- Storm Coaster is a Mack water coaster at Sea World in Australia. This ride features an outdoor coaster section and a dark ride finale. This is a clone of Skatteoen at Djurs Sommerland. But was it better than the ride it replaced? Find out in this review!

I agree with you, themed sections make way more sense before lifthills
Especially for this type of ride.
I rode Skatteøen’s Malaysian clone (Kraken's Revenge) last weekend and it's extremely notable for being my 200th coaster credit! Celebrated my milestone with a literal splash!
Plus also did this Australian clone earlier this year on January 11!
Nice!
The disappearing UFO bit on Bermuda Triangle always looked awesome every time I rode it. It also had a tiny, tiny launch section (very mild) and some amazing water effects. The theming was in a different world to Storm. Before Bermuda it had mining theming. Personally I think Bermuda's theming would still hold up in 2023. The two drops were not small but they were shallow, but at least there was two of them.
For the launch, are you referring to the part when you get pushed backwards?
@@CanobieCoaster it's forwards on bermuda triangle. Well, it was. It was a sequence of special fx/lighting and you get launched forward for about maybe 20 feet.
@@CanobieCoaster I just watched a POV of Germany's version and there are some very key differences. Now I know what you mean about the backwards thing, no, this is not what I was referring to. In its heyday the SeaWorld version was superior, however Lassiter's Lost Mine before it was also a good ride. I am trying to find a good clear POV of the Aussie one, it's like you are getting sucked forward into a black hole. I am presuming, but could be wrong, is that it's a high speed conveyer belt section under the water. Definitely going forwards.
Burmuda Triangle was much better than Storm, which is still a good ride, but not even close to the experience Burmuda was.
Both are fun, but Bermuda Triangle looked way better.
This ride is not fun for any enthusiast but this coaster REALLY helped me get over my fears as a first timer on roller coaster so I highly recommend for anyone wanting to face their coaster fears.
I find it fun as an enthusiast still.
@@CanobieCoaster It’s very small so someone who is a pro like you I’d imagine would fell asleep lol but I’m glad you found it enjoyable!
Before Storm Coaster I would only go on SpongeBob's Boating School Blast which isn't a big coaster, Storm is way better, I'm still getting used to the head chopper after the big drop though.
I was lucky to ride the Burmuda Triangle in 2002 when I was a kid and was very disappointed that it was gone when I returned later in life. I have been on the storm coaster and enjoyed it however the Burmuda Triangle ride was probably my most memorable ride experience overall.
I love the version in Germany.
I only did the Bermuda Triangle ride once as a kid. But I remember it being amazing. It would have been great if they were able to keep it. It was the best water based ride in Australia.
But that being said. I love the Storm Coaster!
I wish they could have had both.
The previous Bermuda Triangle ride looks better as the current ride is mostly outdoors with not much theming in comparison.
I wish both could have existed together.
Canobie Coaster would say:
Then you zip back into the warehouse and hit the big splashdown. This will get your upper body pretty wet, but thankfully your shoes should be spared.
If I ask you, why did you say "thankfully"?
Because I don't like wet sneakers.
25-30 dollars for a single skip the line is insanely expensive, even if that’s Australian dollars.
True, that's more than most single shots in the US.
Not storm related but how many defunct/sbno coasters and flat rides do you think you have ridden?
Hard to say how many old flats I've ridden.
The end kinda reminds me of Jurassic Park river adventure building scene minus the dinosaurs, you agree?
Didn't think of that ride myself.
not Storm related, but I am going to Six Flags Great Adventure this Friday on a school trip. How do you think crowds will be, and what should I prioritize with Batman, MEdusa, and El Toro being closed? this is from someone who has ridden most major coasters, but my visit was all the way back in 2019.
Nitro and Jersey Devil
i think
I don't think the park should be too busy. Nitro has had one train a lot from what I've heard, so I'd start with that just in case.
@@CanobieCoaster thanks. My only worry is that it's their stem - physics classroom day. So there might be a ton of school trips there
@@CanobieCoaster I also rode nitro my last visit, my main priority is Jersey devil
I'm also going on a school trip, so I can't go off by myself
Would you like to go again to australia?
Yes
What do you think, better than Skatteoen at Djurs Sommerland and than the old ride?
7:35
Much preferred the old ride.
hammond b3 organ
What?
Apparently, not as good as the Wiggles ride. 🙄
Still need to see a POV of that one.
@@CanobieCoaster Defunctland video on it came out today.

I am serious.

Nice!
