- Hot off of a great launch day for the RANE PERFORMER, I wanted to share my own personal Top 10 list of features I find myself using and/or enjoying on the controller.
Some of the items on my list are pretty obvious, but some of the other RANE PERFORMER things that I really enjoy aren't necessarily flagship features, just super handy to have! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Well done Jake. Thank you for such an informative video. There are many layers to the Performer and I love what it has done for my Dj sets. There is more going on in the mix and I’m here for it.
Same!
Looks amazing! It's such a fun device. I can't wait to get mine and show it off at my next gigs!
I have Number 8, Hold Echo fx on my Prime 4+. I just tried this same technique, and it works just as you demonstrated. Thanks for giving me another great mixing option to utilize!
cool technique
Amen!
Great Video.... straight to the point! Hopefully, the team at Rane will release another battle-style mixer soon!
I would LOVE that!
great tips and tricks cant wait to get one
Someone mentioned, it would be preferable to add indicator lights on top of each filter knobs, of which I agree, the controller would have been so much closer to perfect..... What is your opinion, don't be scared to criticize...... Oh the other. The option for detail waveform horizontally display would have been complimentary
Great Video! Nice detail and easy to watch.
I love the portability of the product. I have always been a pioneer guy but I think I will get this unit when I get some cash in.
Maybe you can speak to your superiors and mention that we DJs want a standalone solution like this.
And another product for home use is the 12” versions. Rane twelve with the Screen and USB ports so no need for a laptop ❤❤❤
Jake is awesome!!!!! Great video!!!!!
Not nearly as awesome as @djflipside33
Great breakdown! You may have convinced me to upgrade from my Pioneer SRT 1000 for my mobile gigs! I still also have my Rane Seventy for home use too. I guess I’m may be going back to all Rane?! 😮😮😮
Same
Solid choice, I'll think you'll be really happy
Thanks Jake’ i did not even Realize the Black Tall Feature Scrolling Stick up Top controlled Library on Platters😂, now i knows Thanks to you and i just Unboxed my Rane performer Today🎉👏🏽🤣, i gotta figure out the Cutt out and how it sounds So the Scratches sound like yours,😅
The pitch bend is the best, AND HARDLY ANY PIONEERS HAVE THEM. I can't stand Pioneer if you can tell. Some of these apply to the FOUR with the new firmware update too, thanks for the tips.
Pitch Bend is kinda one of those things you don't think you need, until you actually have it, then you LOVE it in my opinion.
@@bpmdjpro Weird thing is, everyone I know that uses it learned it on Denon CD mixers - which makes sense, that's what they had. However, I used to DJ vinyl and went dormant for 30 yrs but somehow I prefer the pitch bend over the platters now when I picked it up again.
Great vid. What’s the track with ‘losing control, can you bring it back’ lyrics?
It's a custom track that I made specifically for demo videos for the RANE PERFORMER.
@@bpmdjpro thanks man. I’ve bought my Rane performer and got it set up yesterday.. I managed to Shazam your track and found the house version, so I can still isolate the acapella.. maybe I’ll throw a big beat track behind if too 😘 awesome controller best individual piece of kit I’ve ever used in 25 years of DJing 🔥
Why does serato still have to hold shift while using loops rekordbox loops are automatic once you make them …smh😢
Is there a way to put your favorite fx in a playlist if u will 😊
The closest thing to that would be just saving your favorite FX on the 6 quick access buttons on the FX section, just select them by holding the FX select button and scrolling with the parameter knob and then long pressing the FX select button to save them.
Hi Jake - are you able to confirm whether the Rane Twelve mkII is compatible with the performer for decks 3/4 in Serato? Will I run into any issues if I use one of my twelves as a third (or fourth) deck? Thanks!
@@Ronniezim I’m going to do some in-depth testing on this early next week and will let you know for sure then.
@@bpmdjpro Thanks! Super appreciative. Someone told me they don't actually work (there's an issue with Serato supporting more than two motorized decks?). If this is in fact the case, I imagine it's something you guys would like to be aware of.
Looking forward to what you find as the performer looks outstanding and (as long as it work with my twelves) will be a perfect solution for my needs.
Thanks again!
@@Ronniezim I spent some time researching this and did a video on it - th-cam.com/video/EdnF7wctR_g/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@bpmdjpro thanks! I’ll check it out. I took the plunge and picked up the performer, so this will be super helpful! Thanks so much to you and the rest of the team!
@@Ronniezim Enjoy!
Everyone talks about the features what about the requirements to run this puppy
Since it runs Serato DJ Pro, your laptop should meet the requirements of that software, which can be found here: serato.com/dj/pro/downloads
do you still need a laptop ?
Yes, you do
How come my performer is glitching out, is this compatible with Windows 11?????? Help
Yes, it's compatible with Windows, make sure you have installed the Driver from rane.com/downloads and that your running the latest version of Serato
what about the platters turned off not spinning but be able to scratch and mix with it
Yes, you can turn the motors off by holding SHIFT and pressing the Slip Mode button, but then the top becomes pitch bend and will not work for scratching. Honestly, the RANE FOUR would be a better option for you if you don't want moving platters and you still want to scratch
@ Wazzytv, why would you buy a controller with spinning platters if you don't need them?
@@owenjohn1192 ..I need them and I like them..but having an option for both is also good for a controller that’s $3000 in Canada
