I haven't heard anyone else mention Mitsouko, and I have always loved it. I hope you and yours are well and are enjoying the holiday spirit! I'm so glad I have found you this past year. You lend an elegance and sophistication to the world of fragrance.
Guerlain is one of my favorites, but I’ve not tried Mitsouko, it is one I will check out. George Balanchine, ballet master of the New York City Ballet, use to choose fragrances for his principal dancers, and they were all by the house of Guerlain. Mitsouko was chosen for Maria Tallchief. Love your videos, your collection is so amazing! 🥰
That's so wonderful - if I were a ballet master, I would surely do the same! Mitsouko is one of the greats. A must-try, really, and preferably the parfum 🌹Xo Sam
Hola, buenas tardes a todos. Sam, interesting that you touch upon winter florals, since I was thinking a few days ago that I do not wear florals in winter! Have to revisit your Winter Florals video:) I am punished due to perfume spending but I wish to buy Jovoy Patchouli which I blend with a vanilla and I am insane about smelling like an earthy, soiled sweet green leafy moist chocolate cake! But for now, I am enjoying all that I have and keeping notes in my parfum notebook.
Oh that is entirely fair - please do enjoy the riches you have already! And perhaps you may find a floral in your cabinet that you can wear now in the winter 🌹Xo Sam
Love your videos and the fact that you do not take money from perfume houses. You have a good spread! Don’t enjoy 1888, it has too much of something. Not sure what.
Oh my word, what a list! I adore Coco + Mitsouko (tho, like you mention, that one took me a while) but haven’t tried any of the others… oooh! Really excited to experience Olfactive Studio. Thanks for the intel, Sam!
I feel the same way for Mitsuoko. I wear it for myself when I want to be indoors and transported. Need to try out Coco. Heard it was a good holiday/Christmas scent.
Chanel Coco was my first fragrance love! Will have to try Mitsouko again- I had a vintage sample, and it smelled mostly like oak moss with some transparent fruit/florals touches.
I enjoy your videos....I would like you describe what are you wearing and the jewelry as well. For example I like the necklace that you are wearing in this video and the blouse.
Thank you! I will try to add that in the description :) My blouse is from Mango, I believe they still have it, and my necklace is from Ana Luisa 🌹Xo Sam
Thanks for the video Sam. You make me want to give Russian Tea a second chance. On paper, I could pick up nuances, but on my skin, all I could smell is incense. Disappointing since I want a perfume with strong black tea note. Lately I've been enjoying Maya Njie's Tobak. I think that the first time I learned of this perfumer was from your video last year -- so thanks!
I also recently tried a sample of Matière Premiere Encens Suave, which is temple or church like but there is a tiny bit of sweetness which I plan to somehow amplify by applying a sweet base.
Beautiful stunning production Sam love your videos. Great list very enjoyable. I wish you a Merry Christmas to you and all your family. Best wishers for the New Year.
Hi Sam! Great video! I live in Miami, Florida, which is hot all year long. I still wear Coco edp and I love it! I'm going to sample the Xerjoff 1888. I loved your description. I also really like your lip color! What is it?
Since you love Chypre shot you should sample volcanic flowers by floraiku. I actually debated between Chypre shot and the latter before purchasing. I ended up with floraiku as the coffee and cardamom in it was just so beautiful to me. They are not the same but similar fragrances. You could definitely own both but since I don’t gravitate to those fragrances too often I went with one over the other. Both lovely though!
Like always, what a stunning lineup. I love MM: just got Russian Tea in 10 ml and am wondering what was I thinking NOT getting a bigger size right away. I'm Russian and I love tea. Again, what was I thinking?)) Also, after I found out that SHL seized this brand, I want every single perfume from him. I've already gotten 5 but am still missing my most wanted ones. Coco Chanel is one of the top favs out of my 70 bottles - that says a lot.
OMG Sam! 😃 you made my day! 😃 this is the most accurate and most picturesque description of Coco Chanel !!! 👏👏👏 I literally got thrown back into my Yuppie years in the corporate world. 🤣🤣 thanks for the lovely evening of great memories! 🙌 and thank you for Black Gemstone 💎 Sounds like my cup of tea for winter 😉 have a great weekend 🌹 Xoxo, Jo
Your picks are always interesting to see, always varied. I’d like to try Mitsouko more/again. I just listened to an interview with a perfumer who said YSL original opium, diluted to like 2% strength, is so beautiful. It tempted me to want to try the classics in very light concentrations to see what that’s like, mixed into a base oil like jojoba. Just thought I’d ahare
Oh thank you for sharing, Lisa. That is a fabulous idea. I dilute many of my stronger fragrances into oil, but mainly just to have a lovely scented oil for the body. Best wishes 🌹Xo Sam
I just went to the Dior counter and smelled a few of their more expensive line. I don’t know what to make of them and I was wondering what your thoughts are on these?
Hi Sam, i wonder what do you think about hermes l'ombre eau des merveilles. Seems to be a deep black tea fragrance too! :)
I haven't heard anyone else mention Mitsouko, and I have always loved it. I hope you and yours are well and are enjoying the holiday spirit! I'm so glad I have found you this past year. You lend an elegance and sophistication to the world of fragrance.
Thank you very much. All the best wishes to you and yours. I'm glad we've found each other 🌹Xo Sam

