I was complaining about that the entire first half. "Why Dalot cannot commit to going down the wing with al that space". then I remembered he is not that type of player. I like dialog but that position needs someone better in terms of confidence and skill to go down the wing and cross or cut in.
in the second goal Yoro was trying to close up on Son instead of tracking back on the overlap run in which it was his responsibility to do. Martinez could have clear out the ball instead he was trying to keep the ball into play. in the third goal Martinez mistimed his offside trap run, he was the last man it was right for him not to be aggressive. other than being overly aggressive in most of his tackles to cover up his flaw in his positioning department. though he can pass he's not up for it.

Hojlund seems to want to always set up other players more than he wants to score, I get not being selfish but it's sometimes necessary for a top striker. Even zirkzee could have got one more when maz had an easy cut back to play for him but they are not finished products and still think they're stuck with how we use to play.
Compared to his usual passes in the final thomord, the quality of crosses from Dalot last night is much improved. I will be happy if he can keep this throughout the season.
I thought we didn't create enough for Holjund. Dalot kept cutting back to Eriksen. For Mazraoui's chance, Zirkzee should've made a run towards goal for Mazraoui to square it. He sometimes plays like he isn't a striker. I know he said he is a 9.5 but still make the run. Mazraoui shot because he didn't see anyone make the run.
I understand Amorim is learning the squad, but sometimes I wish he’d just play the people he’s comfortable with as a starting lineup. And win from the beginning of the game instead of using subs all the time. There’s still time though and I’m finally hopeful for a Man United team.
He has to rotate because of fitness and matches plus I don't think there are enough players he's comfortable with to make a good team. The squad isn't good enough, I'm not sure why he's not looking to boost it with Academy players but hopefully the team improves but that might be too optimistic. I pray for the best so we can survive till January and possibly sign good players
Bruno & Dalot can't do simple crossing into the danger area. Bruno has to overcomplicate everything and 1 in 50 times it comes off spectacularly, and Dalot gets in a perfect crossing position and overcooks the cross, hit's the first man or decides to play it back - I think with Dalot, the left is not his preferred position but Bruno needs to simplify his output.
I’ve been seeing a lot of complaints about Hojlund’s movement yesterday, which definitely needs improvement, but the quality of crosses Bruno was serving up were subpar, so many were overhit or poorly timed. Dalot’s crossing on the left is just nonexistent, he needs to time those better
@j.m.verlaat9449 yeah I'm not criticizing our strikers until consistently good crossing comes regularly. Otherwise we should just use Zirkzee as the 9.5 striker more often.
While Anthony is still here he should be tried out left wing back or left inside attacker. So many times Dalot and Bruno were in good high positions but the final ball in was via right foot/outside right foot and not good enough.
We have been crap in almost every single midweek game this season. Simply not enough fitness/depth to compete in so many fronts. Need to abandon distractions and focus on the league. Only complaint from me is we didn't rotate enough
Anyone saying "he needs to be stronger" when talking about the spurs 4th goal is just way off. I ask anyone saying that to go try and lift your arms up through another player blocking your left arm and grabbing your right glove when jumping. It is impossible, its such a clear foul. Not a united fan here. There is almost no strength in anyone when raising your shoulders laterally. Go try do lateral raises of more than 10kg each hand to the height that Bayindir has to raise them and you'll see why. Clear foul. Start analysing different teams, videos are great 🤙
Again we have to sort out the output on the LW (it offered nothing in attacks as well as curtailing kulusevski) Ange totally ignored that wing like he didn't care. For me we shouldhave lost 3-0, and it's mainly because of lack of attacking bite on the LW and mazraoui form ingame. Despite Maz and Yoro playing well, I repeatedly winced whenever the Spurs attacked that side. As shown by your example, there seem to be a lack of communication between the two. Hopefully we learn to correct it. On the other hand, I am really disappointed on how much opportunities we squandered whenever the balls goes to the side of Dalot and Bruno. Dalot seems to be limited in making good passes to the box resulting to stall of our attack. Those passes of Bruno that were not hitting Hojlund and Antony were equally frustrating. The players need to level up as we can't simply improve by relying solely on Amorim's tactics. Let's move on to the next game.
On Hojlund, I really want him to be good for us but I'm tired of holding players I like to low standards and giving them the benefit of the doubt. He has good finishing but when the ball goes to him, his first touch isn't good enough which leads to him taking too many touches. It's 50/50 whether he'll get it back to a Utd player and he never uses it to set himself for a shot (Like he did for his 2nd goal vs Viktoria Plzen). It seems like he's too focuses on holding the defender off rather than actual touch. There's also no coincidence why is he gets 0 service in games or he's always too late to balls in the box. His movement in the box and anticipation has to be better.
