It's funny. I've been playing these games since I was a child. Now I'm 24 and I still keep playing them every once and then. I remember playing them during my time at University, when I always felt alone. And my partner was always with me. I was a treecko, my first ever starter in Pokemon Ruby.
Same here, from time to time I do a PMD playthrough and I try with different partner combinations each time. This game never gets old. If I remember correctly, my first starter ever was Machop in Blue Rescue Team!
I was a cubone with a machop partner I think! Wanted to be “different”. I’m now playing and trying to 100% it with me as treecko and my mudkip partner. Hoenn and PMD will always hold a special place in my heart. Reminds me of what life was like as a kid.
I love to play my Sapphire again, only problem is, I took my Mudkip (now Swampert) with me growing up through out the generations. I started with Pokemon Sapphire and ended my Pokemon journey at Alpha Sapphire. I left him there hoping he has a wonderful retirement from Pokemon battles. Maybe I should get his wife, that I left in Pokemon Ruby and reunite them. That would be wonderful to experience. (The wife is ofc Swampert and yes I did put them in the day care for kids making.)
I feel that so hard. I have a playlist of relaxing video game compilations, either for work/study or regular vibing, but I can barely get any time using PMD music like in this video because the nostalgia and childhood memories are too real. I mean, it applies to other spin-offs and mainline games (especially Colosseum and Black & White, my OGs from the 2010s), but _MAN_ Pokemon Mystery Dungeon music just makes me want to find my old handhelds and go on adventures with my guild buddies like the good old days before graduation.
Fr all of them felt like actual homies to stand by us and lend a helping hand. I always loved the fact that the games' guilds didn't take too long to recognize our player characters as reliable explorers instead of little kids to be held by the hand. It legit felt like a pre-existing crew of friends that we were integrating into instead of static non-playable inserts, which was honestly an amazing feat for a niche spin-off that debuted from decades ago. All except Chatot tho *>:(* that little bird bastard can suck a Plain Seed for those times he took the obvious bad guys' side and denied us basic dinner rights for doing good work. Little bro ain't nobody's friend, I reckon.
No Game ever can give me the emotions this Game gave me, it just reminds me on good old times came home from school eat dinner with my fam and then hiding under the blanket with the DS and fall asleep. Amazing!
goodnight is my favorite song. as a kid, i truly felt like i went on a massive journey with my best friend. and at the end of the night, we reflected together how we would keep winning the next time. how we wanted more everyday. how we faced our fears everyday. but now, it’s time to rest, bc tomorrow it’s important. there’s a mission at stake. this is what pokémon mystery dungeon is to me.
I replayed PMD Sky for the first time in many years last month. It tended to sit as a game i remember very fondly but not the entire reason why. Well, i think I know the picture this painted for me now. PMD2 made me aware and continues to remind me that it's very easy to lose even foundational things to decay. It is the natural state of the world when we don't give effort to maintain it. This is the methodology we see come upon Primal Diaga; he is single mindedly aimed at his self preservation in the current moment. Likewise we see the guild's lack of forward thinking causes them to underestimate the new recruits and makes them prone to Dusknoir's deception (this idea is less concretely present, but seemed like it fit to me). However, even though it is hard to maintain and even progress, there's a lot of things about life worth preserving we tend to forget about. Nothing encapsulates this more than in (I think) chapter 16's sunrise scene. Really think about how often the idea of sacrificing for the future comes up in the game, and what that fight is for. The whole conflict is just at the aims of keeping time flowing, just to be able to keep things like the gorgeous cycles of the sun and the warming company of the guild around. Grovyle's special episode drives this point home even further, as he directly dedicated his life to the sanctity and flourishing of our future. Through that example, we can only encourage and hope people recognize all the thankless effort that goes to tryin to keep the world from collapsing and hope they follow suit with that momentum. Its writing is simple but pmd2 still manages to be profound. While brief, I hope this helps the game be more clearly remembered and understood while cementing my main takeaway. I hope to elaborate even more on it some time, but for now, thanks for making these wonderfully dainty renditions of the moving soundtrack and thanks anyone who cared enough to read this far ❤
Wow your analysis on PMD story is incredible! These games have a really special plot and all the elements help in giving us the emotions, from the visual art style to the music. Thank you for taking the time to write this and for listening to my piano renditions! 🥰

