Hi, what if you sight right to the edge of red? Maybe it's easier to hit the x if you can see a better reference point, if it's always the same distance it could work. Aim right hit left 😂 ... or make a circle to the sight equal to the red target at a det. distance to co-witness.

Great job Brother! One thing that really helped me is drawing with my sight above the target. I start applying back tension roughly 1 foot above the X & let the bow settle in the middle. If I start low, I am continually fighting to keep the bow from dropping low. I didn’t see that as a problem for you as you are in great shape, but it may when the nerves kick in & trust me they will. Hopefully this helps in the future Bro & a 300 is definitely in your near future.

Good job Dan. I just shot my my first Vegas rounds with this past week. 290 on my first on Monday. Yesterday shot a 295. Trending in the right direction. But it’s way harder than people think lol

That new intro is fire, so was the shooting. I recently got a few Vegas faces and stopped shooting after 10 arrows because of how bad I sucked, haha. Going to work at it some more and try an official round approach like you did. Shooting a 7 year old Halon with a lot of ABT'n like you guys do.
Just finished watching the video of your Vegas shoot, you did really really good and although you were getting tired you were still shooting faster ends than what actually happens in Vegas The archers in Vegas get a little more rest between ends so I think you would have done even better, you have improved unbelievably over the years. Congrats and you have an excellent TH-cam channel.

Definitely need to build some indoor arrows! PS27 a lot of vane with a lot of point weight. Heavy slow and forgiving
Do yourself a MASSIVE favor and get 27's. They pick up SO many more lines. Those arrows are probably fine for TAC but will do you no favors in competition
Edit: glass your targets! You're shooting open class so you can adjust your sight mid round

I'm competitive in BH category, so 12 inch front max with no magnification in sight, my PB is a 10.6 average over 30 shots with 11s (and shooting PS27s), for Vegas rules we shoot 45, current PB 444/450 with 36X, I'd love to see how you'd fare with short bars.
If you get some spray glue and glue the target to cardboard it will hold up a lot better and make calling line shots easier.
Nice work! Once my targets show up I’ll se what I can do! 291 is my high so far in spot league( 5 arrows 12 rounds, 5 points max per arrow).

Check out using a 27 diameter arrow. I like black eagle ps27. You only have to touch the line to score. Good to see your finally doing indoor and putting the microscope on your shooting.
I shot a round this morning… 269. Got my first bow three months ago. My future hunting setup. V3X and a black gold 5 pin… nothing fancy. Did it in under 30 minutes.
Awesome job but you need to shoot a vegas round with the the lift and hunting arrows (bowhunter class )
My target panic started in 2015 when I got into target archery. My shooting has been mentally taxing ever since.

Way to put yourself out there!! Indoor is TOUGH but the score is an indicator of where you are and for your first time shooting a lens and with small arrows that's not a score to be ashamed of!
297 is my best at home round to lol know go to the weekly club shoot near you and see how you do with pressure. I fall apart, I think 295 is my best club shoot round. It’s fun

In competition at Vegas you can shoot any order. Most guys will shoot the bottom spots first to keep the possible shadow from your fletching out of the lower spots. I shoot bottom left, bottom right, and top.

Dan, you shot great. With fat shafts easy 299.I think you learned just how many clicks it takes to move a target micro sight. I do have some harsh criticism for you. You had the bino move all wrong. The sound effect was on point, but you need to whip it up and rest on cam, not to eyes lol. Once you get that, you're herby designated a target archer. Way to represent hunters.
Going to give you a suggestion and make sure you repair your holes. The one shot you and Jeff were arguing about it would have been called out or at least with the people I shoot with.....🙂
All the comments about draining your pool have to be the same people worried about your backyard range 😂
Definitely nothing to be ashamed of. I've shot 3 or 4 full rounds of Vegas and the best I've had was a 298 with 17 x's. I shoot a bunch of 3d and do fairly respectable at that...usually 😂 keep up the work and you'll get a 300 quicker than you think.
As a target Archer, this was a dope video Dan. BUT, I have to apologize in advance. That last arrow was in fact a 10 but no X. You shot a hell of a round regardless. Elk shape!!!🤘

Face it, the reason you can’t see your arrows at 20 yards is because you’re getting older😂 I once shot my own Vegas round and now realize I was counting the X ring as the only 10 score and not the next larger ring, so my score was much better than I thought. Was using a Mathews Legacy at the time.

Even scoring it with World Archery scoring (everything is a 9 except the x), a 282 is a heck of a nice start on the yellow target.

Get some fat target arrows, you would have had a couple more 10s!+😅😅 And we dont get plastic bags in my state. All paper or reusuable bags. But we get plastic cup, strws and eberything else thats plastic, but the bags, those are bad!!😅😅

If you are not sharing the target then use the outside of the target as the score sheet.
Why are you using a lens ? Yes you can see more accurately but from my perspective execution matters far more than aiming and the lens allows you to TRY HARDER ! Which is almost always a bad thing !
Sometimes conditions change or you change something and you need to adjust ! Mostly indoors any condition changes are a change of lighting and it does make a difference !
