@@brandonsalas7731 hahaha I was thinking the same thing. Just as I was about to sleep I was like hold the fuck up, what about the cranes that built that crane…
Not all the time. Some cranes start with the top and build themselves from top down. They use like hydraulic lifts to lift the crane up, put the new section in and keep repeating
Are you in the 1% club? Let’s find out… It’s time for the 30% question. If it’s true that you need a crane to build a crane; how is the first crane built without the having other crane to build a crane? Your time starts now.
But we never actually SEE this happen, nor do we ever actually see them raise in height with the hydraulic jacks. Also, those cranes that are in the middle of the buildings....how do the jacks fit in there, and do the chassis remain inside the structure permanently?
Seeing cranes self assembling is rare and maybe not visible because they are rising at low speeds. Cranes that are in buildings are lifted diffrently, it is mounted in the building and able to lift itself up to diffrent floors. Theyre mostly dismantled by Mobile cranes or special disassembly cranes. Some parts may remain in the buillding, but most are able to be removed
Those cranes in the middle of the building are usually put in the emergency stairwell with tie in points in flooring, when the jobs finished the base remains and stairwells are added. Hydraulic cylinders with outriggers lift the crane towers up while a new section is added to the base via trolley. That's how they gain height
The base section must be poured and set and density/ harness tested 30 days after its setting of the crane base before the rest of the sections can be built! No tower crane can show up and operate same day they appear to show up overnight because you don’t notice the base pour a month before it “appeared” (tower crane operate in training here )
I would hate to be a construction worker being near those things since your life is totally dependent on their skill and everyone that constructed it. I could imagine you would have very little time to react to an error unless you knew what to look for and the "grunt" level guys probably know little about the cranes weaknesses or might just be busy not looking when an accident is about to happen.
1:25 The bolts anchoring the crane are not 5/16", since a 5/16" Grade 8 bolt will take 25 ft*lbs of torque, and not 4300 ft*lbs. Serious error. 4300 ft*lbs of torque would be more for a 1 3/4" or 2" bolt and not 5/16". Also, it's cables not ropes 3:37. Ooops. I think you guys should change your name to Wanabee Engineer. Cheers.
This video explains everything but the most important part: how are the "sections" added? Over a certain height, wouldn't you need another tower crane to do so?! Than how do they build the first tower crane??? Watch "how tower crane build themselves" instead. It's a better video

Finally I can sleep without asking another "How crane suddenly appear in construction site?"
Bro am from a tiktok that was asking this question😂😂
Facts
Tg thats why ime here
My question is how the guy gets up there
Only reason I clicked
So before engineering the building, we should engineer a tower crane.
That seems to have a lot of work.
did they just show how to build a crane using a crane
Well I mean it is a portable one
@@GooseCrack but how is it made lol they would need another crane to build that crane tall enough
@@brandonsalas7731 hahaha I was thinking the same thing. Just as I was about to sleep I was like hold the fuck up, what about the cranes that built that crane…
No the crane can build its self upwards @@brandonsalas7731
Mostly a mobile crane is used for installation - the one mounted on a truck. It could be 80 ton, 100 ton etc.
But the real question is how did we build a bigger cranes without having a bigger one to carry the parts up that high..?
They build themselves as seen at 2:57
Lego they build themselves bit by bit
@@hewster1wow that's brilliant
People on tik tok were freaking out because they didint know how cranes were built 😂
“OMG THE CRANE SPAWN RANDOM” “FR- LUL”
So you need a portable crane to build it. Interesting

yup you use a crane to make or deconstruction another crane
Those cranes in the middle of the building are usually put in the emergency stairwell with tie in points in flooring, when the jobs finished the base remains and stairwells are added.

