Satyr is a genius. I love him, I love Satyricon and everything about them. With Darkthrone and Mayhem they're my favourite..
This light is really.... and when Satyr does "krrrch" my heart is startin burn.
As for me..aww maaan, I strongly appreciate his kinda chillout impressive narration..extremely aaaawsome!

I just saw them 2 weeks ago in California and it was the same.....Satyricon blew Cradle away with their showmanship. An awesome show.

I'm portuguese but usually talk to some norwegian people i know, only two of those people are musicians, and all them speak english better than most americans or better than most english people, and german musicians the same situation cause once i had a talk with Mille Petroza from Kreator and i understood every word he said.
By the way, is easier to speak english or even understand it if that language is spoken by Norwegian, Swedish or even German musicians due to the fact their work is to sing in english, so, for them English is so natural such is their own language.
I'm Portuguese born in Lisbon but i speak English (and speak better than i write it), French, Spanish, a few German and understand a few Norwegian and a few Swedish.
Scandinavians usually have a good grasp of English. Norway has the most English speakers per head than anywhere in the world where it isn't an official language.

lol, he just slammed slipknot. I've been a longtime fan of Satyricon, I just saw them two nights ago with Cradle and Septic Flesh. He is a true showman, not only did he pump the crowd more than either of the other bands, but all the members of Satyricon clapped for the fans and bowed at the end. They're really appreciative of their supporters and are true musical artists.

Man, thinking back on my first music is a trip! For me I grew up on mostly anything from pink floyd, hendrix, zepplin, lepperd, to 80's metal! Then when in 9th grade a friend of mine introduced me to VENOM from then on it was amazing. lol now I listen to it all!

I believe the first album I had hurd was KISS Destroyer. Not sure what age 9, 10 perhaps. Then Cypress Hill etc but I was always and till this day a KISS fanatic. The energy Ace Frehley had on stage was amazing. Then later in my later teens definitly Black/Death metal. Burzum/Cannibal Corpse, Death etc.

Hey great interview with my future ex-husband. He cut his hair cuz he was nervous about meeting my parents but it was all good, he could charm the dress off a nun and make her think it was all HER idea. Ha ha. Besides, hair grows back, although this new look is kinda growing on me so I don't care. Long, short, bald...he ALWAYS looks hot. :P

Wow, so hostile! And so clueless since you apparently did not understand the fact that I was just KIDDING. I thought the "Ha Ha" would be a dead giveaway but that too went right over your head. Sure, he's attractive but looks fade and music is forever. I'm a huge fan now after seeing them open for CoF. "Vikingland" is the BEST SONG EVER! I like that they're not afraid to experiment. A band needs to change or stagnate. This is why Satyricon has outlasted the others.
and this goes for metal, when you are older you realize magic about old rnr bands, surf rock. and not to forget doom all the way from extreme drone like earth, sunn, over epic legens like pentagram, saint vitus, black sabbath, witchunter general, pagan altar to legends of present time like down, eyehategod, crowbar, lord vicar, reverend bizarre... this is best music ever.

@KnightsOfTheDamned i agree with almost everything you've said here friend but i dont know if they are the greatest band to come from norway you have to think of all the other incredible bands like gorgoroth, Gorgoroth is an excellent band.

that's funny i started out listening to slipknot then some death metal then satyricon. lol
shit when me and my buddy went to their concert it was fucking awesome we had backstage passes and we fucking got to talk and fucking hang out with him it was amzing

@stonesour113 alot of black metal bands down downtune that far, satyricon generally on tune to d# standard. plus that arguement is already faulted when talking about slipknot, who use drop b or b standard. I'm not saying it's bad or anything and i agree with the statement on bands becoming mainstream. but black metal, in my opinion, takes as much, if not more, talent as bands like slipknot and those bands. it's just a different set of skills and abilties

blackmetal like satyricon is a mixture of many metal extreme influences...and guys like this only talk about the necesary bands to be far and specials ..far from really pioneers of extreme metal like thrashers or grindcore bands..im taking about sodom ..blasphemy..slayer..even old metallica....i hate the lies...black metal today is a mixture of all includes pop ..ambient ..doom.. gothic ..industrial..punk....new age music...satyr looks like falco..in black crow..chamaleon-metal..not black

@metallover54 Well, as all early norwegian black metal bands they took a stand against Christianity, and by that sometimes using satanic symbols. They are not satanists, but they have used satanic images.
