The “Invest your time in something else” argument is very interesting. Because the NBA is such a huge success because of the fanatics. I love the game of basketball but I don’t pay a single cent to watch games, buy merch, etc. It is the die hard fans who invest their time, and energy which makes these guys make more than 99% of the world population

My main point was to oppose that attitude these guys have (which I used to believe as well) that it makes no sense why people care so much about these athletes and celebrities.
