This level slaps. The theme is executed perfectly with the song and all the little details and animations give it so much personality. The level does have simple block designs and backgrounds, but it really compliments the effects and animations. One of my favourite aspects of the level is how it plays with visibility, especially in the wave at 36%; it was surprisingly laggy, but I found it so cool how the fake slope structures disappear and fade back in to try and throw you off, and it really did do its job when I first started playing this level. The mini ship at 74% also does this well making it hard to focus on the fake blocks in the pillars and the saws at the same time. I also think the cube right after did a great job at moving the gameplay around with the complicated layering and black flashes. It was kinda hard to see the beginning and end sections during daylight hours but I won't fault the level for that :^)
As for the gameplay, I found it very fun and it got very consistent by the end and it took me more attempts than it should have. There were a few parts that I would kinda call chokepoints such as the ball timing before the spam at 20%, 50% because I’m bad at duals, and the ufo jumps before the black orb at 62-63%, but they weren’t too bad. The only thing I’d call bad is the last spike which I died to twice because it’s completely in the dark, it doesn’t have the best audio cue since you have to jump a bit before, and it’s the very last click. I found out that you can just hold after jumping kinda early over the second spike, but it wasn’t very obvious and it was still pretty tilting to die to it twice. The first half of this level is definitely the harder half, but I don’t mind it because I got better with the ship after going through it so many times. Also, I don’t know how to explain it, but this just felt like the shortest XL level.
Overall, this level is amazing and I highly recommend playing it :)
