Hi there. Sorry to hear that you have failed this scenario. Did you managed to tackle the scenario given to you during your exam? You really have to discuss the nursing needs and medical problems. It is part of the marking criteria.

Hi Nurse Niezl, Please in SBAR the medication that we're to mention in background, is it the one on the Overview history(drug history) or the one on the MAR chart? Also, if it is the ones on the MAR chart, are we mentioning only the ones that we've served or all the medications on the MAR including what was not due at our time? Thanks.
SBAR? like in the Evaluation Station? If this is during the evaluation then: SBAR-Background : Yes mention the medications that is mentioned in the Drug History of the patient found in the Assessment Paper. SBAR-Assessment : Yes, mention the medication that you have given to the patient and medication that was also due but you have omitted, mention the reason why you did.
Nurse Nizel, i realised you based your planning needs on the current news score given in the evaluation but not during your assessment that's the understanding i got. My reason is that initially your news score was two. You also verbalised that the patient didn't have pain but you managed pain since you gave a score, then in your recommendation you verbalise again patent has no pain. Can you clear these doubts for me? Thanks
usually in the evaluation, they will give you a latest Observations with pain score which you will compare from early assessment. this is the reason why she wasn't mentioned it in the last part.
If my patient is manikin, so do I need to check its vital signs or just write the same as it will be written in the scenario? or do I have to pretend it?
Assessment is a station in which they will assess you on how to do your Observations, if you don not do that, then you will fail. Since this is Evaluation Station, the Observations of the patients are already written in the scenario sheet, all you have to do is organise your thoughts before you hand over.
I don't think you will be wronged for that. However, I suggest, do the allergy check after checking the patient's details (Full name, DOB, Hospital No. / Address) then asked for allergies and allergic reaction.
You said in the evaluation station that you gave furosemide but in the implementation station you did not give it because the prescription was incomplete. You only gave bisoprolol and paracetamol.
Nice, you were really listening.. Anyway, patient was given furosemide in A&E as mentioned in the scenario in the Assessment. Did not meant "I" , just patient was given furosemide. That was the correction there. Good job.

NOT AT ALL. You will be verbally assessed. What you wrote doesn't count, it's what you're handing over verbally.
