  • Sky News host James Macpherson says the Coalition is “inching ahead” of Labor in latest popular vote polling.
“The latest polling which has the Coalition inching ahead in the popular vote for the first time since the federal election,” Mr Macpherson said.
“Putting Labor at risk of plunging deeper into minority government when voters next go to the polls.”

Yeah, you Aussie voters aren't very forgiving like we (stupidly) are in Canada. Our PM's usually last for 9-10 years before the voters see sense (thankfully it's about equal on both sides; that is the Conservatives get in for 9 years then we have a woke Liberal PM for 10 years ... our "Liberal Party" is Far Left ... not like yours.) Thankfully, Trudeau's days are numbered .. he's been in for 9 years now and we go to the polls every 4 years to your 3, so he'll be out on his ass next Oct. Trudeau is polling at 18% to the Conservatives 45%. (And, also unlike you, we have a FPTP system so that'll equate to about 80% of the seats for the Conservatives.)

Yeah, that won't happen ... not with polling numbers like that. We have the same problem in Canada. Our Far Left "Liberal Party" led by Trudeau is in a minority govt with the Socialists (tne NDP) and both are polling at 18% and 16% respectively ... while the Conservative Party led by newly-minted leader Pierre Poilievre (an anti-woke, anti-Net Zero, anti-trans, anti-WEF leader) is currently polling at 45%+ ... which, in our FPTP system would translate into about 75% of the seats (around 250 of the 338 seats) ... kinda like what Labour recently got in the UK at the complete opposite end of the political spectrum. With Trudeau polling so low, we unfortunately will have to wait until Oct 2025 for PM Poilievre. We've had Trudeau for 9+ loooong years ... can't wait for a change..

Can't wait for a change here ... we've had Trudeau for 9+ looooong years.

In the political theater, tides do turn,
Labor's fortunes flicker, and voters yearn,
James Macpherson speaks with steady tone,
Of polls that show a shift well-known.
    The Coalition, inching ahead,
In the popular vote, it’s been said,
For the first time since the federal race,
    Labor’s lead now seems misplaced.
A warning sign, clear and stark,
For Labor stands on shaky arc,
At risk of plunging deeper still,
    Into minority’s cold chill.
    Voters watch with keenest eye,
As Labor’s hopes begin to sigh,
The latest polls, a tale they tell,
Of shifting winds and breaking spell.
The Coalition’s rise, slow but sure,
    Puts Labor’s future less secure,
For in the dance of power and might,
Every vote counts, in day or night.
    Macpherson’s words, a cautious note,
Of how the public’s voices vote,
    Reflecting discontent and strife,
In the daily pulse of civic life.
As voters next approach the booth,
To cast their ballots, seek the truth,
Labor must face the rising storm,
    With strategies to transform.
For now, the polls do softly say,
The Coalition may find its way,
To inch ahead and claim the prize,
As Labor stares with weary eyes.
In the coming days, the story told,
Will shape the future, bold and bold,
Of who will lead, and who will fall,
In the political game's vast hall.
    OddBall

No, it’s the way the party wanted to spell it. It’s taken people this long to realise the Labor party nowadays have never done a days a labour in their lives.

Standard English is used here, although the uneducated tend to gravitate towards the Yank garbage. Our disastrous education system doesn't help either, because most teachers wouldn't have a clue about standard English.

Rubbish, report real news, not speculation. Don't you have shame, I know there's big issues with the media, and you're just desperate.
