought and paid for get it right
No reason for anyone to recognize that. They got screwed by the BCS but they weren’t the first or the last team to ever get screwed. For the entire BCS era the winner of the BCS Natty is the consensus champ. No reason to make a carve out for USC
What sucks is that we never had them play each other at their peaks in our lifetime. USC and bama had battles in the 70s where bamas national championship seasons only loss was to USC in Alabama. It’s fitting we’d get our ass kicked by lane kiffin and you guys. Taste of our own medicine
Sounds like jealousy… we have inherent benefits that other cities & schools don’t have… Weather, scenery, beaches, women, money & celebrities….Y’all hate USC because of jealousy.
What I hated about USC was they dominated a weak conference. Then, in any chat, a USC fan would talk about stats. My position was always that USC would have been in the top tier of the SEC, however, those long winning streaks and gaudy stats would have been GREATLY diminished if they had lined up and played real teams week after week.
Lmao bro this reimagined history of the sec is hilarious bro Ain't no one cared about SEC football after the 80's there wasn't a single soul in America saying "lsu and bama are playing !" From the 90's to 2007 Pete Carrol and harbaugh and the ducks with Ohio state and Texas dominated viewership and fans and the sec was an after thought Florida gators saved it from probably a restructuring and collapse like the pac 12 and old money combined with the espn contracts are why the sec is what it is but in terms of top football There was never a team that could compete with the west coast football dynasty
Pete Carroll, a leader/coach makes a difference. He is the dude. Once he left, USC has no relevance in college football. Btw, Coach Riley is not the dude.
Pete Carroll was my hero. You also can’t overlook the McKay and Robinson days. Full of National Championships, Heisman winners, Rose Bowl wins, and Notre Dame wins. So much pedigree, history, and legacy. Hope we can get there again during this very different time of NIL, transfer portal free agency, and teams being able to buy National Championships. FTFO!!! ✌️🤙
My “hate” for USC if you want to call it that, began after the insufferable fan talk from them towards my team around early 2010’s. (Duck fan here) I appreciate any good teams. The fans are the ones that make me want them to lose etc.
@ I’m an individual. I’m not like the generalized “fanbase”. I’m also a realist. You have your right to feel that way. The question in the video is what I answered. I have a quick question: What did Fresno State do to you all that we catching random strays? This show, the cover three podcasts, Ruffino, Joe, and a few other national media personalities all randomly fire strays at my school. So I would like to know for refference
I never loved them, but I hate them since they announced to leave the PAC, freaking traitors
They not like us 👀👀😳😲🫣 🗡️✌🏽💪🏽😤WeAreSC Fight On 🗡️✌🏽💪🏽😤
I hated usc because their ride coincided with Miami’s downfall.
@ they did usc and Miami dirty. Private institutions nobody wants to see on top.
Fight tooth and nail against South Carolina lol
Everyone should hate USC especially if you grew up a ND fan!
You probably didn't even grow up in Alabama fan you're nothing but a bandwagon jumper as soon as Saban cheating ass started winning in Alabama you became a fan of theirs he retired because he no longer was the only one paying the players he lost his advantage he wasn't that much of a good coach all those titles were bought and paid for get it right
Those Oregon jersey looked terrible
From PAC 12 hate to PAC 12 Pate
Phantom TD. 'Nuff said
2:03 Shouldn't 03 also be in red? Shared title with Saban's LSU tigers.
No reason for anyone to recognize that. They got screwed by the BCS but they weren’t the first or the last team to ever get screwed. For the entire BCS era the winner of the BCS Natty is the consensus champ. No reason to make a carve out for USC
I remember as a kid thinking how much I wished Bama was as good as USC. Little did I know in a short 4 years, they would be and even surpass them.
What sucks is that we never had them play each other at their peaks in our lifetime. USC and bama had battles in the 70s where bamas national championship seasons only loss was to USC in Alabama. It’s fitting we’d get our ass kicked by lane kiffin and you guys. Taste of our own medicine
@@orangekush101 That is because Pete Carroll went to the NFL!
Josh just made a video admitting he sold out 😢
Excuse me Rutgers invented football.
The South invited football? It was invited up north.
Sounds like jealousy… we have inherent benefits that other cities & schools don’t have… Weather, scenery, beaches, women, money & celebrities….Y’all hate USC because of jealousy.
Yeah… thats the whole point of this segment
High school and the reason was SC fans who were my classmates. I still hate them.
Definition of JEALOUSY
Man usc needs to come back ✌🏼✌🏼 Riley get your ship together
Utah still owns USC
won in 2 seasons vs sucked the other 100 😂
Must’ve just turned on CFB 4 years ago
What I hated about USC was they dominated a weak conference. Then, in any chat, a USC fan would talk about stats. My position was always that USC would have been in the top tier of the SEC, however, those long winning streaks and gaudy stats would have been GREATLY diminished if they had lined up and played real teams week after week.
Funny stuff...
