Great video. I also fish LI Sound and just purchased some 7-strand stainless wire for trolling. Is there an accurate depth chart you use? Do you go by the "x-number of feet down for x-number of feet out rule?" I've heard estimates that you get 10 feet down for every 100 feet out, but not sure on that (at 2.5 mph troll speed.) Looking to troll tube and worm without using multiple drail weights.

My understanding is 10ft down for every 100ft of line out. But I’ve been trolling umbrella rigs in 30 FOW with only 100ft of steel out and nailing stripers. Maybe cause the umbrella has a weight on it.

Yes there is! It’s a star drag, so the adjustment is right next to the handle. It’s a fantastic reel.

@@Horn_n_Fin_Outdoors I i was thinking that but mine will only turn a quarter way round and I assume it should turn the full way?

@@oisindonny9896 YES, it should definitely turn more than 1/4 turn. if it wont turn, you may have a defective reel
