I actually originally found you through your dreads removal video!! I was trying to decide if I wanted dreads and I really do but I decide I’ll get dreads when I actually color my hair to have some fun dread colors like you and your cousin! Now the hard part of actually deciding the colors I want to go to since my hair is black with low-lights so a bleaching process of any kind right now will be another journey in itself because I’ve already damaged my hair from previous colors!!! So right now I’m on a hair healing journey, yay! ( I used to have long hair, about the length of your dreads, now I’m at a medium-short length. TIP: don’t go color as bleach crazy! )
you can actually NOT get locs are get your hair treated or do it yourself (you can use aloe-Vera to strengthen it) getting the locs for that reason is shitty and insensitive to our culture