@@MattGinNY Sure, the truth can be funny some times.
How you guys gonna put 10-3 2016 in best years since 2000 and just dismiss CLRs 2022 11-3 season?
41-38!!!!!
Lmao bro this reimagined history of the sec is hilarious bro
Ain't no one cared about SEC football after the 80's there wasn't a single soul in America saying "lsu and bama are playing !" From the 90's to 2007
Pete Carrol and harbaugh and the ducks with Ohio state and Texas dominated viewership and fans and the sec was an after thought
Florida gators saved it from probably a restructuring and collapse like the pac 12 and old money combined with the espn contracts are why the sec is what it is but in terms of top football
There was never a team that could compete with the west coast football dynasty
I hated them ever since Troy polamalu tried to murder Aaron lockett
University of Spoiled Children. Them and Alabama are the two college football teams I have always disliked
I will answer early 2000s for claiming a NCG they did not win and Pete Carrol. Oh and the bandwagon folks.
Think the northeast invented football not the south
USC was very good…. They were also very overrated a few years with horrible schedules.
They not like us
Pete Carroll, a leader/coach makes a difference. He is the dude. Once he left, USC has no relevance in college football. Btw, Coach Riley is not the dude.
Please shut up because you didn’t like pete his first year
@
I did like his first year. There was a sign of progress by end of the year. Do your research before telling others to shut up?
Sounds like a Hater!!!
So you grew up a hater gotcha bud . 😂
1962 the year I was born go ND beat OSU
F USC
Pete Carroll was my hero. You also can’t overlook the McKay and Robinson days. Full of National Championships, Heisman winners, Rose Bowl wins, and Notre Dame wins. So much pedigree, history, and legacy. Hope we can get there again during this very different time of NIL, transfer portal free agency, and teams being able to buy National Championships. FTFO!!! ✌️🤙
This caught my eye ……..that’s why I don’t listen to you and the south didn’t invent football ✌️
My “hate” for USC if you want to call it that, began after the insufferable fan talk from them towards my team around early 2010’s. (Duck fan here) I appreciate any good teams. The fans are the ones that make me want them to lose etc.
That's rich coming from by far the worst fanbase in CFB
@ I’m an individual. I’m not like the generalized “fanbase”. I’m also a realist. You have your right to feel that way. The question in the video is what I answered. I don’t instigate animosity, I’m more of an observer. Every fanbase has bad apples. My godfather is also a USC and UCLA fan we can have conversations just fine about all three teams. But you kind of reaffirmed my position with your comment. Good day
We hate DUCK fans and overrated Dan ...Cinderealla Story is over... Lanning just as much.
@ I’ve been a Duck fan my whole life, nothing is going to change that. I don’t follow as much in losing seasons just like most fans…. I imagine just like you since you’re 7-6 this season. I don’t hate any fans as you can see I said “hate”. You proved my point just like the last contributor. All fans have this in common, they love when their team has a good season. Just because I’m a fan doesn’t mean I endorse every fallacy performed my the program. Good luck to your emotions based on your teams performance into next year.
Ohio invented football
Great take Josh…I lived near Laguna Beach & I disliked the show too! 😂 Still love Pete Carrol, Matt, Reggie & Lendale.
Fight on ✌🏽
As a Texas fan, I love USC.😅
As a Trojans fan this is actually funny. Hurts a little but funny 😁
@ that was the greatest football game o have ever seen. I have always like USC though. I love the tradition of the program. You have to love those uniforms too
You are the biggest Football Agnostic I have ever watched. You bring from the south East and you have no “team” and if so you don’t “root” for them.
Ahahaha! Josh, loved your narrative of growing up an SEC Georgia kid who hated and disrespected everything about USC football and the West Coast to gradually accepting, then “liking” the Trojans and actually wanting them in the College Playoffs. Great anecdotes especially about being in the Fox Box with Matt Leinert and Reggie Bush. 😂 Fight on!✌️🤙
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Football was invented in Ohio, nice try bud
So how’d you feel about USC-Texas Rose Bowl?
Its weird to hate a college.
my hate for USC began when the Media (specifically Mark May) would suck off Pete Carroll, Matt Leinart & Reggie Bush weekly, not a Texas Fan, but Vince Young & the Longhorns beating them in the Rose Bowl still puts a smile on my face
Yeah... all of Texas's 3 National Titles... LMFAOO 😂😅
Such a Premier and Historically great program 😅😂😆🤣
@@mjuntz707 I don't think that counter is as hard as you think.
You're kinda just saying "Yeah? Well, we were really good when OJ was playing!"
@Socioromanticism Yeah, OJ.. from the 60s... great comparison and even better metaphor... good 1👍👌👏
You were annoyed that the media was putting a spotlight on the best team in the country?
@@benmarshall5132 I think the context is that USC didn't have the SOS of many of the other teams.
I'd say the same thing about Notre Dame this year until they proved it by beating 3 quality teams in a row. Not one at the end of the year.
