A Rare Bear Family - Newborn Cub, Older Sibling and Beautiful Mother

  • This Brown Phase Mother Bear not only brought out her newborn cub very early, but is also still in the care of her yearling cub. A very rare occurrence that we will not expect to witness again any time soon! Hopefully the little one is getting lots of Mum's Milk to grow stronger fast. The initial worry was that this tiny Bear Cub was stuck or injured, as it's sibling whizzed up and down the tree in such close aggressive proximity. This was a high human activity area that was extra tricky for all, however, the Cub did come down and they may have found a much safer space by now. *Sorry for the shakiness. More on Black Bears..

    There was another video of another family of mom older sibling and young baby. Apparently the first cub had been chased off by a male bear during mating season and not seen again, presumed killed by the male. Then the mother had a new cub, and I think almost a year later she was seen again with another young female bear in tow as well as new cub that could only have been her original cub. The cub must have survived and found her way back to mom. Such a lovely thing.

    The older cub tried several times to encourage the tiny cub to come down but he was scared he was going to fall or loose his balance. I'm so happy to know three are just fine and ok in the forest. 💋💋💋🙏🙏🙏🙏I'm praying for the three.

    Mother bears are designated to tolerate their genetic daughters within their territory but to occupy the same tree as the mother with that cub seems rare.

    This is the first time I’ve seen an older and younger sibling still at home with mom! Maybe it’s too tough out there for the older sibling to make it on its own! Some of us had to do that once! The baby is so CUTE!!

    • @WildlifeOnVideo
      @WildlifeOnVideo  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      We suspect that the older sibling moved away for safety during mating season.. and then came back with Mum, ending up denning with a pregnant Mum.

      In this particular Bear families' case, we believe the black cub may have been chased off by a Boar during mating season, but the cub stayed close enough to reunite with Mom after successful mating happened. They probably denned together with another cub or more joining them, being born in the den in late January or early February. It is believed that this Mum is biological to both cubs, however. Thank You Wisconsin!

      Whenever Mum feeds them and then decides the meal is over, Bear Cubs usually squabble pretty hard for a few seconds in frustration. If that happens as usual with these two, it could be pretty tough on the little one.

    • @kroakie4
      @kroakie4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mom would probably put the yearling in it’s place if it was too aggressive with the baby.

    • @WildlifeOnVideo
      @WildlifeOnVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, typically Mum would react to protect the younger Cub. Thank you Kroakie!
