What I love about Hitchcock is how even a small conversation keeps you glued to the screen like the one where they are planning the murder.
It's tough to choose one but I like strangers on train and Rebecca alot. The thing I love in Rebecca is how the entire movie is revolving around her, even the movie is named Rebecca but we get to know about her only in the end.
I like vertigo too and who can forget psycho. Specially the last scene where he superimposes a skull with the murderer smiling.

Strangers on a Train, Vertigo and Psycho are among my favorites as well. Unfortunately I haven't seen Rebecca yet... but I definitely plan to.

Alfred Hitchcock is a master.... His films are masterpieces, we can learn something in his all films.... His contribution to cinema was great.... One of my favorite director... Dial M for murder is my favorite... The whole film was just made in a room but we are just at the edge of the seat, the suspense was maintained by him in an outstanding way... His all films made us to feel the true taste of suspense and the feel of true thrill... You also review his another films like Rebecca, The lady vanishes, Rope, Rear window, The birds, Psycho, North by northwest, Vertigo, notorious and Marnie.....

Don't know why critics dislike this and "Rope" they are masterpieces of suspense if you ask me.

I initially had a similar reaction to the phone call scene right before the attempted murder. Then I remembered my mother, who was the same age as Grace Kelly. She would keep saying hello for fifteen seconds before giving up the call. So it's generational. Also... I think Margo knew there was someone on the line listening. When she kissed her husband goodbye earlier you see her suspecting something is not right. The strange phone call continues that.

I am still confused a bit on how the police guy unfoiled the murder with the keys.

Funny. I was just thinking about how much I like this movie. I just realized that nearly all of the action takes place in one room. I guess it's no surprise that it came from a stage play. There are a lot of other Hitchcock movies that I like, particularly North by Northwest and The Man Who Knew Too Much (the 1956 version with Doris Day; I haven't seen the original version).

Man! They pretty much were all great. Psyco, Rearwindow, 39 steps, passengers on a train and north by northwest 🎉all classic. I remember as a kid in '69 or 70,my dad went hunting and my mom had woke me up to sleep in her bed because "Psyco "was on and she didn't want to be alone 😮😊 .Great times 😂

The problem I’ve always had with this film, despite liking it very much besides, is the hole in the script so wide you could drive an elephant through it, that being the fact that despite many months of meticulous planning and execution, his plan for the most vital/crucial part of it’s success was nothing short of mindless. Instead of the convoluted plot he came up with for the dangerous dance of the keys, all he had to do was make a duplicate for the murderer. An 8 year old could’ve/should’ve come up with that without working up a sweat. Puts a damper on an otherwise nifty, well thought out map. Lazy writing, for some inexplicable reason, is the only feasible reason I can come up with, as it stands out like a sore thumb.

With theaters closed, our main Denver film critic is not able to do his thing. I hope you are staying safe and as well as possible in Germany, I mean Austria. Rough times for all.

Pls sir review of 'Ratsasan' .It is a very great cinema of south Indian film,In India many good movies released(not only in Bollywood}.but they can't perform well because this films are low budget film ,so producers can't promote them well. And big shitty movies got hit because if money of producers and immature Indian audience. I request you to promote good Indian films, ratther than these type of movies might not get the honor that they deserve, I apologize for my weak english

@@TheJimmyCage what are your favourite Hitchcock movies? I've been working through his filmography and so far I've seen Psycho, Vertigo, North by Northwest and Rear Window. Psycho is at the top for me with Vertigo closely behind.
