A lot of us are seeing the same here in the States mate, it seems the immediate solution is to revert to v.71 until like you say…they get it sorted. It has been PHENOMENAL until this last v1.0 update, and then the confidence went south fast. Nail upon nail, just endless. I hunt old fairgrounds that are only from the mid 1800’s but they are CHOCK full of nails. I’ve done really well and was hoping for a little better control of 86,87,88 falsing in .71. Even if v.71 is as good as it ever got…it’s an incredible machine for what I do. Cheers!

I'm going to take it to my Manor house permission at the weekend and see how it gets on to be fair this ground is about as had as it gets full of iron, coke, and 1950s jet fighter plus overhead and underground power cables. Just updated from v1.0 to the 1.1 still digging iron on really good signals, so nothing changed. It’s not the all singing machine deus would have us believe. My deus 1 is as good, Atleast it tells me not to dig its iron. Thanks dan for sharing
Not a long wait I hope until the patch update? Gary Blackmore certainly glossed over the issues on youtube. Don't tell me he didn't know? He probably got to play around with it long before any of us.
I think the testers had it for about 4 weeks or so I could be wrong im just guessing. I think what xp should have do was to bring it out in stages they put so much in the new update its basically a new machine.
Big iron on the 800 used to give a high reading but not on nails unless it was a bent one. I'm pretty confident I never dug a 3 inch straight iron nail with the 800. And yes If I was digging big iron with the D2 It would be just that any detector will. I had an iron age spear head come up at a 31 on the Nox 800 at 18 inches deep but like I said you would expect that.
Thanks Dan same here apparently iron at 7 helps but defo something nor quite right I’ve had deep hammy giving a iron buzz on v7 . I think it’s roll back until they sort it , it will be a great update once they sort it , the features are definitely a positive
All the hassle I had updating to V1.0, means i'll be going through it all again with another update. Makes you wonder what the engineers get up to when setting up all the programmes etc. Surely it's tested beforehand before allowing the update to go ahead. 🙄
I know it was testing before the release but it would seem it needed longer and probably more people testing it in a wider range of conditions. And yes I had to faf about trying to update as well. Turns out not all USB ports are equal lol
@@SuffolkSifter Just got back from a pasture field. I was okay on the cleaner parts of the field with solid readings on the three signals I had. 1st signal 20p, 2nd 2p & 3rd 1p. On the trashy areas, the signals were all over the place. I was also comparing signals between two custom programmes General 40khz and Beach/Land on 24khz. Furthermore, I checked between the standard ones which was doing the same...erratic. One signal was a small lump of rounded iron giving a positive dig signal. Overall, in trashy areas it doesn't perform well. A machine costing this much should be discriminating out iron, or at least give positive low numbers with a grunt with no Black in the non ferrous bar showing, not a clear dig tone. I hope the patch sorts it, or it's getting sold. 👍
@@DIRTDIGGERDAN Doubt it. Small fields that have been detected to death over the years by others. Been over a few times myself last year, and not much came up. Testing v1.0 the important thing. 👍
@DIRT DIGGER DAN I've gone back and forth over my junk bin with 0.71 and v1 and onistly I haven't see much difference if anything I felt there was an improvement with v1

Great info Dan. I have been hearing mix feelings. I have just updated to v1.0 and tweaked a program, but have yet to test it in anger...

After a while and with a bit of playing with the settings. You'll dig less iron. You'll still dig some like with any machine it's more in the tones.

Yeah I did try that it did help a little but you start to wonder or you missed targets.
I just set deus mono 4.4 khz anything im not sure about run that over its not perfect but it works
Try putting the offset to 0 . It seems to be making iron sound great like a coin .

Trouble is Glenn, I guess that they can't test it on every soil condition and until it is released to the wider community they won't know.

Here is a suggestion keep all the iron that falsed on v1 and then flashback to 0.71 i guarantee it will do the same
