I'm in the process of building a custom arcade cabinet, and this will be a great addition! Thanks for the straightforward, easy tutorial as always-- you're the best, Blaine!
That's awesome! I built a MAME cab 20 years ago (yeah, I know 🤣) and it was a lot of fun. Most of the games that TeknoParrot supports weren't even around back then. A 2024 build will be amazing!
iv bin budling emulation machans and worked on emulators for years this is one of the most complete and comprehensive tutorials iv ever seen one of my pet peeves in this community is where supposes to help one another but all people say click this and that and show nothing you sir epidemies what this hobby is supposes to be thank yo so much for your work you sir make me proud to be in this hobby thank you
did you lead me down a rabbit hole, Never heard of your emulator but it does sound like it does arcade roms much like mame but differently, I had a look at archive and found the few thats there i hope someone manages to get there hands on more of those adapter arcade roms, This i did not even consider to be emulated but im glad someone has spent the time to do so. Thank you for the video at least..
Thanks great tutorial works for me, apart from i cant get the teknoparrot ui to fill full screen it just lets me postion it to one corner so when game starts it only a quater of screen, dont no if this is because my monitor is 4k or missing something
Thanks! Which game are you playing? Some games require that the resolution be changed in the game's settings. Kind of like multiplying out the resolution. If it's 720p, multiply width and height by 3x to get it to 2160p for 4K. Also, some games, like Battle Pod, need those patch files to get the game to play in full screen. Have a look at places like that "Archive" on the "Internet" to see what's on there. Enjoy!
Starwars battlepod, will check later when home , but with my windows set to 4k to a 4k monitor it just runs in a quater of top left of screen, if i drop the resolution to windows to 720p then fill the screen
Teknoparrot works best if you have an Nvidia GPU, because arcade cabinets running Windows Embedded almost all use Nvidia GPU to handle game graphics, so Teknoparrot will not need to handle many things like the compatibility layer for Intel and AMD
I'd think that would have to be on a game by game basis. Each game seems to have its own executable and specific control settings. My guess is as long as you have a wheel with force feedback (and probably USB), and the game supports it, it would work. These games are PC-based and mostly just launched through TeknoParrot, so I think you'd be able to do what you're aiming for.
i just watched your recent video on how to setup an xbox 360 emulator on my pc but i dont have any console but i have 2 disk games for the 360 how do i get those games off the disks without a console
Hello Blaine, so I have a pc knocking around with these specs, Dell OptiPlex 7020 i5 4570 3.2 GHz 16GB 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD HDMI Win 10 Pro, I've tried your video but the game play is scetchy! So would you recommend an i3? Just checking incase there is something I can do with this unit before more costs are involved! Tia!
Thanks! Definitely looking into 11.00 for PS4. Short answer: it's - buggy. Long answer: I've read hundreds of comments from other channels that have posted videos on this exact subject. Many that have tried the process have reported no success at all with it. Others reported getting partially through the process and trying dozens of times to get the rest to work but got stuck. I'm waiting until this process matures to the point of reliability for everyone that tries it before putting out a guide. The most important thing to me when I make a video is the certainty that the desired outcome will be reached at the end when someone follows the video guide. My name, my reputation, and everyone's sanity, are all at stake with each video published.
Sure thing, so long as the drive and the USB port / cable are all quality and high speed. Probably wouldn't want to use USB 2.0 for something like this. USB 3.0 and higher should be fine, though.
I'll check into it. The Big N can be testy about running emulators on the Switch. I think, maybe, as long as the jailbreak itself isn't shown, it might be ok.
It might be one of the games that's just not quite 100% supported yet. The wiki used to help cover these kinds of things but the wiki seems to have disappeared. Another possibility, if you're on AMD like I am, is that it's just not AMD compatible yet through the launcher.

Wow that opens a whole new world of possibilities!! Thank you. Man it would be awesome if you create a series of videos related to teknoparrot.

Finally got the Battle Pod game working on xbox360..was wondering about controller mapping for Battle Pod and Batman Arcade
Thank you for this. At last a very easy to follow tutorial

Specifically which button is needed for keyboard buttons D1/D2...I didn't map these.

Ive always wanted to use my steering wheel for driving games but how do u set that up with force feedback???

Hi. I'm using a Mac with parallels. Every time I try and put the cores in a seperate folder the program shuts down.

Awesome video Blaine but was wondering about ps4 over 9.00 frame ware for softmod video from you anytime soon?

Thanks for the tutorial Blaine but as you said I don't have the demo folder so where do I get the games if the wiki is no longer available?
Thanks! Well, TH-cam doesn't allow posting links to content. However, there is an "Archive" on the "Internet" that might be of help. :)
Amazing tutorial as always, thanks Blaine!
Thanks for your kind words! Much appreciated. These games are amazing. It's like walking into the game room at a Dave & Busters. :)
Awesome. It’d be a great way to play Luigi’s Mansion Arcade this way
No doubt! Like being at a Dave & Busters but not needing the swipe card. :)
Didn't know there was a luigi's mansion arcade game and I just played a beat the gamecube ver a few days ago
what is the game files be like? i mean where can i buy it or when searching what shall i search?
Anything on Mac?
Thank you for making the process so easy.
Just found 195 games for this. Can I use a higher capacity ext HDD for the gameplay? Thanks on info.

@Blaine Still one of the best tutorials experts on TH-cam... Keep doing what you do my friend. Awesome work.
but it's not all free is it?
Just Perfect!!! Thank you!
Great tutorial ill be back for more.
Wait. I have to pay to play this emulator? I thought it was FREE??
Great. We do light guns and arcade racing with wheels 🎉🎉
did you forget to mention you need to pay to play those games??
Can someone please make a emulator video for the PS2 on Nintendo Switch?
I'll check into it. The Big N can be testy about running emulators on the Switch. I think, maybe, as long as the jailbreak itself isn't shown, it might be ok.
Is it possible to use this with Wiimotes?
No idea. I've not tried it that way.
Same questionn
Definitely u just have to configure everything off the top off my head id use glovepie to remap wiimote into mouse cursor and keyboard
Do a video on the Batman game on teknoparrot
Keep trying to play Contra and keeps asking about clock settings and won't start.
It might be one of the games that's just not quite 100% supported yet. The wiki used to help cover these kinds of things but the wiki seems to have disappeared. Another possibility, if you're on AMD like I am, is that it's just not AMD compatible yet through the launcher.
Another fantastic video! Thank you!
You're welcome! Great having you here to watch them. :)
I'm very love it !!
Thank you! Kinda like going to Dave & Busters, ain't it? :)
Well that was interesting
