That was a great inside look at takeoff and landing. Super cool. Thanks for sharing.

That was awesome. The video wasn’t gyro stabilized or rigged with a soundtrack, and as a result I feel like it captured the essence of crewing for the U-2 beautifully! 10/10!

Very delicate cooperation procedure needed for takeoff and landing. Slow, but mighty good climber and high alt aircraft, she is.

I saw a U-2 flying at Joint Base Andrews about 6.5 years ago. He took off and pulled up into 45 degree nose up attitude after a short takeoff roll. After it was back on the ground, they had a barrier and some armed guards surrounding it, because as I said to one of the guards, “A real magician never reveals his secrets.”

Same here! I thought it was supposed to be quiet because it was a spy plane. But man, I was so wrong.

@@DragonLadyGrace2700 They used to be powered by the same engine which powered the F-8 Crusader, just without an afterburner

Is this the oldest aircraft in our inventory still flying?

That'd be the C-130 and B-52. The holy Trinity of the 50s now that you think about it.

@@MikoyanGurevichMiG21 all the C-130s are a newer version I meant the year built. The B52 then. Thanks

@zonda16 oldest B52 we have is from the early 60's currently. There's still plenty of KC135's in service from the 50's though.🎉

    Huh?
Seems overly laborious and time consuming.
But rolls right off the ground. Impressive.
