Also the 2nd biggest organization of countries after the UN is International Solar Alliance which consists of 114 countries is headed by India. Now we are planning to sign FTA with EU and UK. The best part about India is that we never comment about internal issues of any other country which keeps us alligned with even our enemies like China. Soon India will emerge as the 3rd pole in world order.

Its a good comparison. But ASEAN is a very active and economy-oriented organization. It is functioning well and economic and political cooperation among them are strong. They sit together at a regular interval, discuss various issues and make joint and unanimous decisions to boost their ties among them that ultimately help develop their economy and culture. On the other hand, SAARC is an inactive, non-functional organization due to by-birth animosity between two religiously-divided countries i.e. India and Pakistan. Only because of these two countries, this organisation is a lame one from its very inception. Very sad state of affairs.