I'm relatively new yet familiar to Mystery Dungeon, i played the Demo for Gates to Infinity when it first released, i recall playing it over and over, however, it was only until last year that i played EoS for the first time, the gameplay was as fun as i recalled, and when i beat it, i couldn't believe i was crying, the game hit a spot not many games had hit for a long time, and the soundtrack made it's way into my heart, i'm currently busy doing side content on it, i wish i had gotten into it sooner in my life, but i'm thankful i even decided to play it at all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing some songs from red/blue! That's the one I started with, and hold closest to my heart. All the other games that came after are fantastic in their own special ways, but red/blue will always be the one I love the most!

This is great! So many memories clicked from when I was a kid. I would’ve loved to see Through the Sea of Time ost from sky in this - but great vid and thanks for the memories!
Aaaa I couldn't find the piano arrangement of my favorite Pokemon Dungeon anywhere. I finally found it! I'm sure they'll continue their adventures even on rainy days in Treasure Town! ☔️
Because animals (and children) are emblems of innocence and purity. Your partner in Rescue Team says "I'm with you" when everything turns against you and you can believe it, as opposed to the same scenario played in a more "adult" setting where you automatically ask "what's really going on here?". But even as adults we have that core, but an intense drive to protect it at the cost of connection. It is a fundamental risk to trust, but it's the only way to recapture that part of life we need. Take something from PMD with you when you go back into the real world and try to find the same there.
wow these tracks are absolutely gorgeous! calming, relaxing, and helps to ease the mind. you played these so beautifully and wonderfully and i adore them
I always go back to this game 🥺 even after like 15 years, it has never gotten old for me. I got vulpix in the personality test from the very first time, and now I think of it as my spirit pokemon! 🤣🤣 I choose totodile as my partner every time, he’s just toooo cute 💛 what a nice video this is to have playing when I have to do score-studying/research! Thank you 🥰 I will have to pick the dsi back up for another run through soon!
Vulpix is an interesting one! I never seem to get it in my tests, the one time I did a run with Vulpix I got it on purpose 😂 Thank you for watching, have a great time with your studying!
I was treeko and my partner piplup, i bought these explorers of time because i had heard the music in some youtube video and the stories have stuck with me ever since
This is so good, brings back so many memories! Thank you for your work, this is really amazing! Are there any piano sheets? I found your Patreon and MyMusicSheets but I didn't find some of these 🥺🥺
Thank you so much for listening! Regarding piano sheets, for a couple of covers I used someone else's arrangements and you can find the link to those in the description of my other video "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Piano Collections". For the arrangements that I made myself, I'll start making sheet music for them in the upcoming weeks, as soon as I free up more from work!
23:45 Ahh, Poliwrath River. I had a very hard time getting through this level with my first pair, me as a Torchic and my partner as Mudkip. I had to restart my save file so my partner was a Pikachu just so I could get past that part of the game. Ever since then, it didn't feel right replaying the game unless my partner was Pikachu. Good times :')
Bro I had a hard time in Poliwrath River as well (I was a Froakie and my partner was a Snivy). Fortunately I was able to rescue myself and my partner through Pelipper Island and get past the rest of the dungeon.

