Teish Hollis that not true I have two daughters and I use to pay people to braid my daughters hair, but I learned and now I know how to braid hair with or without weave. I am 35. You can do it, just keep practicing. Practice makes perfect.

If you used 4 packs of hair, I’m guessing you cut each pack in half, ending up with 8 half sections and got three braids from each half section? equaling 24 braids. I’m going to try this.

This is THE FIRST video I've watched--- of at least a dozen where they are "showing in detail" how to do the base of the braid---where the view is clear, your hands are not blocking the camera and I can actually SEE how you're doing it. when you start it off, make sure its tight!!
I use to have the same problem. I seen someone take a peice of the hair and wrap it around once then braid. The outcome is cute and the rubberbands won't show at all even if you want to wear them in a ponytail.

Does it matter if you braid over instead of under?
Sonica Jones In my experience braiding over is faster and is guaranteed to look neat. I used to braid under but it took more time because if you braid too tight or too loose it shows in the strands. So I had to retrain my hands to braid over.

Sonica Jones yes it does matter. Braiding under your braid will be neat and tight. Braiding over your braid pattern will seem loose and your braid won't hv a good pattern if that make sense.

Can anyone help out?
So I recently did box braids (bout 4 days ago) and they haven't stopped itching since I got them installed. At first I thought it was coz my hair is dry so I sprayed and moisturized it with water. But nothing has changed and I don't know what to do. My hair is still itchy af. Anyone with ideas of what else it could be besides a dry scalp?
Mondem Monde its probably the braiding hair itself
Maybe your hair was braided too tight sis
Keep putting oil in your scalp and maybe use steam from the shower or a hot towel and wrap it around your head
Wash them with apple cider vinegar, then shampoo, apply a leave in conditioner, oil them up really good, and then tie down with a scarf till they dry to prevent frizz. ACV removes the chemicals from the hair that irritate the scalp. Makes the braids softer and it soothes the follicles. Next time soak the hair in acv before you install it.

Them rubber bands are going to damage her hair bad later if she doesn't keep an eye on them when the rubber band breaks while her hair is still braided.
