Very well done, visiting China over the summer and planning visits to steam railways as well as my wonderful Chinese parents in law. Found a coal railway 50 miles away from my wifes home town!!!

Da-qing Village, not the Daqing Oil Field to be confused...is located 50 miles westward of Tieling Municipality. Today, the village is transferred to a major town call Diaobingshan County, where it has China's last remaining operative steam passenger station.
What is the spelling/hanzi of the city of DaQing? I can locate 大青乡 between 调兵山市 and 铁岭市. But there are some many DaQing's so it is a little tricky to locate. Hope you can be helpful in locating the exact place. 谢谢你们
you will be surpirised how fast they electrified some of the once steam powered lines. But you will be as equally impressed of how much steam is STILL in china.