Thank you so much for watching it and also for the support you gave me! I appreciate it a lot and it helps me to continue. I hope you can relax and chill to this and my future piano collections 💖
Hey, bit late to the party, but...
Thank you for such amazing renditions. The music brings back so many memories.
Thank you so much for watching, I hope they are good memories! 🥰
This is great! So many memories clicked from when I was a kid. I would’ve loved to see Through the Sea of Time ost from sky in this - but great vid and thanks for the memories!
Thanks! I have a cover of "Through the Sea of Time" on my Spotify, I just didn't include it in this because it's not really a sleepy song 😅
I never played PMD, but these renditions give me Ghibli Piano vibes. Excellent work, and thank you for the music.
I love Ghibli music, so that's a big compliment for me. Thank you for listening!
ここにきてポケダンの快眠BGMとはセンスありすぎ!
Thank you 😊
Thank you
🥰
the legend himself @tenpers !!!
You should look up Pally as well guys, some great piano Pokemon music as well!
Aaaa I couldn't find the piano arrangement of my favorite Pokemon Dungeon anywhere. I finally found it! I'm sure they'll continue their adventures even on rainy days in Treasure Town! ☔️
Happy that you found it here! That's for sure, nothing can stop an exploration team 😎
Why is music the most emotional and beautiful from games where you play as animals or directly with animals.
Take something from PMD with you when you go back into the real world and try to find the same there.
thank you so much for this beautiful performance
And thank you for listening to it!
Thanks for helping me get through finals of my last semester of college!
I'm glad that this video was helpful for you! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
I love this. and this was the team I played through the game with :') thank you for creating and sharing

Thank you so much! I'm happy that they achieve this calming effect to you, I'm grateful to have you here! 😊
these compositions are soooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooood
Appreciate it! 😃
Thanks a lot for that. It makes studying for finals a bit less painful :)
I hope everything will go well 😊
@@AlessioDicorato it did, thank you :)
Grazie, come sempre, di ricordarci di questi capolavori ❤
Grazie a te di ascoltarli! ☺
I never seem to get it in my tests, the one time I did a run with Vulpix I got it on purpose 😂
Thank you for watching, have a great time with your studying!
Who'dve thought a game about a human becoming a Pokemon and being sent to crawl through dungeons would lead to such emotional moments/music?
Damn these are perfect. gorgeous work.
I appreciate it a lot. Thank you for watching!
Wonderful job, thank you !
Thank you too!
I just finished my third(?) playthrough of Sky :) these are beautiful renditions, thank you for putting them all together!!! ^_^
Thank you so much! Which are your favorite starter/partner picks? 😊
Thanks, seriously, big thanks for this,
Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you for this. It's great, just what I needed. ❤
Really good work on the piano. So authentic and smooth
Am so pleased with how many of my favorites this compilation has touched on
You're welcome! I'm glad you appreciated my piano renditions 😊
I was treeko and my partner piplup, i bought these explorers of time because i had heard the music in some youtube video and the stories have stuck with me ever since
Woah! I had that exact same player/partner duo in Time/Darkness!
I never had treeko as a starter, time to try it out 😊
Friendship lasting beyond time
this game will always be my favorite, and the music always brings back memories. TvT
PMD has a special place in the heart 🥰
A good video for a not so good day to chill and draw to
Thank you, I hope your day gets better and that this video gives you some inspiration for your art 🥰

Serene Village
This is amazing, thank you.
I appreciate it!
Thank you for making this.
You're welcome! 😊
this is what i needed 🤍🧿🙏
I'm glad you found it! ☺
So chilly, bro! Mi fa veramente piacere vedere un video tuo exploding! 💪💪💪💪
Thanks brother! Sono rimasto sorpreso anche io 🔥
@@AlessioDicorato 🙌🏻 meritassimo!
Sei un mito amico mio!
Thank you man
I take it back the ad woke me up
Unfortunately TH-cam is putting ads on my videos, once I get the monetization enabled I'll remove the ads in the middle of the video!
I totally understand that! Unfortunately I never player Super Mystery Dungeon as I never owned a 3DS, maybe I'll get my hands on a used one some day 😊
Bro I had a hard time in Poliwrath River as well (I was a Froakie and my partner was a Snivy). Fortunately I was able to rescue myself and my partner through Pelipper Island and get past the rest of the dungeon.
Very lovely, great job as always!
Glad you like it!
Awww yeah, just what I needed for a long session of coding.
Sounding great so far! Thank you very much ✌
From a fellow developer, I hope you had a great one! Thank you for listening 😊
@@AlessioDicorato Thank you too!
About how it went, let's just say I have an excuse to replay the video a few more times... 🤣
@@javiscripter I totally understand that 🤣
Thank you, it's amazing :)
Thank you, I hope you can relax to it!
Please do another one with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and/or Black/White music! :)
There will definitely be a Sinnoh one in the next ones!