Very interesting!
I grew up dancing and our school followed the Balanchine style-great piece of trivia! Thank you for sharing.
That's so wonderful - if I were a ballet master, I would surely do the same! Mitsouko is one of the greats. A must-try, really, and preferably the parfum 🌹Xo Sam
Chanel also makes my all times favorite, mine is number 19 but still love and admire Coco for how timeless it is.
Enjoyed your take on unique fragrances as usual ❤️
Thank you ❤️🌹Xo Sam
Love 1888! I never hear it talked about. I had not thought of it as an 80's style frag but I can see it now.

You made me laugh out loud with the punishment. Relatable! And “earthy soiled sweet green leafy etc” 🤣 have a wonderful day!

Amy! Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. You really do need to try OS, they're incredible, photo-realistic fragrances 🌹Xo Sam
Hi fragrance lover, Coco is also my winter/Christmas scent. Lately together with Kenzo Jungle L’elefant
I’ve always loved Coco too. And Mitsouko is on my to-buy list. Thank you! You’ve never steered me wrong!
Aw thank you, Alison. Have you already tried Mitsouko? I do recommend the parfum if you can get your hands on it 🌹Xo Sam
Amazing description for Russian Tea, Mitsouko, and Coco.
Thanks so much, Maude 🌹Xo Sam
I feel the same way for Mitsuoko. I wear it for myself when I want to be indoors and transported. Need to try out Coco. Heard it was a good holiday/Christmas scent.

Chanel Coco was my first fragrance love! Will have to try Mitsouko again- I had a vintage sample, and it smelled mostly like oak moss with some transparent fruit/florals touches.
Wearing Tempo as I watch this! It’s def a cozy sweater scent.
That's lovely! Great choice 🌹Xo Sam
Not only the selection is delicious, your blouse, Sam!.. just to die for!
Aw thank you! It's from Mango, I think they still have it 🌹Xo Sam

Hm, well personally I spray RT on my coat, not skin, and it does it for me. Have you tried Bvlgari Thé Noir? Tobak is fabulous, enjoy! 🌹Xo Sam
I do want to try Chypre Shot!
It's delicious! 🌹Xo Sam
I also recently tried a sample of Matière Premiere Encens Suave, which is temple or church like but there is a tiny bit of sweetness which I plan to somehow amplify by applying a sweet base.
Fantastic, Alma! I do remember liking that one 🌹Xo Sam
Been curious about Russian Tea. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Fantastic video
I appreciate that, thank you 🌹Xo Sam
Hmmm. 1888 wasn't on my radar until you said carnation.
Lol, yes, carnation! I love it too 🌹Xo Sam
I've been wanting to get myself a bottle of Coco. Do you use the EDP or EDT?
EDP for me 🌹Xo Sam
Need to try Russian tea and Black Gemstone, have you already tried SHL Mamba? Great list!, thank you!!!
Hi Carlos, no, I happen to forget to try it when I go to Harrod's! I must the next time I'm there. Thank you 🌹Xo Sam

I can see Bal a Versailles in your hand in the thumbnail but where is it in the video???
You're right, somehow it got lost in editing. I've mentioned it in another video here 🌹:

I actually don't know... :/ an editing mishap, because I swear I talked about it too 🌹Xo Sam
I LOVE patchouli but the way you described 'Tempo' kind of scared me !!!!
Haha, it's not that scary, it's still done by Diptyque 🌹Xo Sam