@@boeystuffinaround5290 interesting thank you

amazing how these humans have no fear working way up in the air

These cranes are terrifying when its very stormy, they look like they can easily tilt and fall down

Saw a meme on reddit about queen elizabeth and not having seen a crane being built. Had to get the answer.
I saw the exact name meme lmao
bruh sameeee
Same
Same, not from that Tik toxic
Same meme, I've seen
POV: you randomly thought of how cranes are made and searched it up on youtube.
exactly what i’m doing now
So basically the parts are assembled at construction site using another crane.
But how is that crane built then!
Which is the alpha crane!
Mobile cranes or Crawler cranes are built in factories
Finally the mystery of my childhood is solved
can the mast area of a Tower Cranes be converted in to an elevator shaft after the constructing is finished?
Im an operator and this is very good info for people.
left out how high high cranes lift their own sections up and "self" install to go higher
I woke up and thought of this so here I am watching this as I learn the answer
Had no idea what it takes to assemble this. Then have to tear it down.
so does it mean you need another crane to build a crane?? i dont get it
It's a portable crane
Great educational video, thank you!
This is cool and all but how was the first crane made?
How are the cranes that build the other cranes built though
Engineering has always inspired me a lot 😊😊😊😊😊
Now i don't have to ask myself how crane's appear out of nowhere during 3:am
Yea but how do you build a crane with out a crane
U don’t
Really curious how they add the cable length as the crane gets higher.
Overall length used is installed first. Just picture 100ft of cable but only using 50ft then when crane is taller they use more cable from the reel.
Thanks for learning
How much height of crane is used for Burj Khalifa 🤔
Ok know the question is how do they get rid of it after there finished with construction?
Same process just reversed.
Can the Earth be use as Counterweight in Cranes?
I wonder how many people died or got hurt when those cranes fell 🤔 😕
Very well done!
But how do they put the parts together?
THEY USE ANOTHER CRANE TO BUILD THE CRANE
how do you build the first crane taht was build
Mobile cranes are built in factories, their booms are telescopic, so theyre able to rech high enough to assemble a tower crane
Great as always.
I still don't get how the foundation is strong enough to support the massive crane. It's a very small foundation in relation to the size of the crane.
So how is the crane that built the crane built 🤯
In a factory
1:25 The bolts anchoring the crane are not 5/16", since a 5/16" Grade 8 bolt will take 25 ft*lbs of torque, and not 4300 ft*lbs. so you think you are better huh?
what is the first song
I thought there was a seed they planted the day before

hold tf up you need ANOTHER crane to build the crane?? what??
Love it!
Set playback speed to 1.25
Now he doesn't sound as drunk
I knew now how tower crane being built. I plan to be an operator soon.
Brilliant vodeo that explained me and Nikki high af, how the hell a crane is built and blocks pulled up on its back.
Much love ✌️
Is this the same narrator as that ridddle channel? Sounds VERY similar!?
how come no ones sees a mid build crane tho
So a crane has to build the crane?
I never understood how they get those big arse bricks up there
Ok but how do they build the cranes that build these cranes💀
They retractable cranes on the back of trucks, I do commercial construction
Very nice videos
The mystery of my life is finally solved..
5/16” bolts torqued to as much as 4300 ft/lbs? I think I know why cranes fall over now.
Hmmm I'm still not convinced you win this time 🧐
Thanks for the video, now I can sleep well 🤣
60,000 pounds is about 27 tonnes
I would bet the bolts are bigger than 5/16
So u need a crane to build a crane. Then how was the first crane made if there wasn’t another crane
What ?Can Bulit in less than a day. 🤯
Yeah that's insane!
so thats why i think they just appeared out of nowhere.
ก่อสร้างไรคับ
I thought they would randomly spawn in construction sites
Anyone here from that video on tik tok?
Mhm
I guess only you
Stfu
So they need a truck crane to build the other crane
BUT THEYRE USING OTHER CRANES TO BUILD THE CRANE
So this is how they spawn
Definitely are not using 5/16" bolts there..
Need to play this at 1,25 speed otherwise the dude sounds likes he’s gonna have a stroke.
Fun fact: A crane is built using a crane.

are crane rectors like the rectors that work in churches?
Anyone see that dude in the socks operating the crane 😳😅

def not 5/16" bolts.
I used the crane to make the crane
Why does this guy sound drunk af
0.8cm?
Who else here from tik tok ?
5/16 bolts? lol
