This does make me wonder... Did Don Fitzcarraldo really regret that tape, or did he actually enjoy that event, but only through seeing it after being reborn as Vendata does he see the betrayal and hate for Jonas.

Jonas literally sabotaged his plane and went to look for his brain to make vendata, originally wanted him to be blue morpho but it didn’t work out the way he thought so he threw him away

What's interesting about this is, is that this is the second time they reference that Yoda scene from Star Wars; the first is with Dr. Killinger and Rusty where Rusty is almost convinced to be a super-villain.
This scene has the opposite, with the Monarch, who is a super-villain being shown evidence that he is meant to be a hero (or anti-hero) with his dad being the Blue Morpho.
You get that whole failure motif combined with the two characters being foils with each other combined with the campy pop-culture reference stuff that makes Venture Bros. in this scene alone.
It's so going to turn out that Venture was just a dick kid one day at a party that his dad invited the Monarchs parents to and that's why he hates him. Something really truely petty.
Just reproduce the same scene 24 times, and you have 23 times less of having to come up with actual clever writing.

When I first saw this scene, I laughed that Blue Morpho and Jonas would do a porno.
Now after Arrears of science, all I could here when that played is Blue Morpho saying _"Sure, but you took Kano as payment for your services and you hung that tape over my head for years to do your dirty work."_
I once saw a comment which was “The Blue Morpho is a hero pretending to be a villain whereas Dr. Venture is a villain pretending to be a hero.”
this makes that episode where the monarch found a picture of his childhood in a venture compound playing with rusty have alot more sense.
yeah they were teasing the blue morpho thing since season 5. And there's probably still another reveal to do with Vendata.
+jason blitz Call me crazy, but now we know about the Blue Morpho, I am starting to suspect, rather strongly, that the Monarch may actually have been Jonas' son. I could easily be wrong, but it'd still be pretty crazy if Malcolm was in fact a Venture.

I've kind of figured all along that Rusty and Monarch were at least half brothers.
While Jonas did take advantage of the Blue Morpho, he did this to himself. He made the choice to cheat on his wife knowing it was being recorded.
He expressed regret at the very least
Blue Morpho made a mistake. A grievous one to be certain, but one he regretted and was certainly willing to atone for.
The list of "Mistakes" Jonas Venture has made is too long and too horrendous to write down here.
Morpho may have signed the check, but in the end he wasn't the one who cashed it in.

And even Rusty in the later seasons came up with the ‘God Gas’ and the super science Spanish fly (the stuff that mutated Molotov’s blackhearts at the homeschool prom) so who’s to say his father didn’t do it before him?

@@nyotamwuaji6484 Well, it's stated in season 6 that SOMEONE claimed the bounty that the Guild of Calamitous Intent had put on Blue Morpho. So he it was almost certainly brought down on purpose by someone. I just don't know that it was Jonas Venture.
@@StNick119 Well... I mean... Kano could have been doing it on Jonas' orders. After all, Action Man claimed Kano stopped talking after killing Venturion, but he also didn't speak in that entire flashback. Alternatively, Venturion snapping might have simply been when Kano realized that not only had he killed his former friend, but all shred of the man he used to be was proven to be completely lost when he strangled a child. He hadn't just killed a good man, but, rather, took him from the world.

I'm 100% certain that Jonas talked the Blue Morpho into doing this just so he could blackmail him with the tape. Later when it shows the Blue Morpho reacting in horror to the video Jonas has this evil smile on his face like he's Emperor Palpatine. He *KNOWS* that he has the Blue Morpho right where he wants him. Everything Jonas Venture Sr did to the Blue Morpho was to assert his dominance and feed his massive ego. Jonas trapped the Blue Morpho w/ a tape he could use to blackmail him into doing his dirty work, he had sex with the Blue Morpho's wife, and he took Kano away from him.
I just noticed something, I hear Mr. peanutbutter's voice when the blue morpho talks, he has like that same upbeat positive note to it.

Monarch and 21. Mostly because it give the monarch a friend and gave 21 a outlet after losing 24. They both needed a good friend and now they have one. The monarchs actually a lot better for it too.

l dont know wich is better VB or R&M... they are just too great for this world
+hard mode I like them both at the same level but for different reasons. I honestly can't see either one being better than the other because the writing in them is so good. Like VB is great for the parodies of various comic/ 'adventure' heroes and the villians that pop up where you're like "Oh, it's VB version of The Green Goblin, awesome!", the light mockery of people who geek out over pop culture and it's always fun seeing Brock Samson kick ass. But it also has great drama to it as well. Rick and Morty is utterly nuts but still fairly grounded, can pretty much go anywhere it wants with the R&M universe and again has good tension.
If someone asked me which is better, I couldn't answer.
VB and R&M are both great, but I still miss BD, BD, SJ, and M.
+hard mode The way I see it VB is much more story-centric while in R&M the emphasis is more on the parody being much more frequent, satirical and off the cuff. I prefer VB for binge watching but each episode of R&M stands on its own(mostly) so can be enjoyed thoroughly in smaller chunks. Both are great at what they do which makes it hard to judge but I'd give the edge to VB based simply on how far its come from season one that level of improvement shows a real love for the show that R&M haven't had the time to display yet.
TL;DR: Both are great but VB has had more time to mature and grow.
l dont know,its just that when l see any of them l feel so overwhelmed with quality, and qualities that l just cant help myself but to forget everything else , its like freedom from everything from the begining to the end, nothing like lve seen before thats for sure

@@basillah7650 That's how it seems, and I think Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer actually said that as a goof in one of the commentaries, but in a later season episode, Hank and Dean were born before Brock came on the scene. Myra was still the bodyguard. Did I forget something? (It's easy to forget things from this show since the seasons are so far apart and so much sh*t is going on). Did Brock meet Rusty before he became his bodyguard?
(Edit: I know they met in college, but I don't think any DNA would've gotten collected at that point. I mean, did he meet him after that but before Myra left and Hank and Dean were born, and before that episode where they're already in clone tanks and Brock's going to be the new bodyguard?).
